The team is amazing.
Samantha and Kim were great at the color selection meeting.
Easy process from the beginning with lots of patience.
The process has been great and not overwhelming and we are really impressed with the people.
Brian and Kallie and Molly have been amazing and competent and professional throughout the process. One other team member may be a bit overwhelmed - constant mistakes costing time and challenges, from sending the surveyor out with the wrong home model specified to quoting the home with options I did not select or agree to (perhaps left over from a previous client?) To getting the plans back only to learn that the home was not in compliance with required setbacks communicated repeatedly in calls and in writing, this one team member was consistently overwhelmed to the point of missing important details in the process. Everyone else at Red Door did an incredible job, but I felt that I couldn't relax for a moment or trust the process to go right without constantly checking their work. Hopefully the large spike in demand will enable onboarding of more staff to get this one team member's workload back to a more manageable level where she can give each project the attention needed to avoid these issues. Everything else has been amazing!
Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. My dream home consultant has worked tirelessly to assist me in building the house of my dreams.
The process was smooth because the members of the team worked well together, and were knowledgeable and professional.
So far the process has been smooth! I have really enjoyed working with the sales team, the contractors and the design consultant.
Additional Communication - We just want this process to move forward we have been working with red door for months and have just been stagnant. Every is either on vacation or doesn’t answer our calls. Our sales rep actually told us that she had been hanging up on my phone calls assuming I was spam for over a week. Pretty annoyed.
Very knowledgeable about things, if they didn't know they found out from the correct person. Very patient, great customer service. Answers back quickly
There are questions about allowances and how they are used for unexpected needs vs updated requests from us. We’re uncertain about how purchases can be made with allowances by RED DOOR for “money we don’t have in hand yet”, but we don’t have a say so for simple request prior to construction….. Our builder is in constant contact and responds w/in 24 hours (Walker). When friends asks questions there are still multiple steps we are uncertain about.
Had some initial issues with Consultant. Poor communication on some staffs part.
I don't want them to think that the experience wasn't good, but I just haven't had much experience with them. Stephanie Hill in design was nice to work with. Corey, the dream home consultant, I haven't really talked with, but I am good with the process. I am used to rating things after the work has been completed. However, two of my cousins recommended Red Door Homes, and I don't think they would recommend someone that wasn't good.
Spencer and Jeff broke everything down and explained it in easy details. Thy answered all my questions and clarified a couple of issues I had.
Yes we feel we got a quality home and great value for our money
Had a great experience from start to finish!
1. Safety Feature Suggestion (Screen Door):
I strongly recommend that Red Door include a front screen or storm door as a standard option or include it in a basic safety package. In my opinion, a screen door is a necessary, standard safety feature that provides an essential layer of protection and distance when interacting with strangers or solicitors at the front entrance. I believe this should be readily available for all builds.
2. Option Pricing and Affordability:
I was significantly disappointed by the pricing of customization options. Specifically, I requested adding a stone base column to the front porch to visually complement the stone veneer water table. I was quoted an additional $1,645.
This price point felt excessive for a relatively simple architectural accent. When every minor feature is itemized at a high cost, the affordability advantage of the base home quickly erodes, making simple aesthetic additions prohibitively expensive for budget-conscious buyers. I urge Red Door to review the pricing structure for minor, yet impactful, upgrades like stone columns to remain competitive.
Samantha and Logan were very helpful. Samantha was more than helpful and very patient with us through the process. Logan helped us in the beginning which made us feel comfortable with our decision to build our dream home. It was a pleasure working with them both.
Loved the ability to customize the plans. Liked the responsiveness to our questions
We have been working with Red Door since May (it's now November), they have been unbelievably diligent, patient, flexible, and responsive as our plan for our property has evolved. We haven't broken ground yet (we just got to the contract stage a week ago due to our own delays), but the pre-building process has been unbelievably excellent.
Everyone at Red has been sooooo helpful to me and has made this process smooth. Even when delivering bad news they did it with grace and compassion. Will definitely recommend Red Door to anyone looking to build. Kaydee, Molly, Brian, and Lee have all been absolutely WONDERFUL
Unshared information on procedures
Excellent sales and homes.
Through each step of the Dream Home process, everyone has been very professional, kind and caring. I appreciate their extensive experience and dedication to ensuring everything was completed correctly and to my satisfaction. I will always be grateful to each person involved in helping making my Dream Home a reality.
The RDH team are professional and caring. They stood by my side when we had to fight the City Zoning Commission over the back porch. Could not ask for a better team! Everyone I encountered at RDH was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend.
