The salesperson, Kevin, was very thorough in his evaluation of the condition of my roof. He spent time to offer suggestions and point out deficiencies in my roof and gutters. This was after a full day of driving and visiting other perspective clients.
The roof was great, but they had some subsequent issues with the siding and damage to my landscape lights.
It was the Total package, From the salesman Grant, project manager Alex to the Installer team.
Very efficient
When I met with the sales representative (Zach Shaffer) and signed the contract, we discussed items I asked to be done (install gutter guards, re-point the chimney above the roof line, extend 3/4" PVC pipe from 2nd floor mini-split to the gutter instead of outletting it onto the new shingles) that he said HGE will do and he supposedly added them to the "Notes" in the contract. The roof installer said he never saw any "Notes" and two of these items were not done. The 3/4" PVC pipe was extended after I bought the pipe and fittings.
I have had other work done to my house and this company was one of the most professional.
The strip material covering where the home exterior merges with the roofing material gaps. I attempted to address this with the project manager and the person was discourteous and unprofessional, nothing like the sales person. The project manager stated it was fine and nothing would be done regarding water potentially seeping under the gaps. I've waited to see if the gaps would flatten, but they have not. I intend to get a representative from Owen Corning out to have a look.
The warranty is worth the cost.
They didn't do what was on the contract. And instead of coming back and doing it, offered a refund.
Answered all questions and concerns we had. Did roof in timely manner, and cleaned area nightly and results were great.
Yes
I wasn’t given a certificate that I have a new roof. I emailed multiple people twice requesting one and no one bothered to respond. Based on this, I am not likely to recommend the company to others.
DEFINITELY
Excellent planning communications including different contractor for chimney interfacing work; quality one day roofing and gutters replacement with efficient crew; effective cleanup of removed roofing debris and new materiel packaging; and clean coordination with financing source.
This is a company that goes outside and hires contractors.
I went through so much with them. It was the worst experience I have ever had in home remodeling.
They hire other outside people to do their work and don't even know their names or have information on them.
I had separate projects for the roof, siding, and gutters. I was led to believe that one person would manage the entire project; however, that was not the case.
I had several different people for each project, and that is not what I was told or led to believe. The people they hired to come out and do the work are not on Home Genius' payroll. I had their cards and names of the companies; they were not on Home Genius' payroll.
What I was offered at the sales meeting was not how my contract was written. I made it clear I needed new sheeting and that wasn't written in, which caused a nightmare. There was absolutely no value in the overpriced "roofing system".
If the opportunity arises, I will definitely recommend Home Genius Exteriors.
I wouldn't want my family/friends to deal with such unprofessional people
Just feel like we were missed by your sales person.
Elliott, my salesperson was thorough, his presentation was good and he answered our questions displaying full knowledge of the product and options based on our requests.
Darren frequently checked on the installation and was transparent with his communications concerning the project.
The staff was diligent, the work flow was consistent and precautions were taken to protect the grounds and areas surrounding the project area.
