We had a tremendous experience working with PBS. The new siding and front porch have transformed our house and the project was completed on schedule and on budget with no headaches whatsoever. I highly recommend PBS for its quality of work and attention to detail, including a very pleasant work crew (thank you Roy and Jimmy!) who were delightful to talk to and work with. They were friendly, respectful, very hard working, and made every attempt to make us happy.
The owners of the company with whom we worked on getting the job up and running, were great too. A very knowledgeable and personable “front person” (Jordan) sealed the deal for us on choosing PBS as our company. The general contractor (Joe) who discussed the plan and our preferences in detail, wanted to get everything right and wasn’t satisfied until we were satisfied. We did at least 3 “walk arounds” of the house, at the beginning and twice more during the course of the work, to be sure everything was going according to plan and that no detail was forgotten.
It was great as well, to have a one-stop-shop company, which oversaw all 3 pieces of the work we had done (replaced all of the siding, replaced all of the windows and trim, brought in a gutter company to replace the gutter system).
Communication was very good too. The whole project was mapped out in detail and there were no surprises. Everything was clearly spelled out.
In the one case where we disagreed on a charge, Joe went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied in the end.
Our experience with this company was very positive. We would hire PBS in a minute were we to have more work done in the future.

PBS worked with us (VESTA Modular) on the Holderness Schools Dormitory (Caeli Hall) over Spring 2022 and delivered an awesome, quality project. I could not let the experience with Professional Building Services go without recognition. Our house has James Hardie siding, but the trim was wood, We saw a few areas that were showing signs of rot that concerned us, since we did not know what the condition of the plywood or house wrap behind the siding. Based on my research of James Hardie authorized dealers, I reached out to Professional Building Services (PBS) and from my initial conversation with Jordan via phone and later to review the project with Jordan and Joe on the property, I knew that we made the right decision. The professionalism from initial contact to the extremely detailed proposal, then the on-site pre-construction meeting where they thoroughly reviewed the work to be performed and right through completion of the project, PBS demonstrated that they are truly second to none. From building a home to the many renovation projects to our properties, we have never received the level of service from a company as we did with PBS. Jordan and Joe were exceptional to work with.

There was an interesting part of the project that needs mentioning. The project required repairs to the chimney that is at least 25 feet high. I ended up having to travel the day PBS was working on this part of the project and I was concerned about what would be found and need to be repaired. Without asking, I actually received pictures from Joe of the issue they found, with a note of what repairs were required and then pictures after completing the fixes before the James Hardie siding was installed. This attention to detail provides customers the assurance that the work was completed properly and also demonstrates that PBS is so confident in their work that they have no issue showing the actual repairs in progress.

There isn't enough room in this review for the accolades that PBS deserves, but if you are looking for a premier James Hardie professional or building contractor, I would highly recommend PBS. Thank you again to Jordan, Joe and the entire PBS staff for such a great experience and we look forward to working with you again in the near future.

They repaired ever so much rot, reframed a section of our basement's exterior wall and the kitchen bay window, removed a rotting balcony and replaced it with new windows, added 2 new skylights and an "eyebrow" over the front door to prevent splashback (and the rot that had resulted previously). They also tore off the old rotting deck and replaced it with a gorgeous, much larger Trex deck and stairs. PBS touched every inch of the exterior of our house, as well as part of the interior, and we could not have been happier, both with the experience of working with them and with the result of their work. Each and every crew was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. This is a company that values and believes in customer service and satisfaction, as well as the highest quality of workmanship. PBS replaced a deck that sits approx 6.5ft above ground, provided extensive lattice work and constructed an over-sized gate allowing me to place large items under the deck - the finished product exceeded my expectations. The group that did the work was courteous, friendly and efficient - would hire them again without hesitation.

All the cost of what they were going to do as well as the cost for some potential things were all given to me prior to them starting the job there was no guess work and for me that was a great thing. Great company with highly qualified fun personnel. They are on time, no excuses and stay on the job until completion. They work until dusk and are on the job at 7:00am. They work continuously without coffee breaks and only break for lunch. Materials are on time with no workers hanging around waiting. They clean up at the end of each day.Great staff at the office. Billing is always correct and detailed. Job supervisor and owner shows up unannounced during the project to converse with the homeowner for feedback.
