They quoted a little high and we were able to talk them down on price by showing them competing offers. I don't think they gave a good offer at the beginning so there was a little mistrust. The work was good but I would advise anyone who works with them to try get the price down as low as possible.
Still working on an issue with this company
HomeFix provided a great service.
I thought everyone was professional, easy to talk to, and they answered all my questions. The installation team came on time, they were here when they said they would be, and the quality of work was excellent. I had no problems at all.
They seemed professional and friendly.
Quality Of Materials - 5--so far.
Quality Of Workmanship - I am satisfied.
Schedule - That's a tough one. We got rained out. That's one thing I'm not super happy about. We didn't have great communication for the actual installers. I anticipated that it would be postponed due to rain. The installers scheduled day got rained out, so I figured it'd be delayed until later, but after the installers showed up the next morning, I'm not sure it's a complaint. They actually did the job in poor weather. They stuck to the schedule, even though it got rained out.
Value - It's high quality materials. The workman did a good job.
Recognized Excellence - Everybody I worked with was very good.
Areas For Improvement - I can't think of anything that wasn't done that we agreed upon. I will say that at the end of it, we had a diverter on our roof that diverts rain water from spilling over onto our compressor outside. They hadn't put it back up, but when I told the work crew, they found the diverter and put it back up 20 minutes later. I don't think they planned to put it up, but we noticed that it wasn't on the roof, and in 20 minutes they put it up.
Areas Of Satisfaction - I think I had high expectations after talking to the representative, and I think they met expectations.
I do appreciate the workHomeFix Custom Remodeling did for me, but I like to deal with communication and I had bad communication with the first 2 guys. That is the only bad thing I can say. I really love the work you all do.
very likely to recommend
Great job. Well done all around!
Recognized Excellence - All of the guys were efficient, knew their job well and very friendly
Areas Of Satisfaction - All aspects
Additional Comments - Great experience. I have already had questions about your company from neighbors
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met or exceeded my expectations with the installation.
Recognized Excellence - The project leader and crew were outstanding. Very friendly and answered our questions including From our 5 year Old grandson. The sheet metal trim work was done meticulously.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The windows themselves have reduced our heating/cooling costs and provide much improved sound dampening. This was a major step in improving our home’s energy efficiency.
Next Project - Although we are done for this house, the package of services from HFCR and Solar Energy World is exactly what is needed to help combat climate change at the homeowner level. By doing most of these things, we have reduced our electricity bill by about two-thirds.
This is the third project with HCR and I came back because of past experiences. Unfortunately it was like a different company showed up this go around. I would be hesitant to refer.
The salesperson said my original door was straight, when it was not. When they came to replace my door they told me they could not do what the salesperson promised.
They did the job in a timely manner and the people that worked handled themselves in a professional manner. They kept the area clean.
The workers were wonderful. They were respectful. They were fine. It was the scheduling, and the communication that was very lacking.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The job was completed and is working well!
On time, hard working teams that completed the whole change in one day.
Communication - Well described and patient with questions, impressed with discussion and questions in an impressed way.
Quality Of Workmanship - The roofs look really nice, and have easily handled the downpour of rain we get here in Richmond.
Schedule - Thoroughly impressed with materials and crew showing up as stated. These folks know their job and do it with good cheer and politeness.
I paid a lot for the door I got. It was around $4,000. I was told that it was a very strong door and that HomeFix Custom Remodeling would change the locks to match where we come into the house. The locks do not match coming into the house. They have not come out to fix them. I could have gone to Lowe's I feel and paid $300 instead.
I was impressed with the quality of their training and reputation. I was pleased with their overall desire to excel at what they are doing.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They certainly met or exceeded my expectations with the workmanship. They left everything neat and clean. They had their own tarps and took all the trash with them. I was really impressed by talking about this project, as they do this roof ventilation. It sticks above the roofline and supposedly the heat doesn't build up in the attic. Anything that helps the heat on the third floor is an unusual selling feature. On the roofline, if you look at the house from the street, there is a ridge and they put this special thing to allow the air to circulate more.
We had a really good experience through the sale process, but once the installation started it went off the rails. It looked like there were some disagreements between the installers and the project manager.
I met a rep a health fair and set up home meeting . My home is an old bungalow and these windows needed replacing; not something I could put off any longer.
Homefix is a wonderful company. They did a fantastic job of making and installing our windows.
Everything was great!
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of HomeFix Custom Remodeling Richmond as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
