Windows look great. Install was done very well. Extremely pleased overall and love the look and function of the new windows.
Windows put in backwards rain x 2 came in through the windows. Sent a man the first crew put in backwards he fixed all window then mold
no pressure sales presentation; listened to our interests, match our needs with products.
Fast efficient installation and clean up
it was a nightmare to get into contact with warranty team
Great product but communication is subpar. You are not provided a contact to reach out to with concerns or questions. Our sales person was non-responsive after the process started. Only after a couple of calls did I get to speak with Andrew in Production. He was helpful but didn't return my call the last time I left a voicemail.
Windows were installed in mid August. It took until mid October to get siding and soffit fixed and yet after all this time the soffit is still wrong and doesn’t match the rest of the soffit on the house.
You took care of one problem and have not responded to the other
While the service charge was waived this time, I was informed that even though my contract says free replacement or repair, as of 2024 there will be a $150 service charge. I find this unacceptable to change my contract.
From purchase to installation, everyone one was very professional and took time to answer all our questions. The windows look great.
The work was done well and our windows and doors look great.
they, (the installation crew) were here on time, very easy to deal with, very careful with stuff it it needed to be moved, installation went very smoothly, once lower windows were removed and new installed and in place, the crew kinda split up and half went upstairs and started the removal process and getting the new ones set in place, and the other half started on doing the final install and trim and sealing joints and seams down stairs, then went up stairs to help the other half with the trim and sealing the joints, then they all picked up scraps plastic
How very efficient they were installing our windows. Answered all our questions before, during and after installing.
We liked the quality of the windows and the ease of cleaning them.
My other windows were so old & I could not open them these I can. They keep a lot of noise out of my house
Everything was clearly laid out for me to understand the process from sales to installation was really easy to understand.
Absolutely love my windows and the installers… my issues have been with customer service, management and sales staff. Lack of follow through, communication and eve
The crew that installed was exceptional. not only did they take the time to understand our wants and needs, they also took the time several times during the install to make recommendations that would improve the install.
They were scheduled for one day but were meticulous and had to come back for a second day to make sure they had everything buttoned up correctly.
We like our windows and doors and we've had great customer support.
Placing an order was quick and easy with sales person. When windows came in they were installed in a professional and a quick and easy manner. Thank you as always from us to Universal Windows Direct. Great Job !
As long as you don’t notice anything after you’ve paid or have any questions, they are fine, but I’ve been waiting for someone to contact me for over two weeks now about why the sill on one window is bowed and why I was told one window would be wrapped on certain parts and it isn’t and no one is contacting me back.
Friendly and respectful
After sales, not enough direct contact with regular updates.
Process was supper easy. Received product on time. Installation went quick and windows look fabulous! So happy with the whole process. The installer was great and had no problems. Thsnk you.
The windows work properly and are beautiful to look out of. The looks are not flimsy.
We have a mess up and they are not willing to fix it
The quality of the windows really is top notch and in looking at their competitors products there really was no comparison. The sales call was very thorough and provided a lot of info. Once I agreed to purchase the windows I would have liked to get more updates from them and it got to the point where I felt like they were more interested in my money than me as a customer.
It is my gutters. I was told I would not have to climb on a latter any more to clean my gutters. now I have to climb a latter to clean the screens that cover my gutters. I could have saved money and not bought the screens.
Very much!!
I think the quality construction of the windows, coupled with the process of ordering and installation of the windows, makes Universal Windows Direct the place to go for windows as an investment.
The friendly installers and the efficiency in the installation.
The knowledge and interpersonal skills of the installer.
I voiced specific concern regarding sound transmission and wanting noise reduction. Sales did not know the sound transmission rating for windows. Said he installed double pane for people next to a train and that I didn't need triple pane or laminated windows as double would be fine. I was willing to pay extra for the most sound reduction. I'm very disappointed with the lack of change in noise reduction
Price and service was excellent
The installation was horrible and the issues have not been resolved 3 years later
They don't tell you if you don't want the windows you have to pay large sum to cancel
I felt rushed into a decision at 9pm at night due to the boss of our salesperson pushing a 5% use it or lose it discount. For install, I was scheduled for a Tuesday and the crew came out Monday and said they had other jobs the next day. I had to rearrange my schedule and rush to prepare the room. Also, when I was scheduling, the girl told me “a few hours” for install when I was on the phone, not up to two days. Although I assumed as much, but No one ever told me to move furniture or prepare my home for the project. I have never gotten windows before so a more thorough explanation of what to expect when scheduling would be nice. When I called our salesperson and asked if I could have the boss’s number because I had a few things I’d like to discuss, I was told he would call me that day and I never got a call or an email for that matter. There was insulation left all over and we had to rehang the blinds and clean up taking up the rest of our night and into the next day. My shutters were also put back on crooked. So I will have to find time to climb on my roof and rehang my shutters. I had a client tell me someone came through to clean with the company she used and it’s seems like that may be something you should consider. Overall, they are nice windows, but I feel like the company got the sale and that was the main thing.
Good
Price, Quality of both windows and workmanship, and professionalism of every person involved.
I have attempted to rectify the problems we had early in contract, was never addressed at the management levels, so I have no drive to keep grabbing the wrong end of snake.Windows were purchased, installed, we will leave it at that.
Great communication. Fast turn time on the windows. Professional installation
Over-all good experience. The reason for the lower rating is for all the calls I get for future projects.
Very expensive. I shouldn't have spent that much money.
Salesperson was very knowledgeable about the products and was willing to work with us. Very nice guy. Josiah
From the sales rep (Paul Walker), to the finished job with Salvador and his 2 guys, it was a pleasure to work with.
Yes, I would recommend Universal Windows Direct to family and friends.

Despite my questioning the fit of 3 of the 5 windows at original installation, the tech insisted they were correct. Multiple calls to follow up resulted in having to repeat my issues multiple times to different reps. First resolve was to replace one window set entirely and reset 2 other windows. A cracked pane of glass was replaced in a 4th window. Reluctance by Universal Windows rep to replace half screen with originally ordered full screen ended up costing me an additional $40 and weeks of delay. Many weeks turned into several months before latest fix (replacement of insulation cord, again, on window that was fully replaced) was made (Jan 17).
