We are very happy with our slider door that was installed, Good product. Install was very professionally done and looks great. However we are not happy with some of our dealings with Mad City. Here is how the initial visit went. We asked for an estimate on the install of 3 basement windows and an upstairs sliding door. The Rep measured for the door and then for the basement windows. After giving us an estimate for both we decided to go with the basement windows only since we felt the windows were a necessity and the door we had still worked fine. The Rep wrote out a contract and had us sign and pay for half the amount. We were happy with our decision.
The next day a man came to measure for basement windows. He left without saying anything to us. A few days later our Rep showed up to tell us that the basement windows need to be egress and would require extensive dirt work before they could be installed. We do not want the extra expense of dirt work and egress windows so we just wanted our money back. The Rep said that wasn’t possible since we had signed a contract. We either had to do the dirt work for the windows or get the slider we got an estimate on previously. She absolutely refused to give us a refund. She did give us a discount on the slider but that is not really what we wanted to spend our money on.
Now we have a nice new slider that we really didn’t want and still need basement windows. We don’t understand why basement windows couldn’t be replaced. Our son-in-law told us that it was permissible to replace existing windows.

Whole process went very smooth and look very nice.

The installers did a wonderful job. They were very kind and courteous. They made sure was done right. Thank you very much.

David and Austin were professional, polite, and respected my property. The gentleman actually finished earlier than expected. I am very satisfied with my new windows.

The sales representative was very helpful in helping me decide on the choices I had to make. She was clear on the costs of the project and went over the contract thoroughly. She indicated that the new shower work would probably be in January; I was pleasantly surprised to get a call that the installation had been moved up to December. The entire project was completed in one day as promised; the installer was on time, completing the installation with skill and pride. Everything was left completely clean and sparkling.

We had a very good experience with this company. I absolutely my new upgraded shower with hand rails and a fold up seat for convenience. My husband a day or two after the project was finished found a spot he thought needed some attention.

David and Austin arrived perfectly on time, were polite, and got right to work on installing my new patio door. It was expertly installed and except for my new door, I couldn’t tell they were even here.

Everything about the experience was very good. There was a point where I had misunderstood/didn't ask enough questions, but when I contacted the company they were very good to help get me the info I needed to get the process back on track.

Matt, my installer, and Sunil, a member of the post-install service team were far and away the highlights of my entire experience with Mad City. Everyone else was smarmy or a straight up a-hole.

After four hours of incredibly high pressure sales tactics from Anton, and me saying no numerous times, I caved in to get him out of my house. As part of my agreement, I was promised my entire subfloor in the bathroom would be repaired even "down to the joists" if needed. I insisted it be written into my contract and had him include the name of his manager who approved it.

As I expected, once it was installation time, they found any and every excuse to not honor this agreement, claiming it was too vague in the contract despite Anton confirming that it was what was offered and thoroughly discussed during his sales pitch. They then resorted to using scare tactics, like threatening to leave me without a toilet in my *only* bathroom and then reporting me to the city, to avoid what the pushy salesman guaranteed me. It took numerous calls from myself, our installer, my sister *and* my father to Bath Field Manager Dan Sorrells, and Operations Manager Robert Never-Provided-A-Last Name before they agreed to do part of the subfloor work.

Overall, my tub is beautiful and I'm glad I had the project done. My biggest recommendation here is to get everything promised to you by sales written down IN DETAIL before agreeing to anything. And make sure they actually get permits.
