Collis Roofing Review: Job # 158749/Final Evaluation - Started Monday March 1st thru Tuesday March 9th, 2021 Salesman Chad PRO / was professional and fair in his job bid and was thoughtful of me as the Customer. Paid attention to my requests for a detail estimate. Responded to my inquiries and passed on concerns to the proper persons. As requested by me, Chad erected a simple structure around my HVAC Unit to protect it from falling debris, which did save the unit from cast-off roofing debris. CON / was uninformed that Roofers were Sub-Contractors. Roofers PRO / All worked very hard and diligently, usually starting around 7:30 am and finishing around/after 7:00 pm. All seemed knowledgeable of their craft and utilized the tools and materials to remove and install a new roofing system. All were courteous, well-mannered and mostly paid attention to detail. CON / None were able to communicate in English. Upon inspection of my attic after the roofers re-nailed the roof decking I noticed Hundreds, yes hundreds of nails that missed studs [pic # 1}. Only about a dozen were addressed by the roofing crew. On Wednesday and Thursday work did not end until after 7:00 pm, they worked in pitch darkness. The final day at the most critical area of my roof they rushed to complete work by flashlight at the ridge where they made mistakes that will need to be addressed. Very little due diligence was given to flying debris and nails. Minimal shrub protection and rutting of my yard seemed normal and just part of their routine. They made an attempt to clean-up (in the dark by flashlight) but, I am still finding debris and nails. Dumpster PRO / The roofing crew had a dumpster. CON / 1st Driver delivering showed up unannounced on a Sunday – luckily I was home to show him where I thought it should be placed. 2nd Driver Unannounced (not the same as the 1st driver) showed up at 8:15pm on Friday night– I was alerted by my security cameras as the driver knocked on my back door. He informed me he was there to retrieve the dumpster. Working only by the light of his cell phone he managed to hook up the dumpster and when maneuvering in the dark drove over the large rocks I have to protect my satellite dish and rutted my yard and stone drive pull-off. He left my residence after 9:00pm. Materials Delivery Company PRO / 2nd truck dispatched did a great job maneuvering my driveway not causing any shoulder damage and placing materials where needed on the roof. CON / 1st delivery drivers seemed unsure of how to maneuver and place shingles on the roof and after some conversation left the jobsite without accomplishing anything. Supervisor Joseph PRO / Joseph was courteous when addressing my concerns. CON / Spent little time at the job site which put me in an uncomfortable position of answering questions from shingle delivery people and trying to communicate with the work crew, who did not speak English. Page 2 Work crews did not show up on days promised to correct faulty work that was performed in a rush by flashlight in total darkness. Rework/Repair PRO / After 5 days since the last shingle was laid… a Repair Supervisor, Zach, A Clark sub-contractor showed up at 9:45am on Tuesday 3/9 and asked me what the issues were on the roof, apparently with only basic information by Collis. I showed him the areas of concern, via-my photos. The worker evaluated the areas of concern and left the jobsite around 10:30am said he would coordinate his other crew and pick-up materials and return later. CON / That original work had to be removed (ridge vent/ridge shingles), repositioned, re-nailed, roof cemented and reinstalled for the repair. After work coordination and transport of needed materials - the repair job was completed at 4:45pm. Bottom line the crew that installed the roof and created the issue should have been the crew to address the issue. I still believe where the job site fabricated toe boards were fastened to the roof, under the shingles was not addressed correctly with roofing cement in all areas that were nailed ( toe-boards were removed while roofer was wearing a headlamp in the dark). Dozens of nails attached to the toe boards were pulled from the sheeting and shingles were just flapped back down. Final - Materials were new and met my expectations, except for the unpainted cheap exhaust vents. Cost was reasonable. Workmanship was mostly excellent. Job oversite was fair. Overall, only if needed improvements for job materials delivery, crew and work scheduling/coordination, quality of work and performance were addressed and improved, I would recommend Collis Roofing. After retiring in the Facility Management field with nearly 38 years of experience in asset management I find this simple evaluation to be fair and concise.

The workers were very quick and thorough and they did a very good job. I am very satisfied with the finished product.
They did a great job and were very accurate and assisted me with everything, I was amazed with how well they treated me.
The job was not finished. Property was damaged. They did not do the repairs. I've called and called. Each time, they promise someone will come out and take care of it, but it never happens. I'm very disappointed in them.
The final product was good, but the process was very uneven.
Collis roofing did an absolute wonderful job. They explained everything to me.
They replaced a lot of wood that did not need to be replaced and that drove the price up.
There were a lot of scheduling discrepancies.
I enjoyed the company and their work. Their people were professional, with the exception of the salesperson.
FROM BEGINING TO FNISH GREAT STAFF AND WORKERS
They did a great job, I was very happy with the out come.
I will happily sing the praises of Collis Roofing to anyone contemplating roof repairs!

By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Collis Roofing as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5.
