1- lack of transparency with the bank, asked repeatedly to be copied on all correspondence with United, they refuse.
2- have a teaser price like $120 sqft. However changes costs 3-4 times what the should. This is called buying work to lock in, then gouging for profit on any little change.
3- Custom homes but you can can’t ask for Delta fixtures….

Too many items not completed to a satisfactory level. Also, too many items left unrepaired that were mentioned and then planned to be repaired that never occurred.
They were so easy to work with. The process was super straightforward and went smoothly.
The Florence Red Door Homes team that worked on my build was great . They treated me great from the initial inquiry about the prospect of building a home all the way through the completed build. I would absolutely recommend this team for a dream home build. Everyone that I consulted with from the Florence office was great Nicole, Kim , Samantha, Preston and Michael were very helpful and knowledgeable about the process of building a home for a first timer like me. I like the Novi App that allows me to communicate with red door agents. The process was very smooth and everyone answered any questions that I had.
So far we have loved the process! So many people have told us that building a home is very stressful and they're not wrong. But the staff at Red Door have made it fun! Their excitement for us has been the fuel we've needed to keep going when it gets stressful.
I would only recommend to someone who is interested in the least expensive home possible. There are not enough customization options.
Build was easy. Built alot faster than estimated. Kaleb was excellent. Was surprised to be handed the keys, was not informed of that in advance.

This experience, from the first time walking through the door at the Raeford Office, till the start of construction has been very painless and easy. Everything has been explained to us in detail. All suggestions, recommendations were explained. I will not only recommend in the future, but have recommended already to everyone that I speak to.
You should make sure land septic permits are in place before pressing people to get approved.
I wish we would have collaborated a little more with the finished products and understood them. I wish we had seen an existing home in place and not just a mockup in the office. You need to see the whole house finished. I would have definitely changed some things. Collaboration and coordination were not quite there.

The process has been great and not overwhelming and we are really impressed with the people.
Brian and Kallie and Molly have been amazing and competent and professional throughout the process. One other team member may be a bit overwhelmed - constant mistakes costing time and challenges, from sending the surveyor out with the wrong home model specified to quoting the home with options I did not select or agree to (perhaps left over from a previous client?) To getting the plans back only to learn that the home was not in compliance with required setbacks communicated repeatedly in calls and in writing, this one team member was consistently overwhelmed to the point of missing important details in the process. Everyone else at Red Door did an incredible job, but I felt that I couldn't relax for a moment or trust the process to go right without constantly checking their work. Hopefully the large spike in demand will enable onboarding of more staff to get this one team member's workload back to a more manageable level where she can give each project the attention needed to avoid these issues. Everything else has been amazing!
