Excelent Facility
I love our local Y. I love the people, the location, and the kid zone. My only complaint is that the group fitness classes have really been lacking lately. Body pump, combat and hot yoga are great classes. Pump is nearly impossible to get a reservation for and hot yoga is packed mat to mat. We used to have additional 9:30/9:45 pilates or barre classes to choose from but now there aren’t any alternatives. At this time of year we have 3 spaces for group fitness and I really don’t think we are utilizing them well enough. I’m not sure if it’s a lack of instructors(because it seems like we have lost so many good ones to other gyms) or for another reason but honestly considering joining fitness360 because they have more class options and instructors. Jessica, Belle, Chrissy, and Cameron are fantastic but Wilda’s classes are geriatric. I’m really hoping more classes will be added to the schedule soon!
Itis a good value
Love the pool and classes. Wish you had more spin classes.
Cancel the Wednesday "finning" class. One or two of the three lanes already occupied by the water aerobics class 6 days per week can easily be utilized for "finning" during the water aerobics sessions.
Been going here for 20 years.
Staff and other members are helpful and friendly. You are doing a great job!
Generally speaking I would recommend the Y, but am very disappointed in the lack of interest for the Pickleball group and condition of the courts and nets. It’s a shame one of our group had to sew up the gaping hole in the net that has been there for months. Requests have been made to replace the nets but fall on deaf ears.
Great place, just way too pricey when you have $10 memberships elsewhere.
Always helpful!!
I recommend signage to move people along using machines. Maybe 5 minute limit. Too many people use equipment as a chair and be on their phone.
The instructors for Body Pump are extremely talented and caring.
I participated in Project Rally beginning 1/4/2024. In early March the Y made a video of me playing pickleball. The video was played at the Y for many months. Then the local news made a video of me playing pickleball. That video was also displayed for months. I am STILL playing pickleball at the Y! That says it all. My name is Jackie Rowe and I am a proud Multiple Myeloma survivor. The only reason I am not a member of the Y is that I cannot afford the monthly fee. I am 78 years old and on a fixed income.
Great selection of classes and friendly folks
I don’t like your new fitness center equipment and it’s "one size fits all" approach, nor the way it was conceived with no input from members. I also didn’t like the wholesale changes in staff. Instead of constantly trying to grow membership perhaps you could try focusing on retention….
I think the meet and greet staff, the instructors and trainers in the gym are all far and above excellent. They all seem to be professional, courteous, and efficient.
I love the variety of classes and the camaraderie at the Y. The individual training is very personalized and I am seeing results.
Something for everyone. Lots of variety in classes and at varying levels. All instructors are professional and friendly
Early morning pool hours are totally dominated by masters swim and high school swim team. For those of us who want to swim before work it is nearly impossible to get a lane even sharing with another person between 5:30 and 7:30. Masters dont need to be taking 5 lanes, it’s too much . Not their fault, it’s the Y that lets them monopolize the pool because they want the $$.
Staff is great
It is a welcoming place with friendly faces. The group classes I have attended have been good. I'm enjoying the expanded and updated facility and new machines.
It is a great value for the monthly cost. I really enjoy the group classes and Jessica and Sara are very good instructors
I have been a member for many years and it is the highlight of my day.
Bigger than John Geigle with more bikes etc.
Clean facility, lots of classes, professional instructors, wide variety of programs for all ages.
