I strongly regret purchasing my exterior doors from Champion Windows
I really don’t know if you want me to fill this out because my experience was really crappy. We ordered our windows in October after several phone calls they were not installed until February. At that time the large screen on front was not in the frame tight so they ordered us a new one and said they bring it back. I have called and checked on it a couple of times and I’ve gotten no response. As far as I’m concerned, I would not use Champion Windows again. I am not mad at any Individual just mad at Champion.
OVERALL: The finish product is beautiful! However getting to this point was awful, very frustrating. No one stays in touch. No prior schedule to install products - sliding glass door or sunporch. Call when they were heading to my house.
I’ve met 2 people since starting this last November that feels exactly the same. The product is great but the process is a very poor, frustrating experience!
If someone asks about the Champion sunporch. I will tell them I love my sunporch. I will also explain it’s a miserable process to go through. No contact to keep you in the loop. If there a glitch no one to talk to about it. Courtney only one who returns calls. She passed messages about the sliding glass doors & problems with 4” concrete/footings but no one called. I am still very unhappy with the extra trim on the glass door. Champion does not stands behind their work!! No even look at the problem!! I would probably suggest they look at other companies. I paid a premium price for the glass door and the sunporch. I should not have to accept a door too small for my space. Your reps should not decide what they want for me - I should choose what I want! I’m sure they saw me as a little old lady but what they didn’t see was a strong woman who was totally involved in building 3 homes and major renovations to 2 vintage homes! I know what I want!!
I was going to buy Champion windows for my house and planned to have them by now but I’m going to look around because of your customer service.
SLIDING GLASS DOOR: I had double doors out to my screen porch and wanted a sliding glass door entrance to the sunporch I was getting from Champion.. Scott came over and spent a long time measuring the door. Some weeks later the door was here. First notice was a call saying they were heading to over to install the door. Two guys came out to install. They looked at opening and immediately both started measuring and glancing at each other. One guy said to the other after a lot of measuring “what are we going to do now”
Other guy “damn if I know”. They went to truck for a while (on the phone) and came back with the door. I ask if there is a problem they said “no”. I hate the door!!! It was to small for the space so the put another strip of vinyl at top to cover the gap. It looks awful. Then one guy with dirty hands starts smearing caulk. Honestly a 10 year old could have done a better job. Way too much caulk and it’s dirty.
I started calling about the door telling them Scott told me the door would fit perfectly in the space and I didn’t need to do anything with inside trim. I talked with Courtney and Dennis several times. No one had answer. No one came to check door. No one cared that I was dissatisfied!! I purchased a storm door for my front door. Scott came to measure. I showed him the door. He said the 81 1/2” door would have fit there but it’s a custom door and costs more so they used the regular door. I told him they should have ask me. I make my own decisions!! I’ve called Carl a couple times. One time I didn’t hear back and next time he was very frustrated with me and said “a guy will be back here shortly , I’ll send him over there.” No one came. When started building the Sunporch I told him about the door. He came in to see. He shook his head and said the 81” door would have fit. He didn’t like the way it looks inside either. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT THIS DOOR! NO ONE HAS OFFICIALLY COME TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. I TOTALLY RESENT THEM MAKING A DECISION ON MY BEHALF. THEY SHOULD HAVE ASK ME WHAT I WANTED. ONE THING I TOLD COURTNEY WHEN SHE CAME TO TALK TO ME ABOUT THE SUNPORCH/SLIDING GLASS DOOR IS THAT I AM VERY PICKY ABOUT HOW MY HOME LOOKS.
SUNPORCH: I had a screen porch with concrete floor. Champion rep wanted to replace my patio concrete as it was not 4” thick and pour footings to support heals posts, glass, roof by adding one foot extra concrete to size of current patio. County said no that I’m over property line. Champion rep then said they would just build on current patio. This concerned me as patio 2-3” deep and has cracks. Couldn’t get answers to proceed. They insisted I get HOA approval but I refused to do so until I got answers about 4” concrete & footings they told me they had to have to support their heavy poles, glass, roof. Finally after not hearing back from Champion for a month or more called customer service for help. Dennis said they didn’t think I needed footing. I ask for explanation. We went round and round and Dennis then agreed to send a rep out to check my concrete patio. The rep said it needed footings under each post. Few weeks later I got a call they were on way to start sunporch. This was first notification I got. Luckily it was home. I said to rep so you’re coming to pour the footings. He said no we’re starting to build. After another heavy discussion about the footings. I told them no footings no sunporch. I didn’t want to worry about it caving in! So footings poured!
The guy they sent out to install the sunporch has done a beautiful job!! He is very nice, friendly and happy to answer any questions!
My new sunporch is beautiful!! His name is Michael Gardner. He is finishing up out there now. Just has to come back to install 3 pieces of glass when it come in.
Patio roof installed in 2015 and windows installed in early 2024. All work done professionally. HOWEVER, Champion is not honoring their commitment to servicing their products. This area needs to be looked at!
We already have recommended Champion to someone.
It was told to us by salesman that the window and siding they installed was energy efficient and we could take it off our taxes, When we tried it was not true. Had doors put in and was told the same thing, not true also. Was very disappointed, they should have offered a refund or something to make up but didn't probably won't use them again, but they do good work and clean up after it is complete.
Once the windows were sold to me, there were delays, sales man tried to give me a different color, and while the product is great, there were some installation quality issues that have yet to be resolved.
screws on window locks not screwed down. Inside finish of garden window needed to be installed.Bottom sash window would not remain up, silicon chaulking on all outside windows applied too wide, making a wide application obvious noticeable. Allitem were corrected once I called.
They failed inspection on seven items on March 6th and have not come to complete any of the items on the list and keep saying they are coming next week, but have not shown up.

