They were efficient, timely, and nothing got broken.

They broke my TV, and my refund for that was only $22. They charged me more than the amount agreed on. I had a horrible experience. I will not refer to or use them again.

Although the men were careful, I don't think they knew the quality of items they were wrapping. One oil painting from the 1800s was wrapped in a blanket and then inserted into a box. I told them NOTHING can touch the canvas itself; well, the blanket touched the canvas and the box pressed against the canvas; when unwrapped, the canvas had stretched slightly. To fix that would require at least $1000 to restretch the canvas, and doing so could impact the paint (chips, etc.). They said they knew what they were doing. But I believe they had not been exposed to fine art and therefore did not know the extra care it would need.

I booked this company based on a recommendation…and I will do others the same favor. Great company. Great service.

I sent an email to Fred and Cindy Monday morning I believe as our bed boxfame is broken due to the reassemble of your worker. Our bed shifts and is not usable on one side-- without great care. I asked for some guidance on this as the boxframe is metal and costs $300 to replace.

Craig Van Lines is excellent to work with and is family oriented, and I knew my stuff was safe with them; they helped move me to different places in town, helped me put my things in storage and then helped me take them out of storage. I have used them three times in Virginia and the fourth time I moved to Florida. They showed up when they said they would. They are amazing; I would highly recommend them. I talked with Cindy Craig, and Fred, the owner, came out personally and checked everything out and gave an estimate, and they are pretty true to their estimate. They are easy to work with and very fair. They appreciate the military and give discounts.

The provided excellent service, they were very dependable, well priced, and really hard working dedicated movers. It was the best experience we have ever had moving. They were great to work with, and we feel very blessed to have found them .

There was an overall disregard for boxes labeled FRAGILE. There was sloppiness in items that were packed from the garage. When items were stacked in the basement, the stacks were too tall.

When Craig Van Lines comes to your house to evaluates your move, everything is documented on a computer and before the representative leaves he will provide you with a quote and explain the quote and move process. You do not have to put down a deposit which was fantastic for me. If you have any questions call the office and the staff will answer your question in a very professional manner. My total experience with Craig Van Lines has been outstanding.

The gentleman and lady who came were wonderful, very respectful, and patient.

Well, we started out late, more than an hour after the “window I was given” which was ok. The foreman was strong, courteous and knowledgeable. The other two did not speak English so it was very frustrating. The woman did not pack or unpack carefully. On arrival, she just stashed items in closets and rooms where they didn’t below. She was in a hurry to unpack picture frames, and just stacked them, causing several to be damaged. The foreman eventually corrected her. We paid for three people but actually got 2-1/2 because she didn’t move anything.

I will never use a moving company, the only time I have had no issues is when I pay for a pod and hire packers.

I try to support family owned businesses when I can. A representative from Craig arrived at my house to give an estimate. He checked all areas inside and out of the home. I went with Craig based on their advertised '80 years of experience' and estimate cost. I was told it would be a 2 day move and I provided all necessary information on location of move. One day to pack and one day to unload. It was not communicated to me that the actual truck loading would be done on day two. This meant loading started at 9:30am day 2, a two+ hour drive and then unloading (which went until 8:30 that evening). There was poor planning and communication from beginning to end.
When the movers arrived to load evidently they couldn't get the door to the truck open (latch frozen?) my husband heard a loud banging and went to enquire where he saw that a worker had helped himself to our tools, used a hammer to bang on the lock, broke the claw off the hammer and was trying to put it back when my husband appeared.
Regarding the estimate:
When the packers first arrived they were surprised they were packing a house. They stated that they thought they were going to pack an apartment and would not have enough boxes. More boxes were brought to the house (and added to the bill). When they completed the packing they stated that they did in fact have lots of boxes left unused.
After the original representative came out to give the estimated we either sold or donated the following- 2 solid wood dressers, a wood dining table, 8 dining chairs, 3 counter stools, an 8x8 wool rug, and 8x10 wool rug, a coffee table, and 3 shelf unit, a wood futon, a sofa and love seat and a heavy vintage oak desk. These items were removed from the house AFTER the estimate was made. Nothing additional was added to the home. When the move was finished I was presented with a bill that was over $3,000.00 higher than the estimate, I was told this was because the weight changed (was heavier) Since so many items were removed after the estimate and before the move this suggests to me that the estimator was either incompetent to be so far off, or this was some sort of 'bait and switch' scheme. I did send and email to the owner of the company about this and it went unanswered.

The team from Craig‘s made a very difficult double move so smooth, and they were so supportive and creative about solutions we needed to have in place. I’d never use anyone else.

This is a local company and they can ship Nationwide without farming out the move to the large Nationwide movers. They maintain control of your belongings and they have a vested interested providing good customer service.

From start to finish, the process was smooth. Cindy was helpful, attentive, and responsive at every turn. Eddie was fantastic! He & Jorge were thoughtful and careful with my things. My sister received the shipment the following day. She said both Eddie & his assistant (I did not catch her name) were great. I would recommend Craig Van Lines to anyone needing their services.

We hired Craig Movers based on the good reviews. Fred came and gave us a reasonable estimate that we accepted and scheduled the packing date and pick up of the car. The packers used way more boxes than Fred estimated. Many boxes had 3-4 items and filled with paper. One huge box had 3 small trash cans and a bath mat stuffed with paper. That was repeated over and over. So much wasted materials and the estimate was $1500 less than the final bill we were presented with. All the difference was in the packing. We were told that dressers and end tables could move with the clothes in them. I would have packed my own clothing rather than have men going through my lingerie and packing it—- and then being charged for it. Information given by Fred did not match what the packers did. We were disappointed how this ended up—we certainly expected more from a company that was highly rated.

I would not recommend Craig Van Lines. In fact, I’m going out of my way to leave negative reviews to help anyone who is considering Craig Van Lines steer clear.

They are very responsive. The front office is great. They are very attentive to issues. Their customer service is great. I got my stuff back and didn't have any issues. It's all been good.

I used Craig just 6 months prior to this move and they were outstanding!! I was not expecting anything less this time so was disappointed.
My two beds, one a sleep number was incorrectly set up.
To their credit, one of the Craig men came right out. It is an incredibly heavy bed and yet on his own, he moved it. He also was able to fix shelves in an inexpensive storage piece I could not dislodge.
Sadly, once he left, I realized that the bed had been pushed up against the wall making the tilt feature inaccessible. I had to move the bed myself which was close to impossible.
I also had to move my son’s bed in order to access the tilt feature and get the remote which, although attached, was under the bed in the middle.
As I unpacked further, I noticed a knob on the dining room furniture was badly bent.
I accept responsibility for not knowing enough about my Sleep By Numbers bed, however on my first move there was absolutely no problem with the bed.
I also know I should have checked all items for loss or damage as the clips for a bookshelf are missing so the shelf cannot be used until I buy clips.
Although the people are wonderful, I am still disappointed overall.

This is the fourth time I've used Craig Van Lines. They always show up on time and knock the job out quickly. I pack the boxes and use the strong backs of Craig Van Lines to move out and into the new place. Prices are much less than their competitors! Give them a try! Craig C.
