I really had a lot of reservations about doing a remodel/rebuild but CG&S made the process digestible and easy.

The cost of our project is more than we would normally be comfortable with, but the early access to even rough numbers greatly helped us with the decisions we would have to make. Work was highly satisfactory, on time, quality of work was excellent, work crew was diligent and pleasant to work with.

CG&S were great to work with....they made the whole remodeling process enjoyable. We interacted with several CG&S employees throughout the project and all were very professional and a pleasure to get to know.

We used CG&S to do a fairly substantial renovation on a house we had just purchased in Austin. It was an excellent choice. The quality of their work was outstanding. The biggest features of the job was the replacement of an old back porch with a beautiful sunroom which now adjoins a large kitchen in the center of the house and the construction of an attractive pavilion towards the back of our lot which faces the sunroom.

Most of the interior rooms were redone and the design team worked closely with us to pick out the fixtures, appliances and wall treatments that we needed. We were very happy with the results.

All of the CG&S team members were great to work with. We ran into some pandemic related delays and the team did everything they could to work our scheduling problems.

We can unhesitatingly recommend them.

We have had a mostly positive experience with CG&S so far, and would recommend CG&S to a friend overall. We did have some frustrations with the design phase (explained below) but have appreciated many of the staff we are working with (Lara and David in particular) and are so glad to be in the construction phase now!

CG&S Design-Build is excellent. They are very professional, communicative, and they do very high-quality work. I had a previous contractor practically destroy the house. CG&S Design-Build picked up the project for me, even if it is not something they usually do. They redid the job. It was done very well and professionally. They were very kind. They were great!

I did a refresh for the primary bedroom and bath. The job was completed on time and within budget. Beautiful work. And they threw in a few free extras like balancing the closet doors, to make the project look special.

We've done several remodeling projects with CG&S, and have been very happy with the results every time. One crucial item is that they listen to the client, both in the design and production phases. We end up with a project that matches our needs and our style. They stand behind their work, sometimes even beyond the one-year warranty. They're considerate of our time and tell us who is scheduled to come when. They and their subcontractors deliver quality work.

This is our 4th major remodel with CG&S. On this project, we hired another company first and quickly realized that it wasn't a good fit for various reasons. We called CG&S and even though we are no longer in their service area, they agreed to take on the project. We knew we had lost quite a bit of time with the other company, but we were willing to wait to ensure we would end up with the quality, high end product we knew CG&S could deliver.. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and our project manager, Rick was very communicative and open to suggestions and helping in any way he could. We really echoey the design aspect of everything and choosing finishes and we are loving living in the finished product.

I will not recommend. Far too many problems with too many areas of the process. Time wasted, too much money spent….

CG&S is a well experienced and exceedingly professional company. I would recommend it to anyone who requires 1) an excellent design team and and 2) the expert management necessary to carry out . They really listen to the customer and deliver as promised.

Management Team was professional, reliable and thorough. Any issues that arose during the four-month project were resolved amicably and reliably.

After recommendations from several neighbors, we hired CG&S for a total renovation of our 20 year old house. We moved completely out of our home for nine months for the renovation to take place. From start to finish, we had a great experience that ended up with our "new" home being everything that we wanted, delivered on time and on budget (during the peak of the pandemic!).

We loved working with them. They were great.

Our sixty-year old house had a cramped addition that no one liked using. What was worse, we couldn’t access our backyard easily through it. When it came time to replace the addition, I knew that we wanted to replace it with a quality living space that we would enjoy inhabiting. We also wanted the space to feel like a natural extension of the original build.

To complicate matters, our house was built on the root zone of three heritage oak trees so we needed to improve their well-being and not harm them further.

CG&S navigated city and engineering requirements to build our new living/dining room, office, laundry, and half-bath. After living in the space for a year (including working at home during the pandemic), we love living here. The new addition lets light into the kitchen so even the old space feels friendlier.

Renovation isn’t cheap so you should expect to pay for quality work. We appreciate that CG&S assigned a build manager to coordinate staff, vendors, and city. Staff kept our house livable during renovations and we appreciate that as well. The resulting structure fits our original design sketch while solving the plumbing problems through the root zones. We feel like the space will age well with the house.

I love the quality of work of CG&S! They stand behind their work in case there ever is a problem or if a change needs to be made.
