Failure to Follow up on premium increase issue

In shopping for new insurance, our renewal insurance appeared to be higher in cost.

Received a notice that my policy was being dropped. An agent (not my original agent) just wrote once saying 'shopping around but not able to find anything.' I got a quote from State Farm the same day for less than what I was paying through HSI

I honestly never hear from anyone with the company unless I make the call, and then I receive an email or text message that doesn’t address my question. When I bought my home in Chapel Hill NC Kevin Heilbronner called every six months to suggest ways to reduce my cost.He responded to emails with a phone call. I realize you are a massive company, but most large companies started small, knew their clients, and their clients became the best referrals any company could ask for. I can’t refer you because I don’t know what you do for me. Another thing about a small business mentality is management knows their clients are the boss…whose the boss now?

As a new Broker with Berkshire Hathaway I both needed to switch my homeowners insurance and was interested to check out this affiliated service for clients I work with.
