Sales person pulled a fast one on me said he would get me a payment at $150 but, changed it to 2 separate payments totaling $225. I didn't receive photos of completed work.

The communication between Home Genius and their employees was suboptimal, there were several times when one did not know what the other was talking about. They would change orders, and they were not informed of those. Communications were lacking between those employees. I had to do a lot of communication to each of the employees.

It had been scheduled to be a 1 day job, but it was a 3 day job. They also left the gutter guards a little more dented than I'd hoped, but it wasn't too bad.

When a person writes a big check they should get an immediate receipt. Still waiting for a receipt and it has been more than a week since you completed the house. Was promised a receipt, aerial pictures of the house and a warranty. Got the warranty. Was told that someone would look at one end of roof where it sticks up and that someone would remove the Christmas lights that were left dangly from the gable. Hasn't happened that I know of, I climbed up to get the lights down myself. When asked by your field guy my likeliness to recommend I might have been a little higher then because the things above sounded like they were going to be taken care of.

The crew was professional with their work and communication with me from start to finish.

It was a good company, but some of our shingles on the roof are off and the siding is a bit bent and collects water at the bottom. Unsatisfied with this. I feel it was too rushed. Doesn't look brand new, just looks....better.

Reputable and generous warranty. Pricing similar to other roofing contractors local to Dayton, Ohio. A local Dayton contractor might be able to respond to follow up needs easier.

Roof/gutter replacement was not performed to the specifications in the contract… have had to return 4times in the two months for leaks and redo on specifications. Told me at least I paid extra for a 10year warranty.

I am satisfied with my roof and mostly satisfied with the roofers but not with the rest of the team I dealt with. I never met or spoke with my project manager until 2 days after the roof was completed. I had been at a yard sale 2 streets away from my home on the day of installation. She came to my house 2 or 3 times. the crew was over 7 hours late to begin and spoke with my son. She never asked to speak with me and I. not my son, paid for the roof. When she did schedule a time to meet me it was not the time I had requested. The crew ended up finishing the roof in the dark, and brown flashing was installed on my chimney. I had requested black but since they were working with flashlights that may have been the problem, All in all I wasn't impressed with the professionalism of the company.

I went to Angi to get a quote on roofing because I'd had a small roofing job that I called local companies to quote on. Only one returned my call, I guess the job was too small, but the one that did quoted a price just completely unrealistic. 15 years before I had done that roof myself and knew what it took and checked with Lowe's to get up-to-date pricing on materials. So the quote I was given was 2-3 times what it should have been. So, long story short, yes I am very likely to recommend Home Genius.

Several things that the salesman told me and the expectations we discussed did not happen. You should encourage much better communication between sales staff and installers. There appears to be none.

We did pass business cards to a couple of neighbors, but did voice our concerns about the communication. We told them we were happy with the final product.
