Since the start of purchasing my home. Nothing was smooth. SO many important people came and went within the first week. Even as the home came to be finished, the manager changed form one guy to the next. Things i was mentioning weren't being implemented. during extreme storms, i would randomly show up to the house after drywall was in and all the windows were left open with rain pouring in. Very poor management in delivery, even poorer in customer service. The tree that was installed died after a few weeks of me moving in even though it kept getting watered. No other plant died, except for the tree. I brought it up and documented it. It was shrugged off the following spring i brought it up again..... they said I should've followed up with the previous guy who wasn't there anymore.
When I called about a complaint about the electric wall plug, they were great. The person who contacted me via text said he had already told me I needed to call the number on the cabinet. I did not appreciate how he talked to me.
I am not likely to recommend HistoryMaker Homes to a friend due to my overall experience. There were several areas where I felt the process and communication could have been improved. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and works on enhancing the customer experience.
The home and the build are great. Everyone was easy to work with.
At the time of inspection, we were told that HistoryMaker Homes would come make some repairs. We have an issue with the electrical outlet on the fireplace and a few doors. However, they never came back. The driveway is also stained.
They can improve scheduling and provide better information.
House was beautiful with minimum findings through our 3rd party inspector. They broke down what they fixed per the inspector and anything they didn't they let us know why. Overall would recommend it was a quick and pleasant experience.
My favorite thing is getting to make choices.
Historymaker I feel is a decent outfit, however I suggest more leadership enhancement programs and trainings should be top on the agenda especially in the Houston sector/branch.
HistoryMaker goes above to make your dreams come true.
They were so attentive and responsive to my requests pertaining to the house that I was indeed greatly satisfied and ended up referring a close family member to HistoryMaker Homes.
Post Sales Service Amazing.
It was good at first when I bought the house. The sales person was very good. Lane, the warranty person that I dealt with when there were issues, was very responsive and communicative. They changed something in the system, and you now have to call and work your own warranty, whether it be with Whirlpool or someone else. I am basically doing the work myself, but not getting paid. What is the point of the warranty, if I have to chase people down instead of having a contact person do it for me? Why outsource? They had a great warranty at first, but they went cheap to cut cost and outsourced it, and that is when the quality became poor.
This is my second house that I have had HistoryMaker Homes build, and I have had very minor issues.
Awesome service
I had a great experience with HistoryMaker Homes! The team was helpful, the process was smooth, and the house they built is beautiful. Love my new home!
The houses are easily accessible and in a separate area compared to Sienna community, and it is also well maintained.
I love my home. The construction is solid. This is a good community. I have been here for 1 year now and would buy here again .
Have already done so
Compared to other builders in the area, and even in the neighborhood we chose, HistoryMaker’s quality and value for money stood out. The customer service and communication has been exceptional.
From the beginning of looking for a home to the end on closing our home was anamazing experience. Eric our sales person at the Attwater community in Waller went above and beyond with his service
Communication is always key and HistoryMaker Homes has been incredible with communication, not only through the build process, but as well as the time after living at home for a little bit. I have never seen this much attention to detail or phenomenal customer service.
The contractor did a great job, and was very helpful.
We had a great experience with HistoryMaker Homes, their staff were friendly, professional, and provided outstanding support throughout the entire process. Purchasing a new home can be stressful and they made it an enjoyable experience.
Some of the finishing quality around the home is pretty bad
HistoryMaker Homes makes the process very simple for you. They really go over the layout of what your home entails. Their team was really helpful, and they really made the process simple even with the actual lender. The lender that they are connected with made the process super simple too.
History Makers Makes sure the home 🏡 owners are satisfied
$ mookie $
David and Andy were great all the way through the process!
Home was beautiful and on a phenomenal lot
Horrible experience! In many ways!
By Far the Best experience ive had Bryan Germany is Awesome Sauce
Homes seemed to be well built. Finding the house I wanted was a good experience
The prices are good but the workmanship on the interior of the house doesn’t look professionally done. I’m constantly finding little things that could have been done correctly if the work crew had taken a minute to do things right.
The layout of the house looks good on paper, but the odd placement of light switches, lack of bathroom storage, narrow wall openings that make getting furniture in quite difficult, the placement of the laundry room within feet of where you sleep, and windows in the living room that don’t open make the house difficult to live in.
David was so friendly and well informed. He was a pleasure to talk to anytime we had any questions.
