We're redoing my parents roof and their chimney needs some repair work as well. Is it better to do the masonry work before or after we do the rest of the roof?

It depends on the type of window.  Is it just a glass replacement or does really need the entire sash?  Sometimes, the I.G. unit can be replaced using the same frame.
