The job came out well but I can't honestly recommend USA Bath because of the lead time on getting anything started. I signed the contract in March and the job was completed at the end of August. Add to that the terms from USA Bath were 50% of the total job cost up front. Meant giving USA Bath $6,000 then waiting five months before anything happened.
For the relatively high price and the job not being done correctly in the first place, it is a bit difficult to refer a friend. I think paying as much as I did for a shower remodel, I would have expected better workmanship and for the job to be done right the first time. Instead somebody has to come back to redo the caulking and re-attach the tub spout that came off the wall the first time the water was turned on to the tub. I'd be a little embarrassed to demand that kind of money and offer that kind of workmanship. Especially taking the extra day it took to accomplish. Was supposed to be done in two days, but instead took three.
We put an order in March, and they didn't do the work until last week! It's been six months.
After the installation, the customer service was lacking. I have a problem, but I'm not able to get in touch with anyone.
My recommendation would come with a warning reguarding the installer who actually installed our walk-in shower. Get anyone but him. Shoddy work and had to be re-done.
Highly recommend! The installation crew (Vince) was professional, courteous, concerned with safety, skilled, on time, tidy and had great communication! We had a spa tub to shower conversion. The installation crew encountered some challenges. Vince consulted with another excellent member of the team (sorry I just can’t recall the name) and a solution was found quickly. The change order charge was totally reasonable and in accordance with the contract terms. The finished product is exactly what we had hoped for and more. We are 100% satisfied!
They did outstanding work - but it did take five days.
USA Bath did a quality job on my tub installation.
Working with USA Bath was so easy and so pleasant. The sales person was very knowledgeable, brought many samples of materials and designs available and and was able to advise us on the best look for our home. On the day of the installation the workman showed up on time and went promptly to work. He took care not to damage our home and cleaned up when he left. He made sure we were satisfied with all of his work and kept us informed of the progress and any problems he encountered. Overall a wonderful experience!
I am very pleased.
We had to have it repaired twice, and it had a major leak that was never repaired. We had to give our home buyer and $8,000 credit due to that.
An excellent product and installation. I have sent two people and I know one has purchased a redo of both bathrooms
After signing the contract, we had been talking to a few friends about the price and they were all shocked. That's what I get for not getting other quotes.
We have been having health problems, and Bath Planet was very contentious of this, worked around it, and were very helpful.
There was a distinct lack of communication. As soon as the contract was signed, it was 'don't call us, someone will contact you'. We had a projected start date of 8 weeks from the date of when we signed the contract, and finally called someone after not hearing anything that whole time. They said it would be another month before work started.
We had to pay a permit fee at the end of completion, which we weren't informed of beforehand. The glass was not sealed all the way so there was leaking and we had to call someone to come fix it. Plus, we got a letter 2 months after completion stating we needed to have an inspector come and look at everything and to do it before our permit expired or we'd have to purchase another one.
I guess I thought a project of that magnitude would have had all those details ironed out by the company I used, and if not, would have informed me of what I would need to do to make sure the job was complete; but there was a definite lack of communication.
They left out a bunch of stuff when we went through the initial, which caused us more money.
There was a problem in my bathroom and I called them and the response was slow. We had to call a number of times. It was a warranty job but I still had to pay out of my pocket for someone else to fix the job.
The work done looks very nice, however, I guess I hadn't different expectations. No fault of my representatives.
A little expensive…
We were just very please with the work USA Bath did with both of our bathrooms.
They cut the cement and didn't cover anything up. They left the door open and it took me two to three days to clean the dust, and they didn't tell me that there will be dust everywhere.
We had to have a leak fixed twice. That is the only reason it is not 5 stars.
It has been a lifesaver. no more fever of falling in the shower.
One stop solution.
We were very pleased with the ones who installed the new shower, and then the shower doors. We were happy with the materials used.
We were very frustrated with the office contacts. We received an email saying our finish date would be 4-5 weeks late. No reason given. Then when we received a call that our materials had arrived and ready for the installation, we were told the earliest available date for all next installation would be another month. So the project began nine weeks after the initial end date, two weeks after the postponed end date. Then the "2-3 weeks" for the shower doors was over a month.
So the completion was over two months past what our salesperson said.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of USA Bath as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
