After obtaining several quotes form other companies I was not happy with the information and knowledge of those companies. One felt like a snake oil salesman, the other was just doing a job and later I found the company was known as a 'rebate chaser',then we met Melvin form RED group. He showed up in an electric car, app on his phone showing us his homes production, and then contacting his partner who lives near by to see if he would mind us running by and seeing his home and it's set up. He has done everything for us in regards to paper work and filing and meeting all times lines. I have forwarded emails from Duke and he has told what they mean or if I needed to do anything. I am extremely happy with RedGroup, they just finished installing an 11.025kW system for me. I had requested quotes from 3 different companies. RedGroup was the most upfront about the actual costs. In the end RedGroup was also the lowest price and offered an excellent warranty to go with it. I found that Jeff was very easy to talk to and I never felt like I was dealing with a salesman. I discussed different panel options, inverter options, panel installation options, and conduit run options. I would absolutely recommend RedGroup to anyone interested in solar.

Very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We had 3 companies come to the house, and this company did the best job of aligning the first estimate of the project with the on-site assessment. The other 2 companies said they could do something which they, after site inspection, said that they couldn't do. The other 2 companies also promised only 1/2 to 2/3 of the power generation that this company promised.

Solar energy is a long term investment in your home and you want to make sure it's done well and correctly. Renewable Energy Design Group is a hands-on company staffed by people who believe in their craft. They will happily geek out over kilowatt hours and shade factor, but when they're finished, your roof will be powering your home (and maybe even your car). When I was shopping around for Solar companies in the NC area I came across 4 and out of the 4 Renewable Energy were the first to contact me, schedule an estimate, and supplied a final quote the following day. The other 3 did not contact me until days and/or weeks later. The others did not show any interests in my business due to lack of communication. Adam was the staff that came out to evaluate, educate, answer question, and go over in details the report of their proposed system for my energy usage. Adam was always available when I called or text (even on weekends). I was VERY impressed on how Renewal Energy walked me through the process from purchasing, installation, going live, and receiving my Duke Rebate and Tax break. They took care of all the technical paperwork that was needed for Duke Energy and their rebate. The installers were punctual on their start time, where very friendly, informative and did not leave any mess once they were done. The only part that took about 2 weeks was for Duke to come out and switch out my meter in which Renewable Energy has no control over. I must say that this company is very professional and appreciated my business. I plan to use them again once I'm ready to invest in a Battery Bank (I was very impress Adam told me to wait as a better quality Batteries are coming out soon that test indicate are very reliable). I would recommend Renewable Energy to anyone interested in Solar energy that are very professional, informative and looks out for your best interest.

Excellent experience going thru the initial sale process (REDG was very professional and knowledgeable and responsive but not pushy); as an inexperienced buyer of Solar, I appreciated their coaching and patience and the detailed information they provided. The installation process was similarly excellent (everything worked exactly as they described it would) and while we have just started operations (so too early to tell results) I am confident we will yield the economic and environmental benefits anticipated.

The installers were great to work with, explained exactly what they were doing when I had questions.