The staff members were very friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The process was very smooth, and the sales representative was very nice. We explored some of the beautiful model homes, and after, we decided to go with HistoryMaker Homes. I felt the entire process was amazing, and watching our home being built was awesome. We have noticed many issues with our home in the first year. We have had some leaks in our home, and they had to come out to cut back patches of the lawn. They had to repaint a portion of the roof, because when it rains, the house shifts. I can see the movement of the home in the walls from the construction of the home. We called HistoryMaker Homes a lot in the first year for warranty concerns. There was a pipe that needed correcting, and the water was running into the lawn and our water bill was extremely high. They build homes quickly, and in my opinion, they could slow down to ensure better quality.
We would absolutely recommend HistoryMaker Homes to friends and family. From start to finish, the process has been smooth, transparent, and enjoyable. The quality of the homes speaks for itself, and have a sales counselor like Jaci made the experience even better. Because of both the people and the product, we would happily recommend HistoryMaker Homes to anyone looking for their next home.
I have sent an email about a warranty issue, and I have not received a response on who to get in touch with. They resolved my first warranty request, but I have received no communication on my second request that I have sent, which I find frustrating.
At first I was complaining about what I didn’t like and why they didn’t want to make some adjustments to some designs for me since I was buying a home worth over $3000k, I now think I was having a buyers remorse, because the moment I moved in all of my perception of the home changed. It’s like I couldn’t see past my complaints at the time, but I hear to say I LOVE MY HOME. Never heard of History Maker before until my realtor recommended them to me and this builder does make quality homes. I now truly and honestly appreciate my new home.Their structure and finishing is beautiful. The onlyCONS I have with this builder is to put a little bit more thiught in your design and placement. More structure within and not just a box with not turns. At least my home is one straight shot from the front to the back and provide better quality back splash and kitchen counter top. Other than that my home is beautiful. Thanks History Maker.❤️
HistoryMaker Homes was the most problem free experience we've had with any house.
I wouldn’t recommend History Maker Homes to my friends because the quality of materials used in my house has been very disappointing. Within the first month, the doorbell stopped working due to poorly exposed wiring in the attic. The flooring in my master bathroom chipped, and my driveway was left with scratches from the start. On top of that, the garage floor is uneven, making it look unfinished. Even the taps began dripping within two weeks, which shows cheap materials were used throughout.
The grading of our yard was horrible. They finally put in a French drain because we had a river running through our yard and killed our grass. It was underwater 24/7. We were told that the grass would come back, but we had to redo the whole yard with sod because it did not come back.
Zach was there to take care of the warranty items.(I believe same was construction manager 1year ago). Only thing is he was super busy to be able to get the vendors lined warranty request, up in a single week.
Hence I would recommend HMH, with good wisdom of words and trustfull notes to other buyers. Aware of the product and features in other communities put by HMH, basics of home construction are good to be able to recommend to other buyers. Overall for our community a better builder.
It is mainly the storage space that is lacking.
Yes, I would recommend HMH to a friend. In fact, I already have! However, I would like to suggest that you offer support to clients who have already moved into a neighborhood, particularly concerning issues with contractors who are building nearby homes.
HistoryMaker Homes is a much better builder than DR Horton and Lennar, but they aren't the best. We have some issues such as walls that aren't straight, our tile was laid very uneven and our breaker used to trip every time we used the oven and this wasn't resolved before closing. Other issues include cosmetics such as caulking gaps around the baseboards and lots of debris in the backyard that are resurfacing (nails and bricks). While I would recommend them over other builders, I would also advise them to check out other builders before committing. The staff is very nice though.
The whole process of building my home has been phenomenal so far! Brooke and Mike have done such a great job so far with keeping me informed with the progress of my home and answering any questions I might have. Their commitment to making sure to provide excellent customer service shows and I appreciate all of the hard work they both put in to making sure this process goes smoothly. I highly recommend History maker homes. From the time I started looking in the area to now during the building process they have been thorough and transparent which I appreciate! I also appreciate Charles Pairett; I initially started my search in midlothian but ended up finding a better fit in Waxahachie with Brooke. He is amazing and was very helpful and understanding during the process as well. I appreciate everyone from history maker in helping me find and build my second home!
Yes I would
HistoryMake Homes is an amazing company and with beautiful builds. We greatly enjoyed their services. Crystal was amazing, always available, and answered any questions we had. Everything was great and top notch. We would always recommend them.
My rating would be 5 if they put insulation on the flooring. When my kids walk around it sounds like they are stomping. To put installation in I'd have to rip the entire floor up.
