It went pretty well from the salesperson to the installation.

The entire process was positive. From sales thru roof completion and follow up Capital was accessible, responsive, did quality work, explained what they were doing, and kept us apprised of progress.

They did not come back and compact the ground footing supports for the deck. They also never delivered or install the vinyl drip siding piece. I know we are at the extreme end of their territory but we paid a more than fair price for the deck and it should be completed small piece or not.

From start to finish the professionalism of the contractors was apparent. They were diligent and focus throughout the construction of the deck; for example the proper permits were pulled, the inspections were done, and we were left confident that the work was done properly. Overall, we are very happy and satisfied with the result of the work.

They were very good and very fast. They were very clean with their pickup and very respectful of my property.

I will not recommend this company. The salesman that I worked with was pushy and aggressive. He called me while I was driving or out to dinner. I told him several times that I couldn’t talk at the moment and he persisted. He kept throwing more and more discounts my way. I got so tired of talking to him I just said , “fine let’s do this deck”. The time frame he gave me was 3-5 days with a crew of 3-5 guys. They started 6 weeks later than the original start date and it took them a month to do the job. The yard was left with nails, piles of concrete, cigarette butts and sawdust piles everywhere. The areas of earth that were displaced, rocks were just scattered all over my yard. Products were on my lawn for 4-5 weeks , killing my brand new lawn that had just been laid the year before . The company that they used for a dumpster, threw 3 garbage bins full of product over the sides and left it on my lawn. The amount of excess, wasted product was ridiculous, probably in the vicinity of $3000 worth of material. The Company they
Used for the port o potty didn’t even pick up the potty for almost 8 days after the project was finished, also, killing a 4 X 4 patch of band new lawn. The project manager Ryan was the saving grace to this company. The actual workmen who did all the labor were fantastic. The final result is gorgeous, but the credibility of this company is not good. I will not be using them or recommending them to anyone. Sadly. I was also told that a video was going to to made of the project for their advertising purposes, that was never done. I would highly recommend Capitol Construction. I have had some bad experiences in the past with home improvement projects and hired professionals, but this job went very smoothly. They have a detailed quality process they go through, and what they said would happen , in order it was to happen, did. Everyone was knowledgeable, easy to work with, responsive, and the quality of the material but also the workmanship was excellent. The deck looks amazing, and I am so happy. From sales to project management, to administrative details, and hard workers, each person was so helpful and friendly. They are truly the deck experts.

The team was so pleasant to work with and was very clear about the scope of work, the turnaround time, and their general friendliness. They did not mind my overly-affectionate cat at all during our meetings and the roof team was studious and professional.

My experience with Capital Construction has been mixed: some issues with their sub-contractor for gutters. Did a terrible job and their largest mistake has not been fixed yet. What is worse: the mistake is on the front of the house. I might not have made an issue of it if it was on the back of the house; but it isn't. I can't say enough good things about the job supervisor John (usually called Jay) Avagianos; He was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond what I had expected. They should give him a raise! The sub-contractor electrician Henry Mazko, also gets 5 stars for the work they did in getting lighting installed and Nest Flood Light system installed. It was their idea and an excellent one.
The crew that did the actual vinyl siding installation were on the whole, pretty good. However, they do need supervision and Jay, being multi-lingual was able to make sure the siding was done right. So yes, I would recommend them to a friend but with some caveats.

Work was completed on a timely manner

My wife and I recently hired Capital to completely reside our home with a combination of Hardie Board, and PVC (2022-2023 winter). We planned and researched for almost two years before moving forward with the project. We received quotes from 4 Hardie certified companies. Capital was hands down the most thorough right from the start. They were the only company capable (or willing) of providing a fully itemized spec sheet of literally every single piece of material needed for the installation. So no mysteries as to where your money is going. Our project was quite labor intensive, and time consuming, therefore we had the opportunity to get to know the team quite well. Jay Avagianos and Arlin Serano were particularly easy to work with, and the quality of craftsmanship was top notch. We demanded perfection from the team, and they delivered. When we had any concerns regarding quality, Jay & Arlin worked to adjust things to our liking. We went with a product which would give us a near lifetime warranty. Therefore, we sought out a company who we thought would be around in coming decades to address any warranty issues. We are confident they will be after taking a chance on them. Good communication started with the initial meeting. I was left with a good understanding of what would be accomplished if we went forward. Pricing was very comparable between several companies but the background and other reviews helped me to decide on Capital Construction. I felt if there were any issues later on they would be there where a smaller or newer company may not be around. Not the least expensive but I felt the price was fair. I did meet with the project manager prior to the job starting and he informed me of all the details like position of dumpster and other equipment. The install team showed up and immediately went to work.
