Originally called Safeway Safety Step, LLC, CleanCut was founded by Don Stafford. As a 37-year retired veteran of the City of Cincinnati Fire Department, Don had identified firsthand the need for easier access to enter and exit the bathtub area.
Don had a vision to create simple access to existing bathtubs without having to remove the tub and perform a costly bathroom remodel. Don applied for and was successfully awarded a U.S. Patent for his innovative process and product.
Today, CleanCut is second-generation family business that continues to develop innovative accessibility products. Our products have been installed for homeowners, assisted living and senior living residences, state and local social programs and hospitality properties throughout the United States.

CleanCut was the perfect solution when I was faced with making changes quickly to safely address my husband’s showering needs. We had already redone the bathroom so altering the tub made the most sense. It was done within a few days at the fraction of the cost of removing the tub and retailing walls. A perfect solution.

The installation resource, James Cavallo, was the resource assigned to this project. He arrived ahead of schedule, explained what he was doing every step of the way, left the bathroom clean after the project was completed and was a pleasure to work with.

Additional Comments - Highly recommend this product if you’re looking for easy access to your bath tub. Our tub was over 50 years old and was made of cast iron and presented no challenge whatsoever to the install team.
