I had a very positive experience with Universal Builders. They were professional in all areas. The on-site QA lead was very responsive to my questions and clarified things where needed. I would recommend them
The process was really fairly easy and quick. That part was mind-blowing. They tore the roof off and had it back on in two days. That included my little shed also, so everything was done in two days. That was great.
Buy Owens-Corning products, they are very high quality and quite attractive, but DO NOT use this installer. If anything goes wrong, you'll be months getting it rectified if at all. Not a pleasant experience.
Except for the sales staff. The work crew and office staff were so friendly and so effective. The sales staff wouldn't show up after the sale.
Most of the work was done very quickly -- about 3 days to fully reroof a decent size house. But a few things were not ideal.A live wire was left hanging in the attic after the fan was removed. It was corrected only after I pointed it out to the QC.They didn't really sweep for nails after they were done. I asked for the sweeper and spent several hours sweeping the driveway and the property.After the main install was done, they needed to install an apron over one section. That took months.
Overall, I am satisfied with the quality of work and the communication with the staff from Universal Builders of America.
There are lots of roofing companies out there. We'd never heard of Universal before so thet had to earn our trust and confidence. And they did!
Emanuel Jones made a HUGE positive impression when he pulled in the driveway respectfully asking to assess our roof damage. Without him we would not have gotten the insurance company to acknowledge there was hail damage!!
They have good workers who worked hard.
Overall, Universal Builders of America did a great job and I would definitely hire them again.
The roof is beautiful and they did a really good job. They even used a metal detector to pick up all of the nails. We had one issue with the caulking, but they fixed it.

Universal builders were knowledgeable and Ian was on site checking out the work that was being done as the project was in progress. He kept us aware of what was being done on the project and with our insurance company.

I would recommend Universal Buildersas they are very fast and deliver what they promise. The final product is very nice. They work very well. They really explain what they will do and fight the competition in pricing as well. They fought for me with our insurance company. I'm very happy.
I checked with 4 companies before selecting this one and the two men who came out in the beginning sold me on the project. There were very professional, answered my questions, and did a great job. Everything they said, Josh and Josh, was what happened. The house looks beautiful.

I have had an A+ experience with Universal Builders. From the initial meeting and estimate through phase 1 of my build project, I have been treated with a high level of professionalism and integrity. The roofing crew was incredible, they worked from early morning until the sun set. They worked so well together it appeared that they were anticipating each others next need/move. I was impressed. I look forward to meeting the siding and gutters crews for the next two phases of the project.
They did not satisfy their agreement with me. They have not fulfilled their contract.
