Absolutely. The work looks great.
The end result looks very nice. As time passed going through the summer the heat from the day and cool from the evening I continued to hear popping and cracking noises. Like it was expanding or shrinking. This started after the siding was put on in June, it still makes loud popping noises during the night. Also my outside faucet was never reattached to the house, it’s loose and I have to hang onto it when I turn the water on. I think I would not put H plank on my house again. I share this information when people ask me if I like it.
1. I have a detached garage, and needs finishing, I was told it was getting finished and ended not being done. 2. The contractors cut the wires on the satellite dish and threw in the garbage. 3. a window came out when taking the old siding off. 4. one side of the garage under the eves didn't get done with siding. 5. under the front door cover didn't get done.
Mistakes were made, and only fixed when I said something. Damage to two areas of house, part of the work that was promised was not done until I reported it to David.
I will not recommend this company as they did not complete the job themselves and tried to charge me any extra $5670 for lead paint removal that was not performed.
I was very impressed with how quickly they did it. They left the yard fine. I only had one problem. When they removed the siding to put the new siding on something happen with cable connections. I had no television or phones for a couple of weeks. It's not exactly their fault. The equipment and cable and everything is 35 years old.
I would not refer anyone to High Performance Homes.
They are professional, but they seem to be sales pitch heavy. They apply a bit of fear tactic and are a bit too pushy. The only reason I would recommend them is that the materials are good. They are a little on the pricey side.
Yes, I am likely to recommend them with a reminder of the problems that I had.
I love my new roof.
They were professional. I appreciated the way they managed their different jobs. They were able to problem-solve well.
I had a leak because of the gutter engineering. They made sure I would not have that leak again.
The whole experience was seamless and with great quality.
Their guy who came out and reviewed our home was very professional. He reviewed all the options with us, and explained the different between the roofing and shingle styles to us to help us make a decision. The crew was professional. They came in and worked hard all day long. They cleaned up the end of each day, and were just amazing. We were super happy with the way everything turned out. The roof looks great and we love it.
I would not trust the sales agent.
I would never recommend someone that uses high pressured sales techniques.
They left the gutter on my garage a little short, so there was an opening between the gutter and the wood. I called them back out, and they patched it, so I had to call them back. The lady I spoke with was always very helpful. She sent the crew again, and they replaced the gutter and everything is fine. When they removed the old roof, there were a lot of nails. They cleaned the best they could, but there were some nails left in the driveway. I recommend that customers inspect the driveway and check for extra nails.
I was very pleased. They were very polite. They cleaned up every day. The boss was a little upset that the job wasn't done in time because of the weather. We don't have tornado warnings very often for these areas.
I like the roof and the workmanship.
They managed to install the roof when we were in the middle of a rain tornado. We had a river of rain, and they still got it done on time.
I think I have said it all.
The materials delivery and subsequent installation went pretty much exactly as scheduled, except for a two-day weather delay on roof tearoff and re-install to avoid letting rain strike the bare plywood. As previously arranged, I ducked out of town for the portion of the work that involved blocking my driveway, but the only thing visible on my return was the freshly-reshingled roof. All debris was gone.
The crew was very professional and if there were any issues the company was very prompt in addressing them. The quality of the material used was very high. If there were any delays, I was notified in a timely manner.
Right now it will be a 2 due to those outstanding items.
They were very pleasant to work with.
This is because of the price. I would recommend them. I would also recommend they get a second bid and then talk to High Performance Homes because I think they've got room to come down and still get a superior job.
They did an excellent job.
Great workmanship, horrible office back-up.
We contracted with HPH to replace our roof. The salesperson & estimator came out by appointment. Both were on-time, pleasant, & professional. We were promised a superior job, with a superior warranty, and we received a superior job on our roof. It's a beautiful job. All edges of the roof are fully flashed, which in it's self lends a superior finished look.
The crew arrived on schedule to begin. I did a quick Walk Around with the Foreman to discuss areas of concern that I had. He was attentive and communicated the concerns to the crew (in Spanish). One minor error on the part of HPH was that the Foreman had a diagram of the area where some roofing plywood needed to be replaced. The area above the chimney WAS NOT INDICATED even though it was on the original job write-up. Consequently, the crew didn't intend replace that area of the plywood. Fortunately, I knew that area NEEDED to be replaced and specifically pointed it out to them BEFORE they covered it with the underlayment.
The job proceeded very well, and without incident. The result is a beautifully done roof. This crew was very good. They did a tear-off and a beautiful re-roof of 26 squares in one-and a half days.
Afterwards they did a pretty good clean up of the area. Not perfect, but very acceptable.
After they left I did a thorough inspection of the roof. The work was very good, but I had some minor damage to the gutters where they were throwing the tear-off material down into the dump truck. I was able to straighten the gutter well enough that you can't tell from the driveway or street, so no big deal.
Our roof job was estimated at 28 squares, even though I was sure it was 26 squares. What I didn't know is that were 10 or 11 bundles of shingles left over that my wife saw the crew toss into the dump truck as debris. That's almost 3 squares, Not real happy about that part, but the extra unused plywood WAS credited toward the final cost of the job.
All-in-all, we paid a superior price for a very superior roof that has a superior warranty that I hope we NEVER NEED TO USE. :)
I've already had a friend of a friend that thought I hired a different company. They wanted to know who I used. I told them they were better off using the previous company. I did use them at the time, but they were booked pretty tightly booked and smaller. I paid more because I wanted to deal with a company that appeared professional, like Owens Corning and High Performance Homes. I had already called Owens. It cost me almost double, even though they said they dropped the price a couple of thousands.
The installation was done in one day, they were professional and did quality work.
High Performance Homes are very bad in the area of communication. In my experience with them, they did not finish the work on time nor did they effectively communicate when the work would be completed.
See previous notes.
Lacked professionalism and communication.
I would never recommend them to anyone.
Beware of this company.
See previous notes.
The workmanship and materials were of great value. The roof replacement was done very professionally. The only issue I had was the performance of the interface with HPH.
As far as a recommendation, it feels like a bait and switch type company, they tell you how great and wonderful they are but you find out after the fact it's not true. The customer service is absolutely horrid, the walkthrough was inadequate and they want you to sign before knowing what you are signing. There were no representatives from High Performance to see the paperwork is signed and the 3rd party roofers say only get paid if the paperwork is signed off.
We should not have had to call them every day to make sure things happened the way they were supposed to.
If I'm paying for a company,y I expect that company to come to my home not 4 guys in white with only 1 guy who spoke English. I could have gone to Home Depot and paid the half price.
There was a little miscommuncaition was taken care of
We are very satisfied with the service, the installation and the product. I think we're good to go.
Stay away.
I was really with everything.
I love my new roof, it looks great! I hope that it preforms well when it starts raining again.
In general, I am very happy so far.
I have a small roof, and they completed it in one day.
They did a great job and left everything cleaner than they found it.
I not only will not recommend them, but I have told anyone that has asked to never go through their company.
The crew that did the installation was awesome. It was a painless and very easy process.
