First of all getting in contact with you is absolutely impossible. I even had to submit a Better Business Bureau complaint. Never received a copy of the contract until after the complaint was filed. Once we scheduled an install date. I got a no-show with no communication, I thought I had gotten to finally speak with somebody who could help me resolve my issuesand rescheduled the install, but only one person showed up for that. On the second day, I had two people, but no one spoke in English. They relied on a translator app, which wasn’t clear tried to contact the office. Nobody returned my call or my email. The wrong trim color was installed on my house, I had a couple of rotten boards which were replaced, but it was replaced with raw wood and will ride again in the next year or two because it wasn’t sealed or weather treated. When the siding was removed, it was scattered all over my yard. There was no cleanup until the third day when a dumpster finally arrived. I couldn’t speak to anyone on the crew because there was no person in charge that I could tell and no one spoke enough English for me to communicate any issues. The crew did not follow OSHA standards, it was just a couple of Spanish-speaking guys. I still owe you guys the final payment because no one is contacted me to make that final payment. I truly don’t understand how you run a business like this.
I will never recommend this company

We are very happy with our windows and looking forward to getting our new doors! The warranty and quality of the products are really great as well.
The sales representative was very informative of the product and demonstrated that your product would save me money on my utility bills. Your installer was very polite and professional and had the windows installed in about 2 hours.
Finish the job no gutters or need to have better communications on when they are going to finish contract
If we know of anyone needing anything we will give you a referrell
The sales guy said I'd be able to open my door with 2 fingers. I figured that was an exaggeration but it's not even close. It's just as hard to open as my old door. The installers scratched the frame as well.
Tired chasing down for issues w my door
Windows arrived with multiple damages and I have now been waiting multiple months due to continuous ordering errors by your procurement team.
The crew that installed my windows and siding were friendly, professional and did an awesome job. I inspected after they left, they're clean up was amazing. Couldn't tell they were even here.
From sales to install the experience with universal windows was in one word superior
My installer was professional and efficient. He also communicated with me through the process. He installed 4 basement windows in 4 to 5 hours. The windows look great!

Your customer service may be the worst I've ever seen. When you were trying to sell me the windows I had no trouble getting ahold of you. After they were sold it was a totally different story. Installers were great.
Communication is terrible. Won’t respond to my emails. I need a paid invoice for the job.
You didn't. Your products are a bit too expensive for the people l know.
Great product, great service.
Jordan and Caleb were very efficient installing the windows.
Our salesperson gave us incorrect information, leading to a delay in production, and was unresponsive when I reached out with questions. The customer service center is a hot mess. The connection sounded like robots in a tin can or I could hear five different conversations at once. One representative informed me that the permit hadn't been pulled from the city when I called after seven weeks after the measuring took place. The next week a different customer service representative informed me that the first person had given me incorrect information, the permit had been pulled before the windows went to manufacturing and they would take four more weeks. My salesperson told me it would take five weeks initially, then up to seven weeks. Ultimately this lead to the windows being installed at the same time that my kitchen was gutted for a renovation.
The actual installation was very good. Crew was very diligent and worked hard through the day, taking the same time and attention to detail at hour 12 they took at hour 1-2. The job estimating, delivery estimating and scheduling could be better. I reached out to the company at three and a half weeks to find out the status of the order/delivery and was told, “we were just going to contact you, you need to sign a change request. The change request had to do with the original front door option and an alternate decreed by corporate. Fine, signed it. Got an email at week 7-8 saying windows/door were on track and call to set up installation. Excellent! Called up to offer up installation dates, and was told my dates did not fit. In addition, if storage was required I would be responsible for paying for it. When I pushed back about the delay due to the company dictated change request, I was told “I am just reading the contract.” I was never charged for storage - thank you. During this call, I told them the days I would be available to allow install 19-20 August. On 15 August I get a call from an installation supervisor, “I have a great opportunity, I can have a crew at your house tomorrow! Let’s get this done. I felt pressured to say yes, despite not being able to be home. I said “Yes” initially and then four hours later called and canceled, emphasizing that 19 or 20 August were the days I could have the windows installed. Installation finally happened on 19 August. Window quality appears good. Value for money appears good, I am happy with the purchase.
The window we were told could be used to escape the basement, has 5 inches of clearance. Something happened with the fit of one so it couldn't get installed with the others, they were supposed to come back yesterday, it was a no call no show. The outside of the windows don't look finished because it is our rusty old frames.
From start to finish the process was amazing, salesperson was friendly and knowable and explained everything. Installers were professional and friendly, cleaned everything after they finished.
They slide from side to side but I cain't get to clean the outside becuase they are to heavy to lift. The salesman only had one sample. Also I ask about window being tented in front. center of big window in front does not have the screen. not good at all.
Great windows
Extremely happy with install team
Additional Comments - Excellent service highly recommend
caulking
Install crew were considerate and well trained.

