Flexible schedule Easy check-in. Nice people.
Wonderful atmosphere, welcoming staff and instructors.
It is a wonderful facility with many different types of exercise with swimming and yoga and Line Dancing. They are my favorites. It keeps me feeling healthy and happy. I love seeing all my friends at the YMCA.❤️
There is a need for indoor Pickleball. In the summer, it’s too hot to play outside on rainy days. We don’t get to play. Additional parking is needed.
Love the pool and everyone is friendly
The availability of all different class types.
With all the programs..for children or Adults such a variety of things to due also accomodations for the handicapped!!
Great atmosphere and gym equipment
I like the variety of activities offered, the common space for visiting, and the welcoming staff and members. The pool is wonderful for swimming and the recumbent bike has been great too. I also like the shower and locker room facilities.
I would recommend the Y to friends who feel comfortable with their own exercise routines and who can manage on their own.
Equipment maintenance
I have talked about and recommended the Y to many people.
Too many members sit on machines (most sit for an average of 5 minutes) between exercise sets for long periods of time and refuse to allow fellow members to share the machine as they rest before their next set. I have counted up to 5 machines at a time with members simply sitting sometimes for up too 10 minutes before they begin the next set. It is a frustrating situation. This should be addresser. I have been a member of other gyms where this is not such a big problem and proper etiquette is actively encouraged.
Nice facility, welcoming lobby with friendly staff, good hours, super clean. Ample parking. Sometimes there’s a line backed up to check in at the only scanner, and often there are members just conversing with staff in front of it. This is a frustrating waste of time for people like myself who are trying to get a work out in on a limited lunch hour.
The people there are very polite and friendly. Haven’t gone enough yet to say much else.
The facilities are great and there are many group fitness programs.
Good environment and good selection of equipment.
Up until recently I would have given it a 10, but have been a bit discouraged. A month ago I put in a comment card and asked to be contacted, but I never was. I am very upset about some of the recent class changes that have been made. It disrupted many participants schedules just to accommodate one not so good instructor.
membership has outgrown facilities. Too long wait for swimming lap lanes and crowds in the gym.
Not a great selection of classes. I would like to take Pilates class in the afternoon, not everyone gets up at the crack of dawn! I am trying the Barre class, it's ok, but it's not as good as a pilates class for me.
They go to the silver sneakers, classes, and the other classes, and I enjoy the workout in the social in the staff
It is not easy to schedule a class for the next day when you are actively participating in another. It is rude to the instructor to have to be on the phone during an active class. Furthermore, it interrupts the excercise in motion, and is distracting to other participants. The difficulty in signing up for next day class limits the experience and availability to select a variety of classes during the window of time alotted from work or other obligations.
Cannot get into Silver Sneakers classes. 5 min. after reservations are open the class is full. Some people don't reserve and just walk in.
On top of everything that is already great about the YMCA, Barbara C. (the cycling class leader) is very good at producing a sense of community and joy in her classes.
I enjoy the water zumba classes and water areobic classes.
