I would recommend them to a friend because of their quality work.
They are very professional, always kept me in the loop and let me know the steps in the process. I was very satisfied with the whole thing.
Lousy Workmanship. Left Nails in Driveway and Lawn. Messed up Siding. Vents were not placed on Vent Holes. Project Manager Michael Karberg leaves work of finishing issue of siding to someone named Brag Rogan who leaves message once but does not respond back to the follow-up messages left on his Cell Phone.
The process was very smooth.
They did an outstanding job from start to finish.
I TEXTED CHRIS ON SATURDAY AUG. 2ND AT10:34 AM ASKING " WHEN WILL LEGACY BE SCHEDULING MY GUTTER REPLACEMENT? CHRIS GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE JOB ON JUNE 5th, 2025 FOR $3,999.70 ON 8-9-2025 I SENT HIM AN E-MAIL "Chris, do you know what the install date will be for my gutters & downspouts? TODAY IT IS SEPT. 16th 2025 AND HAVE YET TO HEAR ANYTHING BACK FROM HIM AT ALL?? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS?
Installation crew stole my ladder and broom. I never received a check for replacement. Its been about 3 months and the check amount won't even cover the cost to replace the items.
I have already recommended Legacy to family and friends,
The organization and process went smoothly . Loved that there is a person who is in charge in every different project .
Lack of regular updates. Ignored calls and messages. Left loose flashing for last - exposed wood. Stuck with cloth nailed over siding that was removed (to try to match but we did not seek siding claim but were told to pursue).
I would recommend Legacy Restoration to a friend, as everyone on the team was exceptional.
My experience was that they were very thorough in their planning on the work they did on my home. They kept in contact with me during the process of getting the materials and followed through when doing the work.
Overall experience wasn't up to reasonable standards of customer service.
I was first contacted by Legacy thru a door to door sales person. They did an initial inspection of my roof and told me that there was defnitely storm damage that would get worse if not addressed. I agreed to file an insurance claim. the insurance adjuster and the specialist from Legacy came out to inspect. At this time the specialist from Legacy told me that there was no damage to my roof. That right there was a red flag to me that the sales people they were sending out would say just about anything to get you to file a claim. The insurance did approve new gutters though, so I moved forward with that project. They also approved some smaller items, such as vinyl trim around my garage door. Since my project was no longer as big as Legacy hoped, I feel that Legacy did not make me a priority. They said they could do my gutters, but had no interest in the other work, such as the garage door, since that was done by a separate team and the scope was just not large enough. Fair enough - though since they pushed me to file the insurance claim I do feel like they should have been willing to complete all of the work approved by insurance. But we did move forward with just the gutters. It took a very long time to get the work done - 8 months. I signed the contract on 8/6/2024. 8/21/24 gutters were installed, but the gutter guards were not. When we asked, the crew had no idea we had ordered them. Also, the wrong size gutters were installed, so the crew had to come back out and tear down all of the gutters they installed and put up the right size. They still didn't have the gutter guards so we were told they would need to come back. then we heard nothing until December 2024. A crew from Minnesota who was helping out (I believe his name was Austin) came to take some measurements. At that time I told him about some issues we had with the gutter installation. He said he noted it. two days later he called to tell me the gutter guards were special order and would not be in before his team headed back to Minnesota, but that someone else would be in contact. he also told me there was a section of gutter that was damaged and needed to be replaced, which he said he had noted. We heard nothing again until 2/28/25. A message from Julio that they had found proper gutter guards, would need 2 weeks lead time, and would call again when they were in. I called him back to discuss the other issues and he said there were no notes and he was not aware. I heard nothing after that until 3/19/2025 when I received a call from Matt. He said (again) that they found the correct covers, ordered, and would be approx 2 weeks. On 3/31/25 got a call from Josh that the covers were in, and crew would be out on 4/3/25. I spoke with Matt on 4/1/25, before the crew came out, to discuss my other issues. He acknowledged there were no notes on my project, but added my issues so that the crew could address before the covers were installed. He also said he would talk to the production manager (Paul Bisuaro). Matt did call me back after speaking to Paul, and assured me that my issues would be addressed. On 4/3/25 the crew came out, were here from 7am until noon. I walked around the property with one of the men and pointed out the issues. I did not watch them all day to confirm they were addressed, but I have not had issues since. They said they were not able to find the section that Austin indicated needed to be replaced, but Matt said if something does turn up later I am still covered by the lifetime warranty. On 4/9/25 I received another call from Matt to makes sure I was happy with the work, and I confirmed I was, and I paid the remaining balance due.
