Additional Comments - HIVEX Basements was great with pricing and being honest about everything. I have had problems with contractors before about hidden fees. Chris, the owner, and others involved were upfront on every bit of the cost and every bit of the materials. That was probably the biggest thing for me. I can't stand it when contractors don't tell you the whole story. HIVEX Basements was really good about being upfront about everything.

Our "go to guy", NATE has been super in all areas such as communication, explanation of any issues, knowledge of every trade, & creative suggestions! All the trades-people have been very diligent in their specialties as well.

Work was begun on time and has progressed as planned. The craftsmanship is excellent and the team has come up with creative ways to address "basement" issues.

I wish y'all did more than basements! This was a great first experience with home renovation. Nate and the team are knowledgeable, thorough, and well organized. There were a few unexpected things that popped up and they were taken care of swiftly. We are absolutely thrilled at how the basement turned out! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

I would highly recommend HIVEX Basements to everyone! Not only do they provide quality work, but also they are extremely easy to work.

So far we've had a mixed experience. The project is getting done much more quickly than our self-managed projects, and the planning/sales process was very impressive. But the execution has been sloppy at times, and resulted in a myriad of inconveniences for the tenants living in the upstairs unit. We haven't seen the final project yet, so I can't say whether or not we'd recommend them just yet.

They have been great to work with, communicate well and have been really accommodating.

We were very pleased with Hivex Basements. Our initial meeting with the owner put us at ease with the work to be done. He explained everything and gave us an estimate right away. They started on time, and we received updates by email explaining the next steps along the way. The questions we had were answered on a timely basis. The workmen were polite and cleaned up every day. The one thing we did not like was that the workmen left the materials behind. We are not sure if that was explained to us at the beginning or if it was in the contract somewhere. It was nice to have the extra flooring and the trim paint, but we didn't need the large container of spackle or primer paint for us to deal with. That should be explained up front, or they should remove it as part of the contract. Otherwise Hivex was great.

They were a very knowledgeable group. They were very professional, always had great communication and let me know what was going to be happening. All the crews did a great job and were very knowledgeable and open to talk about what was happening. They had great ideas and listened to any concerns I had, and offered recommendations.

I would recommend Hivex all day long.

Overall, an excellent experience. We started the project on time and finished well ahead of schedule. It helped that our project was perhaps smaller than other ones, but still we were very happy to get it finished in 4 weeks rather than the anticipated 8.
