Great products poor installers

When Champion built my sunroom, I thought they were the best company. They made me feel very comfortable and assured that anything went wrong they would be there to help for the life of that room. So when time to replace my home windows, I contacted Champion with no hesitation. The sales person was great. The installment of the windows went well. However there was a small problem with them replacing my security bars back on the windows in the back. I called to ask why they were not installed and was told the windows were to big and the would not fit properly. I told Champions customer service what the installment team told me. The very next day without my notice the installment team was back installing the security bars into the window frame. I called back and talked with the installation manager and I asked how this would affect my lifetime warranty and was told it would not. So I asked for that statement in writing before I approved Champions final payment. The manager would not release a written guarantee without my release of payment, a tug of war. I felt compelled to release the funds because of the installers previous actions. Perhaps they would come back and remove the windows. At that last contact with the installation manager I did receive an unclear email about my warranty. I vowed at that time to never use Champion again for any of my home projects.

At this point we are experiencing so doubt about the project.

Would have been a 10, except the caulk used is not paintable. I had a hard time trying to paint it, took multiple coats to cover it.

The installation crew were not obtrusive and pleasant while working and respected our space by removing their shoes to work in the white carpeted areas. They were efficient and promptly cleaned up the work areas. They also vacuumed the carpeted areas. I am very satisfied with the results.

Champion Windows is partnered with a financial company called GreenSky which is affiliated with Goldman Sachs. They tell you that your window purchase will be 11.99 % until you get the paper work in the mail informing you that the percentage rate will go up in 3 months to 23% and the loan is like a credit card, but you can't transfer the balance to another credit card. I call it the hook and crook. Thank God our Heavenly Father that we have managed to keep our credit in Good standing and our Credit Union approved our loan so that we can get out of this treacherous mess. No window is worth destroying your credit history. And my contractor said we paid too much for 6 windows..So the rest of the windows will be done by my contractor. But as for the windows they are beautiful. As they should be for $10,000 for 6 windows. The installers can't speak any English and had to use their phones to translate. The beautiful molding that they said we would get around All of the windows; we did not get. We only got it around the foyer window.

We appreciate the service Champion provided. They were detailed in their explanation of the entire process. We had 17 windows replaced and they made it seamless. Of the 17 windows one was damaged. The replacement was quick and simple. It arrived 2 weeks later and was installed. Our windows on the home are beautiful and gave the home a new look.

Clean up and was not shown how to open and closed. The company had to send someone else and he was helpful.

We had windows installed several years ago and they were great. We ordered a sliding patio door with dog door in it. Took 19 weeks to get it was told it would take 10 to 12 weeks. The installers did a great job. The dog door was to small. I told the guy that measured for the door that it had to be at least the size of our other dog door. They had already taken out our old door. The trim around the door was suppose to be the same as the windows that had been installed previously. The trim is the same as the door no where the correct color. I have contacted Champion and they are suppose to correct the mistake. I hope it don't take 19 weeks to get it. I had to call several times trying to fi d out when we were going to get the door. I am very disappointed.

Great sales person and respectful members I’ve met. Only thing I can think of that would make it a straight 10 would be someone who follows up after the job is done in addition. To inspect behind the builders and have our personal opinions made in person. There are nit picky questions I had, but not enough to make a fuss over considering.

If anyone asks us who did our room, we will recommend Champion.

The sales pitch was great. It didn’t take very long for our order to come in. On our install day, naturally, we had a few questions as we received no preparation instructions. The lead installer was not very personable. He seemed more annoyed by our questions and was very short with us. Once the install was complete he eagerly handed us the paperwork to sign without doing a walkthrough. When we asked for the walkthrough again, he seemed irritated. There was one screen with a tear in it and they did replace it but reluctantly. We had questions about the cuts of the framing on some of the windows and weren’t given any explanation. For what we paid for these windows I expected way better service.

I believe that I was overcharged for the project. I was charged $12,000 to remove and install 3 new panels. Finally only 1 panel was removed and reinstalled and I was charged $10,000. ($10,000 to remove and install 1 panel). After 1 month I’m still trying to get back my refund ($2,000)

Champion did everything they said they would do. We have no issues with the Champion install team and would highly recommend them. The Champion personnel kept a tidy worksite, arrived on time, worked long hours, and answered every question we had.

From the salesman to the finished product everything was a disappointment. I am a lifelong construction man and everything was a battle. If I had zero experience in construction, nothing would have been right

Very professional... We've bought doors before from another residence...The installer was very good, attention to detail was perfect!!! Waiting on new windows to come in... Definitely recommend!!!!

They did a great job. Very happy. The house looks great!

The salesman sold me that their windows would help quiet down our bedrooms from traffic sound. Sound was the only reason we started window shopping. We believed what he said, so we did all of our windows with them. Now we are $14k in debt with louder bedrooms. More truck noises. Now we can’t actually afford to do any sound mitigation. So tired of being “sold” things. Wish peoples word still meant something. Our lives are worse off for having Champion come out. Some of the window trim is also damaged, but I can repair that stuff.

Windows are good and installation was good. But will never get back to me on warranty claim on older windows.

Very disappointed in my experience. Installation was missing one of the windows. I refused to make final payment. They claimed it would be 3 weeks. It’s been 5. Now I’m being told 8-12 weeks.

Service is too slow

The crew didn't speak English, When they were doing work I wanted changed they just looked me and said they don't understand me. when they tore down the old windows I asked them to correct for the damage and again they didnt speak English and didnt do as I asked

Very good workmanship. Room looks nice. It blends in well with the patio, deck, and house.
The only negative is the room costs were high for enclosing just 3 walls.
But, the price is what I accepted.
