Our total remodel of our condo was a huge job made tougher by Covid, MI non-work orders, and supply chain disruptions. Peacock worked it out with their flex scheduling and dedication to the job.
We talk about our house renovations with friends sometimes, and we always say positive things. We like how our house is turning out. If people ask who did the work, we are happy to tell them about Peacock, but we don't go out of our way to mention or recommend absent their inquiry. We have already made positive comments about Peacock to several people.
Construction Quality - Everything turned out well in roughly the timeframe that we expected (given normal hiccups in construction -- things beyond Peacock's control). They made things beautiful. We went with Peacock again on a subsequent project that we have already started precisely because we believed they would do excellent work and handle uncertainties in the construction process well.
Organized & Professional - They are friendly and informative. They answered all of our questions and considered our space and our time.
Care/Concern - The clean-up every day was great, as was the installation of protective coverings at the start of the job.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The final products are great. We are really enjoying the use of the new bathroom, exercise room, and mudroom. All of the people we worked with were personable, willing to explain details to us, and patient with changes that we wanted to have made. In general, communication was very good: there were many subcontractors and different people working in different parts of the house, and Peacock coordinated it all smoothly -- and kept us informed about who was going to show up when, what we would need to do, etc.
There were multiple issues during renovation which resulted in long delays and unexpected costs. Most of these issues were avoidable and due to design error. In addition, customers' requests were not fully integrated into the written contract. The designer had made assumptions of what the customers wanted and when the handoff was made to the project manager, the customers' requests were lost. We believe that the project was understaffed. The project manager was pulled off the project several times, in some cases for extended periods, which ultimately contributed to the delays.
Care/Concern - Peacock was diligent about cleaning up.
I found their workmanship to be outstanding. Their workers were professional and they provided me exactly wanted in my project.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They exceeded my expectations by getting my 600-pound stove in without any problems.

Peacock and Company do quality work and the price is transparent. There are change orders that can be done by the customer. These change order prices are transparent as well. Peacock and Company stay close to the schedule and I am quite pleased with them.

Recognized Excellence - Mike Sakwa. First of all, he did all the high-quality work I've mentioned in this review. This quality of workmanship is of course by far and away the most crucial aspect of the entire project. Second, at several points in the process, he discussed issues with me (such as where to place towel bars, and did I want the 12 x 24 " tile running horizontally or vertically) to make sure that I hadn't changed my mind. Third, he not only was punctual but a few minutes early, so he'd be knocking on the door at exactly the agreed-upon starting time.
We have been using Peacock and Company for years and will continue to do so; they are very reliable!

I finally convinced my husband only to use Peacock for our home renovation projects. Trying to save money or "help out" someone starting a one-person contractor outfit led to too many unsatisfactory, messy, and incomplete jobs in our home, at least two of which will need do-overs. So, instead of saving money, we'll end up paying more than if we'd had it done it with Peacock in the first place! Working with Peacock increases our enjoyment of and adds value to our home.

While on property, we overheard employees speaking negatively about us personally while speaking to each other or their supervisors on the phone. The impression they give is that what is best for them, is more important than what is best for the homeowner. This relates to quality, financial or personnel decisions they make. For other projects that we have done around our home, we have acted as our own general contractor and paid far less for equivalent service and quality. This experience was similar/worse than those. Lights were left on when they left the job site. Water was left running when they left the job site. Dirty, metal tools were left on clean wood, unprotected floors. This company needs to know that you are watching them when they work so that they act appropriately.