Once work started it was quick but the color of gutters was wrong so there was a delay
We have heated gutter cables and we repeatedly called to complain about reinstalling the cables correctly
To this day it is a mess
Why send someone who has no idea how to reinstall cables
Sorry but not likely to recommend
Legacy Restoration was great to work with.
Legacy exceeded expectations. The whole team is outstanding.
Everyone I dealt with was prompt with responses to my questions, returned phone calls/ text message within a reasonable amount of time and was knowledgeable about procedures and products. Workmen were prompt, polite and cleaned the workspace each time they came.
Our sales rep was Mike Karberg. Very personable. Very knowledgeable.
The team was great - but the process took a very long time.
The people themselves
Honestly
Legacy Restoration has not completed the work. I have been waiting several months for them to return.
The day of the installation was hard because I wasn't home, but I couldn't tell them where the vent should go in my bathroom. They put it where an old vent was instead of putting it above my bathroom. The guys didn't speak English in the beginning. The foreman showed up later and the work was already done.
Every detail was giving to me in writing. I was giving updates every step of the way. The work was always inspected and I was asked of any issues.
I have already made several recommendations and will continue to do so.
Their communication for the most part was very good. They came when they said they would and notified me if there was any delay. Both screws that worked on my house were very professional cleaned up well work efficiently.
If you are looking for a company that is courteous, professional and not pushy on their sales, I would recommend Legacy Restoration.
It took over 3 years to complete the job, many mistakes were made in measuring, installing, communication, etc.
They did a wonderful job. Their team and follow through was great. The roof looks excellent.
They took too long without timely explanations. Didn’t receive referral payment.
Roof itself was fine it was the gutters that caused the most problems
We liked being informed every step of the way. They were friendly and more than willing to answer all our questions. They did an excellent job of replacing our damaged roof.
The communication was great
They did a great job.
I would not tell anybody about them; they did a bad job on the work.
They were great. They were helpful, timely, they always got back to me and answered questions, and they were fast. They helped with the insurance and coordinated everything. I was happy with them. I got it paid for, and they helped with that as far as payment. It was an extensive report.
When the gentleman came to my house to survey it to see if I had any damage, I never thought it was going to happen. He made it happen, and I am very happy about that.
Would not recommend them.
Everything went very well with Legacy Restoration (Illinois).
Legacy helped get my claim handled throughout the process.
It was a complete scam. I was told in the face-to-face meeting what the price would be, but after hearing nothing from them for months and paying what they said I owed, they tried to come after me for $2900 more dollars. They were tough to get a hold of, and they did not call back. The roofer that did the job failed to recognize the lack of venting on the roof and the possible mold on the plywood. It was very disappointing, and I felt completely betrayed by this company.
The project started rough, but it ended fine.
It took awhile to redo the garage roof. They were waiting to get the siding for the house as well. The insurance caused a delay, and it was months before my roof was done.
I found my contact with Legacy Restoration to be very pleasurable. Their representatives were all very helpful, knowledgeable and very courteous. I would definitely recommend Legacy Restoration to a friend.
Process was simple and Legacy explained everything step by step. I’m a first time homebuyer and I was initially nervous about the process and how I would do everything and it was easy from the start either way Legacy’s process.
Legacy provided good communication, accurate bill date and once the work started, it continued until completion
I had to chase the documents for a while, it took about 2 or 3 months to get the warranty. I was told the warranty is for 50 years, but it is only for 10 years.
I did recommend already to my dad who had his roof done as well. I didn't receive the 250 dollar recommendation fee though!
My experience was an 18 month nightmare for simple storm damage siding replacement. The insurance company needed a siding sample which was taken. After over 4 months of checking on progress (Legacy blamed delays on insurance company) it was found that the sample was left sitting on a desk at Legacy. Once insurance got it there was some back and forth waiting for complete quotes. While following up on those was informed that my project manager was no longer with the company. So we start over with a new person. The job finally gets scheduled 14 months after starting the process. The work is ok but scaffolds destroyed my landscaping. Then the work failed the city inspection. The new PM did mot understand the requirement to waterproof the light fixtures. There was no movement on fixing the issues until I refused to pay the final bill. I got weekly emails about the bill which I answered that I would not pay until inspection was approved. Corporate got involved due to outstanding balance and finally 10 weeks later the work was completed. I only went with them because 2 family members recommended them but this was a terrible experience.
Still waiting for a check on the sky light air leaks and broken globe when repairing roof.
