A very will built home and the ability to customize was great, albeit a bit pricy.

The reason we went with them is that they offer so much more value to the home rather than neat picking on small items. They put a lot of customizing option in the house which is good.

Additional Comments - I am particular. My designer was particular as to colors and choices. The team of subcontractors/vendors that Massengill works with in the design process are top notch. (Each of them raves about their experience with the Massengill team. You can tell that they are not just saying it, and really mean it. They add flavor to their praise.) I was pleasantly surprised with Massengill's constant attention to detail. They just do the job correctly.

They are good quality, and I don't see any post work repairs.

Areas Of Satisfaction - There was overall cooperation throughout the entire process. We did this virtually from New York, and everything turned out beautiful.

Everyone we interacted with at Massengill Design Build throughout the process has been very professional and helpful. The quality of the construction appears to be very high quality. We have lived in our new home for over a year now and are very happy to be here. At the time of the one-year warranty follow up there were very few issues to deal with; mostly light cosmetic issues like nail pops. Practically a non-event. Ricky, the Warranty Manager and John, the Project Manager are Rock Stars! The two by six construction allows for more insulation which in turn makes for a very quiet house. During the height of construction in the nearby area, we couldn't hear construction noise until we opened our front or back door. Also, after one year, our heating and cooling costs have been much more reasonable than we expected. We've made many new friends since we've been in the neighborhood and many of them are very happy to be here too.

Great group of people to work with, we are very happy with the fit and Finnish. Great value for the cost.

I already have recommended them to my sister, and she bought a house with them as well.

In July of 2023 we celebrated our second year anniversary in our wonderful Massengill home ! I write this as a second review just in advance of the 2023 Parade of Homes event for it was in September of 2020 that we met Massengill Design Build during the Parade of Homes weekend...thank you Nikki ! In October of 2020 we signed our contract and we watched out home grow from an uncleared lot to a finished home. My wife and I felt confidence and comfort every step of the way from every person we encountered...a special thank you Mike ! We are so pleased with our home, the quality, the attention to detail and the value we believe we received far outshone every other builder or neighborhood we visited. Our journey to Massengill Design Build was over a year as we looked at almost very builder and every neighborhood in Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Angier, and Fuquay-Varina,. My advice to anyone looking to buy a home in the Raleigh area is to visit every neighborhood where a Massengill home is being built or has been built.....I truly believe you can buy a Massengill new home or a pre-owned home with confidence that in the end you will as happy as we are ! After hearing the horror stories from friends of ours that buuilt with a big box builder (600k+ plus home from Lennar) super custom high end (900k+ with Elm Street builders) and Semi custom homes (500+ with Stanley Martin) and they ALL have had issues with the build quality, commiunication or getting things fixed after the fact (most not addressed from when they were pointed out from the walk thru). We also feel bad ravin about you guys. Truly amazing experience. Thank you so much

Additional Comments - From day one, when we met with Mike, everything was exactly as advertised. Nobody let us down. Nobody did anything that was against our decision. It was exactly as advertised. Not just exactly; it was even better. I would like to emphasize that they tried to make the process as stress-free as possible. It is greatly appreciated. New construction is always stressful. it takes time effort and money. They tried to accommodate us so that it was practically stressless. We really appreciate all of them. This is a team effort. The entire team works as one.

Punchlist - All of our items were finished in time - there any have been one small item that had to be delayed due to weather but it was also taken care of very quickly and they communicated with us often regarding when it would be completed.

Value - We’ve been so impressed by the quality of our build. Little things like the yard drainage (which was excellent!) to the rounded wall corners. Everything feels solid. We love our home!

I have lived in Cary for the past 5 years. I have wanted to move here and own a Massengill home. When this opportunity came about to have a new home built I felt like a kid at Christmas. I am a 71 year old retired US Army Officer and this is my first new home from the ground up. We love the layout and attention to detail but we like most was detail with the staff especially John Spencer and Jose Hernandez. Both always there always smiling and for sure always helpful. We have only been here about 2 weeks but it feels like home. Not a new house but a new home and so relaxing for sure.
Would I recommend Massengill Desgin to my friends - Yes without hesitation and already have and to my neighbors in Cary. Can't thank the Massengill Design Build Team enough for all they do and for sure all they have done to help us get in and be Home. Thanks.....
