I phoned today to discuss the great increase in both my house and car insurance. Initially, all I heard was holding music. That lasted about ten seconds then a lady came on the line and announced the name of the company, which I could not understand because she spoke so fast and the phone connection was so poor. (I live in St. Louis Park.) She clarified that she was with Home Services Insurance, so I thought I had the wrong number. She clarified that Home Services owns PCG Agencies. Throughout our conversation, I had trouble understanding her because the telephone connection was so poor. She said that you use Internet phone service, or something. This was far from the personalized service that I've had over the past 35 years with your company.

Laurie Sporre is our primary agent. Recently we had a need for insurance coverage of stored belongings, short term renters' insurance and then renters' insurance when we moved into a permanent location. Laurie approached each with clear communication and efficiency. What I particularly like is how Laurie and I are able to talk in a relaxed friendly manner. We have been approached by competitors in the insurance industry claiming to be able to offer same for less - there is not a thought of going with a different agency or insurance company. Can't beat the service we are receiving through PCG.

I HAVE FILLED A CLAIM ON MY HOUSE AT 2601 KENNELLY ON 11-23-2021 THRU MY AGENT AND A INT CLAIM WAS SEND TO MY , IT WAS DONE IN A ORDERLY MANNER , WHICH WAS GOOD . IT WAS TURN INTO TO YOUIR CLAIM OFFICE AND ALL RECIVED WAS A LETTER ASKING ME TO REWRITE WHAT MY CLAIM WAS. I AM IN ARZ WHEN THE DAMAGE ON MY HOUSE AND MY AGENT REPORTED THE DAMAGE . I HAVE NOT Had any phone calls FROM THA CLAIIM OFFICE. IT HARD TO WORK THE PROBLEM, FROM 1700 MILES AWAY. ALSO THE LETTER I RECEIVED FROM YOUR COMPANY STATED THAT MY INSURANCE COULD BE CANCELL IF I HAD ONE MORE CLAIM THIS IS NOT GOOD I HAVE YOUR COMP FOR YEAR AND THIS THE THANK YOU TO ME. (NOT GOOD}. It's computer based. The whole process takes very little time, and I can take as much time to analyze their offer as I want. No high pressure, just the plain old fashioned 'offer' from them and I decide whether or not to accept their offer. Have been with them a number of years and have never been disappointed with their business model.

I like that the PCG can review a bunch of different insurance companies and policies to find the best fit and rate for my needs. Also, when I had a claim/issue with my insurance company this year was able to contact PCG to reach out to my insurance company to help get a re-inspection and then my claim was approved.

The service has really declined. Not like it used to be. The staff doesnât even remember talking to me. I used to have kind of a personal relationship with my agent. Always gave us suggestions would check to see if we need to change companies. I get the feeling something is different at the agency. Canât put my finger on it. What is going on????

Efficient and cost effective...
It's hard to know sometimes what is the result of action by PCG employees and what is AutoOwners. Overall, we have been treated very well. Sometimes I worry that I ask too many questions but I have always get a positive, upbeat response from everyone at PCG in the past year. Likewise, when Laurie had an accident because of another driver's actions and we had to file a claim against the underinsured part of our AutoOwners insurance, the person who handled it, Sue Schmitt, was very helpful and great to work with. If this was our only interactions, I'd have rated things a 10. I rated our experience a 7 for two reasons. 1. When we replaced Laurie's Malibu this fall, we ended up getting proof of insurance cards for two different cars with the same VIN--one for a 2019 car (the correct car) and one for a 2021 car. I don't know what happened along the line but I can't believe there was nothing in the system which would have caught that the same insured had two separate cars insured with the same VIN. We did get it cleared up but shouldn't have needed to do do. 2. I worked in the software business for my whole career but I can't figure out AutoOwner's online system. I get emails that say "something has been updated, check online" but nowhere is there any indication of what changed or why I got the email. I've appreciated the discount I've gotten for doing things paperless but I'm going back to paper because trying to figure things out is an unnecessary waste of my time. Certainly not PCG's fault but it colors my perception.
