I was in a bind regarding homeowners insurance and I reached out to Tammy Farmer for assistance. After gathering information for me, she kept me in the loop regarding her findings all while her father passed. She then presented me options to which I selected Mercury Insurance who now has both my auto and home insurance. Tammy was very professional at all times and a pleasure to work with. All employees should model themselves after her.

Ben thoroughly explained the reason why insurance costs have increased over the years and that it's not actually based on the appraisal amounts for the dwelling. He was very patient with me while explaining things that I was not aware of..
He also shared that there is a glass replacement coverage with my Progressive account which I currently do not have with the previous agent.

Summary: Lack of communication, errors in documents, emails without response, calls not returned... See details below.
- The policy docs where issued last minute, despite my multiple attempts to get this done sooner. I got notified by my lender that this was holding up the process. I emailed the agent who did not even respond. After he finally issued the policy, it still contained an error, and we have to request a correction again.
- The policy was changed last minute before closing, without even consulting me (the policy owner). I only found out when I saw a different amount (a small increase on the premium) on the final disclosure the day before closing.
- I got double charged for the premium; the amount was withdrawn from my account and the title company issued a check at closing. I had anticipated this situation and tried to avoid this by emailing the agent at least a week before closing, and did not get any response.
- The agent was not helpful, he did not even try to resolve the situation. Today we are 2 weeks after closing and I still don't have any status update on the situation, from the insurance company. I ended asking the title agent to put a stop on the check and issue a refund.
- The only reason I did not put 1 was because it was the lowest quote I got from the few companies I reached out to.

Nathan exceeded my expectations and was very thorough and proactive with all communication. He made this process very easy.

Both of the ladies who helped me were so friendly, patience, and very helpful! I had already spent 90 mins on the phone with a different company whom in the end could not give me what I wanted. I called them and they gave me exactly what I wanted in half of the time! 100% satisfied and covered!

Stephanie is fantastic! We had her shopping our insurance due to a large renewal increase with no claims & also had someone else shopping it and she went over and above to explain the differences in the quotes being offered and was ultimately able to re-write our policy so we could stay with our current company and have a price close to what the other person had quoted with a different insurer. She also always provides great information to educate us on filing claims, who is responsible for issues and how to avoid insurance pitfalls. She's the best!

Sales process was good, but follow-up was poor. I had to call to get policies that had been promised for a certain date. Still waiting on one.

Asked for a rv quote. Took several requests. Then it was added to my policy without my approval before I even got the quote. Took several requests to get the rv coverage removed before I was auto drafted for the added cost that was scheduled.
Got another quote for half your quote…also confirmed with your agent it was the same coverage.
Same thing happened a few months ago when I added a car. Asked for a quote. Car was added to the policy before I even found out how much it cost. Someone called later apologizing for the confusion.
However, now it happened again so very disappointing.

Tammy was on top of everything, followed up immediately on any questions, and saved me a ton of money.

My Husband and I both have our Home Owners and Car policies with this company. At one time we were told that we would
be getting a discount on our Vehicle's policy if we did not drive more than 50 miles a day. We don't drive 50 miles, a week, unless, it's for a doctor's appointment in Dallas or Richardson.

Our primary doctor is in Richardson, but, Thank God we see her but maybe twice a year.

My husband has now had to render his Driver's License to your company due to the fact that he is
no longer able to drive, due to his Glaucoma problems. I do not drive to Dallas, one of our daughters does the
driving if we need to go there.

I have questioned him on several occasions, what is the reason we don't take the time to research what opportunities are out
there! That is still being discussed.

I have a broker in CA that deals with my home and cars there. There is NO service associated with HSI. and I don't feel those I interact with have a good grasp of the market and option, etc. I would be happy to move to another broker in a second, just have had the time to do it.

Vivian gave me inaccurate information in regard to my renewal policy and due to lack of communication, all my policies were cancelled. Once I Got Kimberly Washington involved all is well. Your staff behind the scenes need to tell the truth about notices they say went out and didn’t as well as not say there is no better pricing for your coverage when there is. I’ve asked that Vivian never ever touch my files or call me again!
