Mark Scott Construction, Inc. - Pleasant Hill is a great solution for an all-in-one services company.
Mark Scott Construction company was a pleasure to work with through the entirety of my remodel experience. I had a water leak in my kitchen that insurance had to cover and they helped in easing my burden of the remodel, were always quick to respond to my inquiries and messages on next steps and always professional. I appreciated their personalized feedback as well which helped in the decision process of picking out kitchen items etc.
They did good work in a timely manner.
They were awesome to work with.
They are absolutely horrible. I have complained about them to Alacrity and my insurance company. It took four months for something that should take three weeks. They invaded my privacy and went through my refrigerator and stuff when they were here. They didn't finish the project properly. The manager, Frank, was completely useless. I would never recommend this company to anyone. My floors are still not even, they did a horrible job.
I was very happy with their workmanship and the quality of the work. The crew were really good people and easy to work with.
The only people I was pleased with at Mark Scott Company were the packout department. That department was 100% on task and excellent.
They don't follow what they say.
It was very comfortable working with them, they were responsive, professional and the staff is great to work with.
They did a great job. Ultimately, the property renter was very happy with the work that was done there, which makes me happy.
They did everything great, professional, and in a timely manner.
All the workers that came to my house were outstanding and very good. Edwardo, the lead installer, was a very good person and worker. The one who was in charge, Cristo, is who I would never deal with again. He is a lair and not an honest person. As far as the workmanship goes, what the guys did here was great!
They were very flexible. They did fine throughout Covid and our schedule.
I think that they are very professional but over reaching. I know it's an insurance claim, but they went next door to unit 25 and scared them. Furthermore, I got someone else to check the unit out, and they found no water leakage, water infiltration, nor water damage. Instead of having one claim on my insurance, I now have two.
Mark Scott Construction, Inc. - Pleasant Hill did a terrific job!Ours was a difficult job, and they managed all of the intricacies including our dogs and schedules, and did high quality work.
It is zero because I would not, at all, recommend them to a friend; it was an unpleasant experience that dragged forever.
The workmen were a delight. The supervision was a bad experience. Since I didn't have a big house and I wasn't the big money, they ignored me.
I want to thank Martha and the water mitigation team for always keeping me in the loop. Kristin, the adjuster that came out to explain everything was great. Now Frank has come in and done a great job. This is a very stressful situation not being in my home. They have always been patient and kind and conscientious about how I was feeling versus just getting the job done. They have a homely touch and I totally appreciate it.
About one year to complete a project that could have been done in a month (and the actual work required about 8 days). The project was never completely finished- I had to complete last phase myself (complete door casing and adjust baseboards around closet; caulk and paint baseboards). Very poor (2 out of 10) communication from project leader. At one point I assumed Mark Scott had gone out of business as they never returned my calls.I am making allowances for the fact that the job was complicated by abatement work (mold, asbestos)- but I have no issues with those subs- and by COVID pandemic.Quality of Mark Scott's work- when it actually got done- was fine. Maybe my job was too small?
I was pleased with the work and the workmen from Mark Scott. When I called. Usually I rec'd an answer promptly.
They tried to charge us for a lot of things that they didn't do. We had to go back and point out to them all the things they did not do but still charged us for.
Every employee I worked with was pleasant and professional. The workmanship, however, left a few things to be desired. I needed painters to return to clean up uneven edges and paint spots. The schedule took so much longer than I anticipated, or was even explained to me. I was told that there were too many other jobs, people were sick, and many excuses about why my phone calls weren't returned.
I am delighted with their overall performance. My project was very complex, but the project was done perfectly.
I think if I had to do it again, I would get my own contractor. I got Mark Scott through the insurance company. In the end, I was happy with how it turned it out though so he did good on that.
Do not use Mark Scott.
