Never would talk to us about the slider window that was manufactured. Even the installers and the engineers that came onsite agreed the window installed wasn't what we wanted installed.
Our windows showed up for install with one broken and 5 the incorrect size. The reorder never went through which caused a lengthy delay in the completion of our project. A manager by the name of Carey was supposed to contact us to discuss money being taken off of our project because of all of the problems and issues, STILL waiting for that phone call. VERY disappointed with customer service and follow up from your team.

We like the windows and are happy with our choice. Only disappointing part is it has not taken away the chill. Of the house. Not surprised.

Absolutely not this was the longest installation process I have ever dealt with you guys could never get anything right there's no communication and when you are trying to talk to someone higher up when you finally get to someone they obviously just move on to another job without you know someone else taking over and when you call for updates the staff is super rude won't let you talk to anyone higher up than them this was an awful experience and I will let everybody I can know

The installers were ridiculous - everything was a problem and an argument - we live in a home not an empty house the installers refused to move a thing and obviously had issues with my blinds being up - I did (10 books on the ground and 4 pairs of shoes) after a lot of nonsense, dismay and sighs - the one young man went outside to call his boss and explain how they weren’t going to install - I moved the tings myself - took 2 minutes - and I am on a walker and my mother is 77 years old. They also refused to slide a 3 foot table in the front picture window just slide it! - they purposely ripped blinds down in the upstairs bedroom (where the books were in their way) and threw the blinds on the bed and put a coffee table on top of them on the bed (and they are still all there until my friend goes to purchase new blinds and install them- as they were leaving they said “they took care of everything upstairs” left all the stickers on the windows - and still accepted the tips - because they swore they put everything back upstairs- the whole situation was completely different from when we purchased windows from you before- these guys were completely unreasonable and had no problem showing how put out they were

Windows are built cheaply! Already have problems with parts breaking, felts falling out when I take the out to clean. Improper installation on one window so we couldn't unlatch to clean Turnaround for service is 2 weeks.
Universal Windows Direct replaced 6 windows for me and they did an amazing job! Highly recommend!
It took several calls to get someone to call back. Unfortunately, I was told 6 to 8 weeks October 15th around there. But the windows have not been installed, due to be installed on December 2nd

I love the windows. The work was good. When they finished two of the screens were torn. I was told they'd come back the next day to repair them.
I was told that the windows carried a lifetime warranty: even if my kids threw a baseball through them, it would be covered. I went with Universal Windows Direct because of that.
I broke one of the windows and of course it was not covered. I ordered a replacement sash in June and it was never installed. I finally was able to get the sash delivered, but I had to install it myself.

Initial window installation had to be rescheduled since wrong trim material was sent and took several phone calls before 2nd installation was scheduled; when 2nd installation occurred, window screens were not correct, some caulking area was missed. We had to call customer service several times before we were able to reach someone who actually took action to fix the issues. We were told that the color of our caulk (brown!) was not available and we had to wait for it to be ordered and arrive. Overall displeased with the service from start (salesman) to completion. Should not have been so hard!

Terrible experience with office staff. Was ready to cancel contract on the second day after signing.
The initial install date was not scheduled correctly and when the installers showed up they were outwardly upset towards my family. When my wife called the office to re schedule the person over the phone yelled at her and was essentially blaming her for the scheduling error. When they came back on the re scheduled date they came 90 minutes early which we were not prepared for. At the end of the day the workers asked my wife to use the toilet, and later on that night when we went to use them the upstairs one was clogged and the downstairs one was clogged and had poop smeered all over the bowl to the point where I couldn’t stomach cleaning it and I can’t plunge it. Wish we went with another company this second time around, a very very poor experience.
We ordered windows three times from UWD. Twice, our windows installation was halted in midstream because the J channels were not ordered. Another time, while I was recovering from surgery, your customer rep informed us we may be charged a storage fee because we wanted to delay installation until I recovered in 2 weeks. I had to clear it with a manager. That is not good service. Our 1st experience saw our front window valance knocked off when the installers brought the picture windows in to install it. They also put the screens in incorrectly and left 2 screws out of the shutters. A rep came by a week later to inspect and resolve the matter satisfactorily. Overall, we like the windows, but the order handling, ensuring the orders are complete for installers, and the customer service could be much better.

When millions were removed the pieces of trim that replaced the area were installed very sloppy and with excess caulk. Expected the piece of trim to be replaced not a scrap piece caulked in the hole.
John was very professional. He really tried to find a way to make things work.

Your customer service and follow through is terrible. I have yet to receive my replacement screen from June install and was told it was ordered. Where was it ordered from? It should never take this long (November now).
I didn’t realize I would lose window space with replacements. There is less light coming into my house now because the edges of the windows are 2-3 times thicker than my previous windows.
The pricing was a lot more than we expected. Not sure anyone we know would be able to afford the windows but we would still recommend
1. You guys come out with a sales rep explaining how your windows are so much better than everyone else’s. I know that’s a load of crap.
2. Pressure selling is what your sales rep did. I know I fell for it. So it’s my fault I accepted. But it doesn’t leave a good taste in my mouth.
3. You guys charged me 7500 dollars for ONE WINDOW. Buy one get one free right? How does one window cost 7500 dollars. Yes it was a big window. But 7500 dollars? Never again.
Technicians were both very skilled and detail oriented. They took their time to do it the right way.
There is an inch at the bottom of the new door, opposite the hinges, where I see light. One windows is not finished. There are two trim pieces not installed
The workers did not finish what they were supposed to do or my understanding of what was to be done. The quality looks great over all though.

Not much follow up after we placed order concerning progress of order. The day of installation was a complete mess. We were scheduled for 8-10 so we waited. I finally called at 0940 and was told our installation time was 12-2. I said that was not correct because we would not have been available at that time. After being put on hold for quite awhile, I finally asked to have a manager call me. Cary called me and apologized, he said the scheduler had mistakenly put the wrong time for our appointment. I told him I wanted the window installed that day and I would call him as soon as we got home but it might not be until close to 3P. He gave me what he assured me was his “direct” line which was not true, it was the general line. One of us arrived home at 1P and I called and left Cary three messages. He never returned my calls. Around 3P the installers arrived with no call indicating they were enroute. The guys installed the window and got ready to leave. They left the outside frame dirty and were going to leave it that way until we told them to clean it. The whole day was a mess and we were very disappointed.
Once an order is placed, patience is a must. You have to contact them for updates. Change installation dates multiple times. Promise to contact you after installation to make the experience right and never did.

I purchased your windows and a door in part because of the lifetime warranty at no cost. You changed that. There is now a fee for a service visit.
