After my house flooded, Mark Scott construction came out the mitigate the water damage and repair the damage.Mark Scott Construction was very communicative, did a great job at the initial water mitigation, and did an amazing job on the rebuild itself. Frank (Project Manager) and Don (Superintendent) kept me up to date on any developments, clearly explained the work that needed to be done, sent regular updates and photos, and completed the rebuild quickly. I'm sure my house is in better shape than it was before the flooding. Thank you very much to Frank, Don, Hector and Sergio (for their carpentry), and everyone on the Mark Scott team for turning an awful ordeal into a manageable experience. I would definitely recommend them and will keep them in mind for any future issues I may run across (not that I'm asking for anything else to happen to my house!). Thanks so much!
Mark Scott Construction did a terrific job repairing my guest bathroom. They worked fast with detailed precision. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone in need of their services.
When they did the pack out they didn't tell me. I thought someone broke into my home and stole my things. I had 28 female disposable briefs that I didn't get back. They left my table and took the table legs. They placed things on top of the table-top, and it was thrown away. I have some clothes that are missing.
They were prompt and did a great job. I worked very well with them. They were easy to work with.
They were very dependable, and willing to work with me with any problems that came up. They were very professional.
The project took forever, substantially longer than anyone would have guessed. It was completed after two and half years.
There were delays and email miscommunication. They ended up ordering the wrong quantity which caused further delays because someone ended up buying the tile we wanted. I had to consistently reach out to the project manager. I was managing the project manager instead of him managing me. In the beginning, they disclosed we'd make all of the decisions and there would be a lot of transparency, but that didn't end up meeting my expectations.
Fantastic. Always on time. Work was professional.. Friendly. Did a great job. Great communication...!!
The work was performed on time and very competently.
They did some things I did not like. They did not call me ahead of time to tell me they were packing my clothes up. I know there was some water damage to some of them, but they did not give me the choice to get anything.
Everything they did was top-notch, and I was pleased with everything.
My name is Betty E. Christian. The employees of Mark Scott Construction gave excellent service with the repair of my downstairs project. Josh Mosley was particularly outstanding in supervising the work.
The project director was excellent. The workers were very skilled and they were easy to work with. I think they did an outstanding job.
They take too dang long.
Mark Scott Construction, Inc. - Pleasant Hill is a great solution for an all-in-one services company.
Mark Scott Construction company was a pleasure to work with through the entirety of my remodel experience. I had a water leak in my kitchen that insurance had to cover and they helped in easing my burden of the remodel, were always quick to respond to my inquiries and messages on next steps and always professional. I appreciated their personalized feedback as well which helped in the decision process of picking out kitchen items etc.
They did good work in a timely manner.
They were awesome to work with.
They are absolutely horrible. I have complained about them to Alacrity and my insurance company. It took four months for something that should take three weeks. They invaded my privacy and went through my refrigerator and stuff when they were here. They didn't finish the project properly. The manager, Frank, was completely useless. I would never recommend this company to anyone. My floors are still not even, they did a horrible job.
I was very happy with their workmanship and the quality of the work. The crew were really good people and easy to work with.
The only people I was pleased with at Mark Scott Company were the packout department. That department was 100% on task and excellent.
They don't follow what they say.
It was very comfortable working with them, they were responsive, professional and the staff is great to work with.
They did a great job. Ultimately, the property renter was very happy with the work that was done there, which makes me happy.
They did everything great, professional, and in a timely manner.
All the workers that came to my house were outstanding and very good. Edwardo, the lead installer, was a very good person and worker. The one who was in charge, Cristo, is who I would never deal with again. He is a lair and not an honest person. As far as the workmanship goes, what the guys did here was great!
They were very flexible. They did fine throughout Covid and our schedule.
I think that they are very professional but over reaching. I know it's an insurance claim, but they went next door to unit 25 and scared them. Furthermore, I got someone else to check the unit out, and they found no water leakage, water infiltration, nor water damage. Instead of having one claim on my insurance, I now have two.
Mark Scott Construction, Inc. - Pleasant Hill did a terrific job!Ours was a difficult job, and they managed all of the intricacies including our dogs and schedules, and did high quality work.
It is zero because I would not, at all, recommend them to a friend; it was an unpleasant experience that dragged forever.
The workmen were a delight. The supervision was a bad experience. Since I didn't have a big house and I wasn't the big money, they ignored me.
I want to thank Martha and the water mitigation team for always keeping me in the loop. Kristin, the adjuster that came out to explain everything was great. Now Frank has come in and done a great job. This is a very stressful situation not being in my home. They have always been patient and kind and conscientious about how I was feeling versus just getting the job done. They have a homely touch and I totally appreciate it.
About one year to complete a project that could have been done in a month (and the actual work required about 8 days). The project was never completely finished- I had to complete last phase myself (complete door casing and adjust baseboards around closet; caulk and paint baseboards). Very poor (2 out of 10) communication from project leader. At one point I assumed Mark Scott had gone out of business as they never returned my calls.I am making allowances for the fact that the job was complicated by abatement work (mold, asbestos)- but I have no issues with those subs- and by COVID pandemic.Quality of Mark Scott's work- when it actually got done- was fine. Maybe my job was too small?
I was pleased with the work and the workmen from Mark Scott. When I called. Usually I rec'd an answer promptly.
They tried to charge us for a lot of things that they didn't do. We had to go back and point out to them all the things they did not do but still charged us for.
Every employee I worked with was pleasant and professional. The workmanship, however, left a few things to be desired. I needed painters to return to clean up uneven edges and paint spots. The schedule took so much longer than I anticipated, or was even explained to me. I was told that there were too many other jobs, people were sick, and many excuses about why my phone calls weren't returned.
I am delighted with their overall performance. My project was very complex, but the project was done perfectly.
I think if I had to do it again, I would get my own contractor. I got Mark Scott through the insurance company. In the end, I was happy with how it turned it out though so he did good on that.
Do not use Mark Scott.
It took them over a year to finish the project.
I was very pleased. Mark did another few jobs for me. I was a contractor for 67 years before I retired. I was very happy, I did insurance work, I know what you have to do, and Mark did a tremendous job for us. I was very happy.
They're very thorough and just very congenial as well.
(1) Mark Scott delayed a three-week work for an additional three weeks during the holiday season. It could be delayed even more if we did not keep on calling the project manager and demanding the next steps.(2) The quality of the work were sloppy. The craftsmanship was poor in putting back doors, baseboards, and laying the new floors. No clean-ups on the floor stains even they promised to.(3) No communications from the Mark Scott project manager, general manager when there were issues with the floor they installed.
MS Construction was recommended by our insurance company to do repairs following the 2017 Wine Country Fires. The initial meeting was excellent, informative and comprehensive. THe project leader was helpful and responsive. However as the project dragged out the work became increasingly slipshod, tiles falling off within weeks of being laid, items broken but never reported, paintwork that was careless and sloppy. I wouldn't work with them again or recommend them
No
Do not publish unless you can use only my first initial and last initial instead of first name and last initial (city and state is okay).
the work is great.... its just the lag time with communication. I even asked for a quote to do our upstairs bathroom and was told, lets get this job finished first... and he never circled back. I just wanted to get a quote from MSC along with 2 other contractors.
They were excellent!
Fantastic, professional and quality work. Highly recommend.
With lots of delays I am happy with the final product and love my kitchen. Just wish the delays wouldn't have lasted 10 months
