Communication was lacking with the senior estimator and project manager. Several times we had to email and request an update or request a callback. When no one responded back we would then have to reach out to the production administrator for answers.

There was definitely some short falls regarding communications between sales rep, scheduling, crew foreman, sub contractors and the client. We had to continually call for follow-ups and explanations regarding the quality of the work and scope. Starting with advanced notice of arrival on site and with what the supervisors and crews where expected to do and what was agreed to when originally talking to the sales team as outlined in our contract. It felt like everyone was just going through the motions to get things done... whatever way!

Lack of attention to details

I have had two projects down with epic. Two different experiences. This project was handled extremely poorly.

Very poor communications with our PM Colin Milne, never responds to emails or our calls, asked from the quotation stage to be provided with a WCB clearance letter and a certificate of insurance, we were told our PM would provide us these documents after we signed the agreement and before the work commenced. Requested it again twice in writing to our PM and he ignored us twice again. A serious work place accident occurred on our project, was a traumatizing experience. We are thankful the injured members of your crew recovered from what could very well have been a multiple fatality incident, including the risks to the occupants and neighbors of this site.

This is the second time Epic Roofing&Exteriors has repaired hail damage on my home. I have found them to be very reliable and their work is great quality.

Very clean work once they started

Although the project manager provided resolution to most of the concerns brought forward, everything that happened was avoidable and unfortunately left an overall impression that we could not rate 5 stars or be inclined to highly recommend services to friends or family. I am rating 4 stars mostly because of the project management team and the ease in which Epic replaced what could be, sent the inspector out as requested and the timeline which was clearly communicated and adhered too.

For perspective: shingle drop off on roof was unnecessarily rough causing a lamp shade from our ceiling fan to fall and shatter to the ground (replaced), the roofing team broke an outdoor speaker on the deck (replaced), left scratches, dents and colored marks on our white aluminum deck railing (which did not affect the structure of our railings but is not fixable from an aesthetic perspective), did not use sharp blades leaving shingles with uneven and rough edges creating a less than straight and aligned installation (from the area we can see, this was replaced), and emptied their leftover 2L Coca Cola in to our snow banks in the front yard at the end of their day.

Epic completed the job within the window given safely. Some Items that i noticed needed repair after roof down. Damage to eaves trough and gutter guards. some gaps remained after cedar shingle removal were fixed. they also fixed a missing fascia piece that blew off in high winds.

I shopped around extensively, and Epic was the company that presented the best protocol. They seemed to have everything, such as insurance. Everything was lined up properly and presented professionally.

I was very pleased with the professionalism that Epic Roofing provided. This started with an accurate, prompt and detailed estimate of the work. Allan Lambie, a Senior Estimator, helped me in selecting a colour by providing knowledgeable advice and also helped to explain the different packages that were quoted. As the work continued, he answered other questions regarding scheduling and operational processes that made me feel more comfortable. The other folks that I worked during the process were also very professional and answered any questions I had in a timely manner and with a high level of customer service. I would certainly recommend Epic Roofing to others in the future.

Everyone through the entire process were great to work with. From cost estimate to completion, it was very fast, great results, and a couple last minute things were easily taken on. Those who were completing the work were all very nice, explained what was happening, and cleaned up everything from the work site.

I was attracted to their statement about quality, interaction, and follow-up. I was disappointed in all of these areas.

Excellent job from start to finish by entire Epic team.

Although the contract I signed was with Epic Roofing & Exteriors LTD a company called Yoab Roofing were the ones who did the actual re-shingling of my roof. There was a small section of my yard that was not cleaned up - nails and debris. I emailed a few concerns I had with the job and I was told that once an inspection was done they would get back to me. After several weeks Epic has not responded with any follow-up about the inspection. I would not recommend Epic Fail Roofing.
