I would have given Champion a 5 star rating if the Electrician Champion subcontracted had done his job correctly. If you have used Champion in the Knoxville area, it's more the likely you were sent the same Electrician, so I suggest you ask Champion for all the permits required for the job they did on your project with them. I wish I had done so!
I highly recommend this company for all your sunroom/window needs. After the fantastic job on the building and assistance for the planning of our Sunroom, that we use as a dining room, I had them back to replace 5 other windows.
The crew was really good. I could not have been happier.
They did an excellent job!
Our window was to be delivered in 6 weeks, after 8 weeks we began to call to check on the window. Finally after 9 weeks we were notified our window was in. Installation was scheduled for 2 weeks later for an afternoon appointment. We called the office to verify the installation could be done in an afternoon, stating they were cutting out a large portion of our wall, we were assured the installation could be completed. When the installers arrived, they wondered why they had such a big window for our replacements. They then decided they could not complete the installation in the afternoon. Installation was scheduled 2 weeks later. They did arrive on time, and worked an extremely long day. They announced they would come back the next day since they ran out of day light. They finally showed up at 6 pm the following day, checking the caulking and finishing the sheet rock they had cut out. The joint compound was applied extremely thick (since he did not want to return again), when dried it was extremely rough and cracked. We contacted customer support because we did not receive our screens with out windows and also sent pictures of the sheet rock work and a few days later were contacted by the Knoxville office. They had another gentleman come out and fix the joint compound. The job was MUCH better! This gentleman left a note stating he could come back out & sand. The same gentleman brought our screens several weeks later with no mention of sanding the joint compound. We have 2 sliders on our window the right window does not align properly for locking, it takes adjusting when you slide it closed to lock.
The installer Shane was a one man crew. He knew his craft very well. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Almost everything we had was Champion. There were a couple of windows that were not Champion. The sunroom we had was 20 years old. Because of the customer service, we had previously experienced with Champion on our already installed products was one of the reasons we continued and maintained the Champion name. They did work along with us to replace the only two windows in our house that was not Champion. We liked the previous product and they worked with us. Now everything in our house is Champion, all the windows and main entrances because they have proven to us that their customer service is top-notch. They moved out of Knoxville, we don't know why but we found out they are relocating back into Knoxville. We have been very pleased. The customer service brought us back to them. We know if we have any problems with anything they will come back and take care of it.
We appreciate that the salesman was not pushy and answered all our questions. The timeline is reasonable. The door is GORGEOUS! We've never had this much glass in a front door before and are very happy with the design and the security glass aspect. We are also SO happy that we were able to get decorative/security glass HALF sidelights, which was a challenge in our door space. The installation crew did an excellent job on the day of.
It was a very well executed job. As far as the product itself and who put it in, I don't think it could have been done any better.
Not if there are no sales people locally.
Champion Windows of Knoxville is not a reputable company. Please don't go through what we had to go through for 5 months to finally get a room completed that is less that desirable. The materials that they use are subpar for the price that you pay. IF you chose not to listen to my warnings, make sure you get an itemized list of everything that you want to have done. Because, once they get started and take apart you room and then decide that they cannot complete it the way you want, replacing glass with cheap vinyl held together with colored caulk; you will not be offered a reduction in cost. The Champion of Knoxville is Not the reputable company that it was a few years ago and only has a handful of builders. Beware of allowing Richard to build your room, he is unable to create a right angle and his finishing skills are nothing more than pinching pieces together and gluing with caulk. Any corners that can be cut to cut down on costs are; such as, not attaining building permits and posting them, not attaining electrical permits, not putting in insulation in the walls or the ceiling, or the crawl space, and then not have a building inspection. All of those things are quoted to you in the price at the beginning as Why your sunroom will cost you at LEAST double over any other company. We were told the room would take about 2 weeks to complete. IT took 5 months to complete with one month having our window frames blocked with plywood during the summer months blocking all light to our room and view of the golf course. We did not get the room we were promised, many of the employees either quit or were fired and very little communication was ever shared. We had to work with an engineer Sunroom Specialist from St Louis to finally get our room completed. Are we
the quality was excellent. the two installers were great at their work.we would use them again.
I was satisfied with the installation crew. They knew what they were doing and they did a professional job.
They were hard to schedule once they closed their Knoxville office.
I'm kind of dissatisfied with the after-construction repairs that were needed. It should have been done right the first time.
Champion Windows of Knoxville was a horrible experience from the manager Darryl to the lead installer Jason.
We're completely satisfied with Champion Windows of Knoxville from start to finish. There were no issues which is always a problem on big jobs like this.
I really like the door and the installers who put it in. It just took a long while to get it installed no one ever had an answer for how long it would take for it to get installed.
My screened patio is beautiful !!
I've never been dissatisfied with the quality of windows that Champion Windows has. I've replaced 15 windows and 2 doors total and Champion has done all but two of the widows.
Out of the eleven windows that I had installed, seven of them are fogging up.
All of the Champion staff I dealt with was friendly, courteous and very helpful. I am very satisfied with the products and the whole experience.
My project was professionally done by Champion Windows of Knoxville. I could not have asked for anything better.
I don't like that they promised something that couldn't be delivered.
