Every point of communication from the time we began our process from the first meeting to the beginning of construction has been great. Anyone who is looking to build their home on their own lot will get an endorsement to use Tilson because of their experience and communication as well as their easy buy finance option.

I was happy from the price point. Especially with where we could customize the design. With the price point, we got a custom home at a reasonable price.

There were several times when communication failed. A major one was with the well. We'd already had an agreement with a company to do the work and were on their wait list. Tilson, having already closed on the construction loan, refused to pay the company we wanted to work with so we had to go with the company they had an arrangement with. Had the new company started work on time we would have likely closed in July like expected instead of late September. I can't put that on the well company because Tilson failed to tell the new company that we were moving forward with them for almost three months, which set us back greatly. We had also made changes to the plans with the sales rep that were never done. Our back door, which is a four panel glass wall, was supposed to open all the way in one direction but this one that they installed only opens in the center. We were also told that we were not responsible for providing water to the construction site but had to pay over $2,500 for water and water tank rental. I've actually reached out to Tilson several times about this but never get a call back. Lastly, on the 5th day of living here the septic system backed up into the house. Tilson warranty department sent out an electrician and I watched as he wired the septic system to the house. It had no power running to it so how it passed inspection is beyond me.

I would recommend them a friend because they were definitely a ten.

Not satisfied with the multiple changes that we requested, then ultimately finding out certain changes were not done OR can not be done.

You build a very good home but there is several areas you could improve. #1 Some of the contractors don’t seem to care are respect the property. Especially the concrete and framers. They do good work but lack respect to hat they leave behind. #2 some of your sales process is misleading in what all is covered. I would be more than glad to elaborate more if someone would call me.

Additional Comments - Tilson Homes was able to work with me when other builders would not. Currently, they are in the process of making our dream home come true.

My only issue was I felt it took too long. I loved the whole experience and if the situation come where I need another home built I would use you all, but when I say it took too long I got pre-approved buy the mortgage company you all recommend, and a whole year went by and I ended up having to do the whole pre-approval rigorous application again which wasn’t the greatest, and we sit here now. No construction is being done just a port a potty and a rock road in almost 2 years. I do know that the end result will pay off though.

Every step of the way has been an awesome experience. From designing our home to the final walkthrough. Everyone who asks us about our home we highly recommend Tilson.

My experience was very easy and hands off. Tilson really handled the whole process really well.

The in house staff was a big help when I had questions and needed help. Wayne was absolutely outstanding. He kept things going.

The experience went well overall as far as being notified by our construction manager, as to what step we were at and what to expect.

Communication - Both sales representatives Priscella S. and Construction Manager Daniel have been great on communication through email and phone.

Mike Sanchez was so communicative. He was always talking to us and answered all of our questions. He was always present, and they did a great job.

Our Tilson home is about 70% done - we are impressed with the quality materials and the quality work being done. Baylen is amazing at his job.

I am giving this a 6 solely because of Greg Freeman, John Parsons, and Jeff Waite. I have not & will not recommend the Boerne office. In fact I tell others to go the the San Marcos office. If it was not for the 3 men I mentioned this would actually be a zero. These 3 men and the work they have done has given me back my faith in Tilson and I can not recommend the builder enough. All 3 have done a fantastic job!

Our experience was really seamless. Tilson Homes met our needs from all aspects. The builder did an excellent job; he was a young man and had great attention to detail. He had a lot on his plate with the amount of builds he had, but he manages time quite well. The overall process was quite enjoyable. We knew what we wanted and planned accordingly in advance.

Our friends have given us many compliments. We are in our happy place. We have a pretty house. Thank you! And also, those house keys are so distinguishable from other house keys. What an idea!

Everything was just so easy. Everyone we worked with was wonderful, nice and answered the 100 questions we had about this whole process.

Communication - I think this is the best thing I could point out about Tilson. The communication between the Boerne team and especially Kyle Kirk, our builder, was amazing. Kyle would drop everything to answer questions or meet us at the house for whatever reason. That was so much appreciated.
