He was completely unwilling to provide a detailed estimate required by my insurance company and simply refused to work with insurance even with me acting as an intermediary. The crew damaged the gutters to such an extent they could not be reinstalled, then I was told they were old and needed replaced anyway. (They were 3 years old). Promised numerous times to haul damaged gutters, then never followed through despite many follow up calls and texts.

Sales from a "no pressure" approach, all steps explained, as well as product in great detail and was able to answer all my questions. I knew exactly what I was getting and wasn't disappointed!

I got 9 other quotes for my project. I received good information and work from Smart Roofing.

I highly recommend Smart Roofing Inc (SRI). Compared to other roof contractors that I called to give me quotes, Project Manager Isaac came in with his laptop and showed me their license, proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance. He had the Description Form/Scope of Work Estimate that has the list of re-roofing procedures from tear-off, replacement of all rotten wood included in the quote, to using a better underlayment, to installation of the shingles. SRI gives 10-year warranty on installation and is also a Platinum Preferred Contractor of Owens Corning, the manufacturer of the shingles that I want (which gives 50-year warranty). SRI also pulled the city permit and made sure the work passed final inspection before they picked up the final payment. Crew were professional. Melissa, the office contact person has a very nice personality and sent me all needed forms promptly including the invoice that showed my payment detail. The last e-mail was Owens warranty registration. Very organized. I am impressed with how smoothly the work got done!!!!!

Smart Roofing was great. Isaac, the project manager, bid the job and set everything up, including arranging to have our solar panels removed and reinstalled. Work started and ended when it was supposed to, Isaac was quick to respond to all texts we sent, and the workers were respectful of the property, cleaning up after every work day.
