If you are ever in need of a restoration go with a contractor that you fell comfortable with, not the one that your insurance company suggests you go with.

VBS construction and especially Jeff Hughes, the construction supervisor , was the utmost professional who always returned telephone calls and answered questions quickly and promptly. Jeff crew was courteous and professional. The work was done within the time parameters, and you can see the pride these gentlemen take in there work. When the work was finished we went through our home with Jeff and a check list to finish any touch up that needed to be done. I would recommend VBS to any one at any time. Fantastic customer service.

I am disappointed that they built my sprinkler system inside the wall. I had to pay an addition $260 to have it pulled out. Everything they did was a 4 they didn't realize that they were actually building the structure around the sprinkler system.

VBS was very professional. I was especially satisfied with the painters. They were very courteous and did exceptional work.

The team was excellent, very friendly with us (the homeowners) and seemed to be great pals that enjoyed working together! And Jeff Hughes, the Project Manager, was a perfect guy for that job. I would highly recommend VBS to anyone who had a repair or construction enhancement need!

After a fire on our patio Allstate referred us to VBS. Jeff our contractor went above and beyond all of my expectations. He got me everything I really wanted and I can honestly say I am going to miss them being around! Robert was the first person to come over to begin the clean up of debris. His bright and positive conversation with me made me realize that this experience wasn't going to be so stressful. Barry and his Uncle Simon installed my French doors, painted, applied drywall, and stained our concrete and much more with such care and precision. They were so helpful with all of my questions and I enjoyed our conversations as well! I looked forward to seeing them and I cant say enough about how great they were! Andres who applied my new stucco was very professional and did such a great job! Joe and Carlos did sanding and painting on the walls and they both were very courteous and kind! Everyone who worked this job truly made me feel at ease and I would never use anyone else after having the pleasure of meeting them. VBS was very professional throughout my project. I never had any doubt that we would finish on time despite issues with the city and permitting. I would definitely do business with VBS again in the future.

The timeline was not clear from the start and once we asked about dates, they were constantly moving and adjusting. Our project was not a priority for them and we had no kitchen for 5 weeks. The organization regarding the project seemed poor and they never asked us about shelves for the cabinets or the set up. As a result, they sometimes seemed they didn't know what parts would be needed, resulting in delays because of missing pieces they didn't order, like baseboard strips for the cabinets or cabinet faces...which struck me as pretty basic. Quality was fine, but i would have liked better communication.

the quality of the material used for what to be custom made cabinets were outrageous. using 1/2 inch partical board for base cabinets. warped; tooling marks; and not fitting properly of the doors and drawers were ridiculous. Something one would find in a high school wood shop. I ended up firing this company and got a real cabinet maker.

Outstanding customer service and workmanship

VBS completed the job ahead of schedule and completely cleaned up the worksite when finished. Just by looking you wouldn't have known they were even there (except for the new repairs).

Allen was above and beyond excellent. He even worked Saturday.

We could not be more pleased with all of the work performed by VBS Construction after a electrical fire in our garage. The repairs included drywall replacement, complete repaint, 2 fire doors and recessed lighting. The smoke damage was quite extensive and Jeff Hughes, the Project Manager, did a wonderful job of making the garage look as though it is brand new. Their attention to detail by Derek Chase, Joe and Barry was the best I have seen in the construction industry. Randolph C. Harris