For 21,000 I should have had top notch windows and I should not have know the workers were here
Professionalism and cleanliness
I am having trouble with the door that was installed the handle does not latch and every time I open my garage door the door blows open so I have a unsecured door to my house and no one can come till next week I find this unacceptable
The issue with windows not remaining open is the reason for the 4 stars. Also, I don’t think customers should be charged a service call to have this particular issue resolved.
Cost is much higher than comparable product from other stores

Overall, the process was good. It took a long time to get it installed and the installation gets a C- grade for poor joints and leaving the window dirty. I got a fair price and I like the product.
I like my windows and the first installer did a great job but he wasn’t prepared (with a second person) to install my kitchen window. He said the company would call me to set up another date to install it. They never called so a week later I contacted and set up a day/time. They come and install it and use raw wood around the opening (which is fine I just didn’t know it wouldn’t be flush). They removed the old trim but didn’t bring trim to replace it with and the spaces left for trim wasn’t uniform. Then they caulk the raw wood with clear silicone caulk that cannot be painted leaving it impossible to paint the wood without removing the caulk. They even left the sticky label on the window and the outside looks odd around the siding. They leave with the same comment that the company would call me to set up a time/day to complete the trim. Again no call. I again call and set up a day. In the meantime the company does call me on 2 different occasions saying that I’ve requested a quote for windows (which I’ve already had and have them installed). The next installer comes but isn’t quite sure what to do as no one took pictures so he didn’t realize what the space looks like and that the trim will need to fit unequal spaces. He was also to remove the clear silicone and replace with white caulk. He did a good job making the trim look like it should but did not get all the silicone removed but caulked over it ( and a messy job on the caulking as well) I think you need more training for “professional” installation. The installation on that final window was far from a professional job that we paid for.
The workers were very friendly, nice polite, respected my property and did a fantastic job on the windows

I will attach the list below of the things that are not satisfactory. I would appreciate the damaged items being fixed. I would also appreciate my questions being answered and repairs made as needed. I am aware the amount of time this project took can not be changed for me, but I highly recommend that a discussion happen with future customers to verify they do not mind the amount of time involved.
This was a 13 hour job. This is too long.
The men worked hard.
There was a lot of dust and debris on the horizontal surfaces and carpet. 2 of the bedrooms had the most particulate. The particulate appeared to include sawdust, plastic, siding, and fiberglass insulation. We had to clean, dust, and change the sheets before we could go to bed. We spent the next 3 days cleaning. All blankets and comforters had to go to the cleaners.
Most of the windows seem to have a problem with their seal. The upper window has what looks like a rubber seal on the bottom. One or both sides of this seal is pushed down instead of staying flat.
The windows in the Change room, kitchen, and living room have some plaster knocked loose by the sill. The change room wall close to the sill has a nail that has started to back out of the wall.
The door to the garage does not appear to sit against the seal. From the garage side, the bottom of the door touches the seal but the top does not. On both sides there is an orange tag at the bottom of both sides of the jam.
The living room window screen middle does not sit in the slide channel on the outside. Each end does. There is a nail sticking out of the frame on the outside.
The sill on the living room window has at least 3 holes in the wood.
The screen’s direction sticker is upside down. Does that mean the screen is upside down?
The outside top of the slider looks like it is not flush, there is a gap. I am concerned this will allow water to infiltrate. Our metal siding has marks on it from the trimming to make the slider fit. The drywall by the slider was cracked.
I have picked up at least 8 pieces of metal trimmings laying in the yard and in bushes.
We felt from the beginning of the process to the installation that it all went very smooth.
Everything
The whole process was very easy and they did a nice job
It seemed that the regional manager was super interested and talkative when he wanted to give me a deal so good I couldn’t refuse. As soon as I signed the contracts i felt totally ghosted.
Timely and professional. Very well executed.
Quality product, friendly staff and reasonable price
very professional install
My feelings were buy two get two we only purched three so i felt that the third one should have been free
My mom and brother both went through you universal and so we went ahead and went with and did not regret it!
Additional Comments - Kevin Foley was a great representative of the company and we are excited and feel good about our new windows!!
