I've loved my home since I moved in. It's great, and I haven't had any problems.
Sales department needs a total overhaul. Does not know their own inventory, development or company they represent. Manager, Salicia Gregory is blatantly unprofessional and should not be allowed to talk to customers. They left the reputation of History Maker Homes as a dishonest company to work with.
I feel like there are some quality issues with the home.
I appreciated our experience from start to finish. Beginning with Harlee as being a very informative sales agent and helping us understand the process thoroughly as first time home buyers. Then, Josh was fantastic when it came to working and communicating directly with the builder. He was able to get everything completed we requested prior to close without and pushback and with great customer care.
Everyone has been great. Tommy and Mason have been very helpful.
Contractors do not keep the site tidy. No community space or green space in site plan. Electrical box locked off during inspection.
Company was open to our needs and worked with us during the process of buying and building our home.
The experience with the team was very professional pleasant and on time service.
The build quality could have been better, im experiencing several issues with the home.
By the time of this review 12/02/2025, the construction process has not been completed. I would like to offer a better review as I understand that HM, the Sales & Construction teams want to provide a top of the line purchasing and constriction experience, but given all the hiccups throughout the process so far, I would be cautious to recommend History Maker to friend.
Overall experience very disappointing
Hire better landscapers
Not crazy about the HOA…other than that enjoy the neighborhood and for now it’s quiet.
They worked with me every step of the way, provided good communication throughout, and they went out of their way with communication.
Likely the recommend History Maker Home
Great builder. Beautiful home
The process to buy was very easy and
Yes, would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
The HistoryMaker home is beautiful. Even after a year, when I had inspectors come out, they gave us top marks. There were just a couple of small fixes, and the team came out and took care of them. I’m really enjoying my new home.
I found that most of the people who I dealt with were polite but Mason was Amazing and helpful.
Yes, I already have recommended it to numerous friends.
Grace and Drew were a great team to work with; they both were available to answer all my questions in their area of expertise.
I felt that the process and final inspection were good, but after that, I felt like we weren't as important as we were when we first got the house.
It has been all good so far.
I am impressed with how Jaci helped us through the process
I would Highly recommend that if you're buying a Home 🏡 That you Strongly Shop and Buy with History Homemakers The Really do cater to your every need and desires right down to smallest things and That Bryan Germany had me hello‼️👍
Although I’m buying a completed home, I loved the additional features added to the home that made it feel special to my specific.
I see several houses on sale in the subdivision. So, I’m not sure if I should or not yet.
I did recommend HistoryMaker, they are now my neighbors 3 doors down.
It’s been a great process so far.
Harlee was really nice and attentive throughout the process!
They have a lot of adjustments they have to make to their homes to justify their prices.
History Maker’s initial build quality is “good”, but not “great”. We had many warranty issues that required resolution. 2 Broken bath tubs were installed, wrong window sizes were installed, poor drainage…amongst other issues.
I'm not sure just yet. Customer service and follow through. The Sales Agent lied to us by saying no homes/nothing would be built behind my house. They wouldn't let me out of the contract when I told them a water pumping station was being built behind the house. I think the office knew and didn't want us to know about it because we would have not bought the house.
I'm still waiting for roof and siding repairs, drive way repair/replacement, electric wall switch to be replaced and concrete cracks to be redone/repaired. The request for these warranty items was submitted over a month ago.
They treat people well!
The salesperson was good. They were very professional and very transparent. They are a quality home at a good price range. After moving in, the walkthroughs were excellent, and the repair and warranty responses were excellent, as was the overall quality of the home. I like the layout and the size of the houses as well.
I would definitely recommend HistoryM homes. Very professional, very fast to build a house, they were great.
Since the start of purchasing my home. Nothing was smooth. SO many important people came and went within the first week. Even as the home came to be finished, the manager changed form one guy to the next. Things i was mentioning weren't being implemented. during extreme storms, i would randomly show up to the house after drywall was in and all the windows were left open with rain pouring in. Very poor management in delivery, even poorer in customer service. The tree that was installed died after a few weeks of me moving in even though it kept getting watered. No other plant died, except for the tree. I brought it up and documented it. It was shrugged off the following spring i brought it up again..... they said I should've followed up with the previous guy who wasn't there anymore.
When I called about a complaint about the electric wall plug, they were great. The person who contacted me via text said he had already told me I needed to call the number on the cabinet. I did not appreciate how he talked to me.
I am not likely to recommend HistoryMaker Homes to a friend due to my overall experience. There were several areas where I felt the process and communication could have been improved. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and works on enhancing the customer experience.
The home and the build are great. Everyone was easy to work with.
At the time of inspection, we were told that HistoryMaker Homes would come make some repairs. We have an issue with the electrical outlet on the fireplace and a few doors. However, they never came back. The driveway is also stained.
They can improve scheduling and provide better information.
House was beautiful with minimum findings through our 3rd party inspector. They broke down what they fixed per the inspector and anything they didn't they let us know why. Overall would recommend it was a quick and pleasant experience.
My favorite thing is getting to make choices.
Historymaker I feel is a decent outfit, however I suggest more leadership enhancement programs and trainings should be top on the agenda especially in the Houston sector/branch.
They were so attentive and responsive to my requests pertaining to the house that I was indeed greatly satisfied and ended up referring a close family member to HistoryMaker Homes.
Post Sales Service Amazing.
It was good at first when I bought the house. The sales person was very good. Lane, the warranty person that I dealt with when there were issues, was very responsive and communicative. They changed something in the system, and you now have to call and work your own warranty, whether it be with Whirlpool or someone else. I am basically doing the work myself, but not getting paid. What is the point of the warranty, if I have to chase people down instead of having a contact person do it for me? Why outsource? They had a great warranty at first, but they went cheap to cut cost and outsourced it, and that is when the quality became poor.
This is my second house that I have had HistoryMaker Homes build, and I have had very minor issues.
