I was told they had a certain type of window. That’s the ONLY reason I opted to spend money to replace a relatively new window. That’s was not installed. When I called to ask about it, I was told no we don’t have that type of window. I asked how are we going to fix this and Brian said “I don’t understand what the problem is.” I stopped arguing because he made me feel like a moron. I will be residing my house in the next 5 years and was excited to use this company to do it. The installers were so amazing. It felt like family there to help. They were kind and amazing. After my conversation with Brian, I will never use this company again. NOTHING was resolved. I just stopped fighting and chose to cut my losses with getting any sort of compensation or at the very least- an apology.
I had to have a special floor pan designed for my house because of the way it was built. It uses 4×6 trusses to support the floor, and they cut a four-inch chunk out of one. The whole reason we had to have a center pan was to avoid doing that, so the communication between the work order and the installer was zero. I had to buy a $300 floor jack to fix that beam, so my house doesn't fall.
A 4×6 with a four-inch cut in it, is a 2×4; that is all you are left, so they destroyed the structure under my house. If I didn't have to go under the house for another reason, I would not have even known. I paid extra to have a pan made, special, for that room, so that was a little nuts.
They don't make a single piece wall as big as I needed, so we needed to add another wall to take up a small a space — seven inches; that was my thing to get done. However, apparently the project manager was on FMLA having a child, and when he came back, he was in a big hurry to get caught up, so it didn't give me anytime to finish preparing the room. The installed the shower in a room with no plaster on the walls and no floor, which meant all the other work had to be worked around a brand-new shower without damaging anything. It was a $25K shower; they could have given me a little more time to prep the room or a little more warning, but I got two weeks and only because I begged for an extra week.
The walls weren't finished, so it is still to bare sheetrock. Since they used bathroom caulk, I can't paint it. How do I add plaster when nothing sticks to bathroom caulk, so I can't paint it, I can't get the paster to stick — it is virtually impossible to make it correct.
If they had waited another week, it would have been plaster on the walls, the caulk would have been done by them to the finished wall.
I am stuck patching up a nasty mess. I have been working on it for two months since they left. When they emailed and asked for a review, I ignored it the first two times. They finally called asking why I wouldn't do it and I told them they destroyed the structure of the bottom of my house, didn't give me time to prep the room, and brought back a guy who had only done 14 installs. That is not an experienced person, hence all the other errors. The fixtures aren't even caulked to the wall, so I am going to have to caulk the fixtures myself or the water will run into the wall.
I called them and told them I was not happy, and they never returned my call. I asked them to send me an email letting me know when they would be here to review my complaint because I have a one-year install warranty and I wanted this stuff reviewed because it is wrong.
All they want is a positive review, and if they can't have that, they don't want to talk to you.
The price was high, and although the end result looks good, the shower drainage does not work quite as advertised.
Just spell my name correctly: Karyn Ervin
The only reason I would rate them a six or seven is because I would not suggest them to anyone anyways.
I was impressed with the quality of the product offered and after the installation of the walk-in shower my wife was no longer concerned about her safety getting in and out or slipping because of the grab bars and non slip floor.
First off, I was told it was a lifetime guarantee on the siding I had. Above the windows looks like crap. One of the guys said he was going to tell them at the office and have them fix it, but nothing happened. They put the downspouts in and crimped it and it looks like crap to make it long enough to go down to the ground. The window is too small, and they had to build it up and now it does not match the two side windows.
Good Product, the end result is better that I expected. the Contractor that did the work was Top Notch, he paid attention to detail and did an impressive job putting up the siding. If I could name request him (Isack) for future projects I definitely would!!
I am not happy with their responses to phone calls.
Thorough and professional
I'd recommend them to a friend because of their wonderful workmanship, and they cleaned up well.
The project was all completed in less than 3 weeks
Better communication from management.
The speed of time from ordering to the installation was amazing.
No, I would not recommend to a friend.
They are reliable, have always been dependable and do excellent work.
It was a great experience. They did a great job. I am satisfied.
Most of the experience was good except not happy with our screens, we have just ordered a new door so will see how that goes when it comes in.
Great product and service but the price is hard to get past for most people here.
I would recommend K-Designers to anybody.
From the sales rep. Working with my budget, work was started a month ahead of the original start date which was really helpful with my work schedule, and the installers professionalism and hard work
Yes! I'd recommend K-Designers to a friend, and I'd also recommend you send the “Mario Brothers”--the two men who worked together. They did pretty good work out here, and they did an excellent job working together.
I have already recommended the company to 3 friends.
I can't complain about anything. The quality and everything is wonderful.
Quality windows with quality installation.
