The shower doors are not at all acceptable. The right end does not open, it's attached to the wall. Our original doors opened on the left and right side. And neither door has towel bars -- which we had on our original doors. We were never told about that. No one showed us what the doors would look like -- no pictures, no descriptions. For a $20,000 job we are very dissatisfied.
We want the shower doors replaced.
Answered questions, did a great job and cleaned up all construction debris afterwards.
Quality of service especially after installation
The reason I will not recommend the company is due to the fact I had made a call to the salesman I would be paying cash upon completion of the job. Approximately two plus weeks the job was completed and I wrote a check for the total amount. Approximately a week later my wife received a phone call asking if they could shred the check because the finance company was handling the payments. Upon calling the finance company they had not even initiated the account and I would have have wait to make the payment plus an additional 390.00 dollars for setting up the account.
You have indicated that Kohler will be issuing me a check for the difference., however I feel that your company should have dealt with the finance company instead of me. This is the 16th of November and the job was finished on the 29th of October and I have not received anything from the finance company.
The installers had to come out 7 times before the installation was done correctly. The first day the lead didn't show up, although the plumber and assistant did and waited for several hours. The lead kept saying he was on his way and would arrive "in 10 minutes." The next day it was a similar situation. The lead arrived a couple of hours late and the crew began the demolition. Then the lead went out to his truck and passed out. The demolition was completed so the following day a crew came and set the pan, then left. The following day the installation was "completed." The next day I went to use the shower. Unfortunately there was a leak behind the tub spout, which resulted in a flooded bathroom floor. I also noticed that the caulk around the pan was very yellow. On day 6 the plumber repaired the leak, but noticed that the tub spout and drain cover finish did not match the shower head finish. My husband died, so it was several days before someone came out to replace the tub spout and silicone. Once again, the replacement drain cover did not match the chrome finish. Unfortunately, it leaked again...which meant I was unable to shower again because this was the only accessible shower after my hip replacement 3 weeks earlier. The plumber fixed the leak on the 7th trip. My husband and I installed the tub ourselves 15 years ago. Including doing all the framing, plumbing and tile it only took us 2 days - which is what I was quoted for this shower installation. Other than the one guy who was repeatedly late, the crew members were polite and personable. But the delays were unacceptable, especially for what I paid.
Were told cost was "best they could do" - but I found out from the crew there was a $2k back promo not offered to us. Why not have a "REAL" price and charge it? $18K is a lot of money - and not really commeasurate w/what we got.
Were told it would be done in 2 days. It took 3 days to install, were told to wait another day to let caulk cure; on day 5 when I turned on the faucet...no water!
Follow through on what you tell customers. Don’t make promises that you don’t keep like the sales woman saying she was going to gift us a cleaner for the tub and the installer person saying they scheduled a follow up visit and no one came.
Job is not finished, issues with the frame being scratched and waiting for new replacements to arrive so team can come and replace the parts. Issue with quarter round not put in where base board was removed. Missing washer in the shower head, water sprayed out of connection, this was put in so the shower fixture is working correctly now. The shower piece was also blocking the lever to turn the hot water to the hottest, I had to adjust that myself. Very expensive two day job that was installed on November 3rd and 4th and still needing to be finished as of November 15th.
The team was amazing and very respectful of our home
All aspects of the experience were good. The only reason the rating is not a 10 is the high cost.
I feel that a plumber should accompany the salesman during the initial inspection at the client’s house when the cost quote paperwork is signed-especially when the client has a house over 75 years old. Despite this, and a few hiccups hooking up to the existing pipes along the way, the workers did great on the remodel job on my mother’s new shower. It was expensive, but the bathroom was all done in the 2 to 3 days as quoted.
I would recommend Renuity and tell them it cost a lot. Save up your Money!!
The contractors very friendly showed me what they were doing every step of the way. Very very respectful
no comment.
Great service
The 2-day installation time
Not much.
I would make sure they did not want the tile look anymore, once you change it is cost prohibitive to go back.