Very professional and friendly. Came when they said and finished in a timely manner. All together very satisfied except for the loan company that they use.
Quality control was lacking. Roof leaked on sunroom, handprints between window panels, black stuff and resin can't be cleaned off windows.
we ordered our windows in march 2023. they were finished installing them in February 2024. totally unacceptable.
Broken window pane found upon installation. Installer noted and reported to office. Followup call next day confirmed problem would be handled. Later determined replacement was not ordered for over one month. Now 10 weeks later still waiting for replacement. They don't appear to take followups seriously.
Once the sale and install was completed I could not get anyone to return to clean up.
Cost was a bit high.

I was quoted for the windows and given a small discount for paying cash. Scheduling was easy. Our salesman stated that he would be present on installment day - he was not. Our windows were put in and 4 of the screens needed replaced due to tears. The screens were replaced within the week of calling. The goal of this consultation was to improve the efficiency of our home’s heating/cooling expenses - per our electricity company efficiency review, new windows were the key. We were told by the salesperson that the new champion windows would drastically improve the efficiency of our home and our electric bill was expected to drop up to 40%. Our electric bill did NOT decrease at all in the following months. No efficiency improvement has been reflected on our energy consumption or billing statements. Overall, we are disappointed.
I had windows put upstairs years ago love them had a few replaced and I had great service. I had 3 basement windows installed this year and there was some mess left so I cleaned the windows and all around the area and tried to open one and the handle came off, which I assume the installer knew before leaving it was not right. I called and the gentleman came and checked everything and ordered a part 1/16 smaller and he came today and it turned out to be the same size as the original so we will see if the third time is the one? The man who takes care of problems is a good employee. I feel the quality went down since my first order.
Was a return customer and, unfortunately, we had a better experience the first time around.
The product (window) is great, but everything associated with getting the product is greatly underwhelming. From ordering, shipping and installation, there were massive delays and multiple inquiries that were ignored repeatedly. It took 37 weeks to complete a job that I was told would take 20-26 weeks. Then the installation crew did a good job, except for one issue and then no showed when they were scheduled to fix it. Supremely underwhelmed overall with Champion service. Their product is good, but all other discombobulated business functions around that good product make it a moot point.
The installation was the worst experience. I was told they would be there during the morning 'window' but closer to the later part which was 11. When the I stall team didn't show up by 12:30, I called to find out why. I left a message with the woman who answered the phone to call back and provide information about arrival time. Got a call about 30 minutes later from one of the guys who said they would be there by 2. He said he was putting it I to his GPS right then and the app had them arriving at 2. By 2:30, they still hadn't arrived. I received a call from a man who said he was the supervisor and he inquired how the job was going. I informed him they hadn't arrived yet. He said he would follow up and find out what the delay was. His call back never came. The team of installers finally arrived at 4 pm. It took them 4 hours. They left debris (broken glass and pieces of material) around the house. The inspector was another sales guy who was a complete waste of space and had no apology nor explanation of the incredible delay in service to my home. I am so disappointed by the people who work for champion.
No I am not.
We had a issue with damage to our dinning room table by one of the installers. Although I think we have finally been able to resolve this matter, It has been a arduous ordeal and taking months to resolve. We kept getting promises that were not upheld and had to repeat the scenario to multiple layers in the organization. Additionally, communication was not timely and required multiple texts and phone calls to get individuals to call back with information about our dilemma.
Lack of follow through and communications for a major issue caused during project.
Windows and doors took 4 months longer than expected.
We are very happy with the siding project just completed on our home. The workmanship is excellent, the finished product is exactly what we anticipated it to be, and we believe the added value was worth the investment we made by selecting Champion to complete the project for us.
We love our sunroom and have recommended Champion to friends.
The windows are pricey but are good quality. Certainly much nicer than my old windows. I only replaced half for now because of affordability, but I'm eager to replace the other half through Champion once I finish paying for the first half. The windows look very nice, and I can open and close them all one-handed because the locks turn easily and the slide up and down in the frame is effortless.

The experience with Champion was great. Everyone was friendly and professional. The price was reasonable given the economic pressures with the latest inflation increase, and the demand for construction work post-covid.

Did not like the payment options given. As a repeated customer, I was required to pay almost the total cost before the work was started. Champion advertised buy 2 windows and get 2 free plus no interest, no money down, and no payment for 12 months. I feel I should have been able to pay a down payment and balance at completion.

Everyone from sales person to installation crew were very professional, on time, and so far windows look great!
