It is almost impossible to get someone to update insurance in a timely manner. I usually have to call many times or send an email to a supervisor before someone will call back. Nobody ever returns voicemails left.

The renewal process was not fun, I would talk to my rep but they were to busy and passed me off to someone else and did not communicate what i needed so i had to re explain it over to the new person, it took several weeks to get any response back and I will be shopping for a new agency to do my insurance next year.
I used a Reese Nichols realtor when I bought my home two years ago, and was assigned a Reese Nichols insurance agent. He talked a lot and was pushy, and I shared feedback that I wasn’t happy.
Apparently, I was assigned a new agent, but I don’t remember that being communicated to me. I found out when I looked at my insurance documents online. This was fine with me because I had planned on changing insurance agencies.
So I reached out with questions and initially had great communication from the service team member. She called me back twice in the same day to answer questions that she had to research for me and made my requested changes.
After I thoroughly reviewed one of the coverages I had requested, I emailed her back asking her to remove it. Her communication was slow, and she didn’t provide me with confirmation of the change reversal until I reached out days later to ask if it had been done. Her response was short, not even a full sentence. I felt like she was irritated that I changed my mind.
It seems like both times I’ve worked with an individual at Reese Nichols insurance there have been blips. It hasn’t been outstanding or wonderful - just average. I don’t think I would recommend them to others for that reason.

Teach your clients how to communicate with you. I have had to beg to be heard with countless unreturned phone calls. I finally found an email adressâ¦. And received two responses. Ine response seemed to be useless information and when asked the same email was resent. No help in understanding. There are so many names to this insurance as well that I have no idea if Iâm taking to the person who can answer my question or not. I have often doubted the worth of the savings I made the switch for. I miss having an agent to talk to. A sixty second phone call is all it would take. I miss old world business.

I would like to see better follow through on requests when I call or email. Many times I have waited days and then had to persist and contact again. I don't need immediate answer, or emails back in 1 hour or anything generally, but I don't feel I should have to contact again after 2-3 days have passed.

I realize it's common today to deal with business through email, texting, etc. And it's also common today that no one immediately answers the phone. You have to leave a message and hopefully someone will get back to you fairly soon. But I guess I'm old school. I like to know I can call and talk directly to my agent or his assistant or somebody that can help me with an issue. I have my insurance through Travelers and have called them directly several times to get questions answered in a timely manner. Fortunately they were always able to help me. But my feeling is that's what my agent is for.

The low cost
Salesperson was not forthcoming with all of the details up front. Was learning little "gotcha's" periodically after signing up. Will likely get an unknown price increase at first renewal because salesperson signed me up for a discount I don't qualify for that will come off.
Auto insurance prices I am paying are double the quotes I am receiving from other company's. Home owners is $500 less a year. Anytime try to call everyone is busy or takes hours or days for call back.

I have had coverage through you for 15 years. I am about to find a new server. Dealing with an out of state person who cannot get my information transferred effectively after I have been with you for this long is ridiculous. I had an independent agent in the family for 40 years and know how business should go. I insured cars for 3 kids, myself and wife, home in town and at the lake with a boat. It was seamless. Cyndi McDonald was great. This is terrible. My mortgage company still has not received the declaration page. Iâm about to contact the MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE. I had better not be double billed.

Difficult to connect with a human. My initial contact from your company was an email informing me that my homeowners policy was canceled. In a huge font. ð The issue was mistakes made by the mortgage company. This is not how customer service should work. I will research other home and auto insurers.
