The Curate team is talented, dedicated and caring. They are not a one size fits all shop. They went out of their way to make our experience a custom one. The team was flexible to our input and feedback and went out of their way to help us and answer questions, beyond the warranty period. We very much appreciate all that they did to help us build our home.

Areas Of Satisfaction/ Recognize Excellence - Our first meeting with Curate was awesome! It began with listening and learning, not with here are floor plans from which you can choose. They focused on us and how we lived. That's where they exceeded our expectations - helping us build our home based on how we live. Shout outs to Emily Simmering, Casey Thornton, and Dylan Welch. Emily and Casey were critical to the initial process, helping us to design our home. Emily and Casey are extremely talented, know the trends and helped us to design the home for how we live. From the colors chosen to each design element, everything came together in a cohesive way. Dylan was crucial to the back end. We have called Dylan with questions multiple times and he is always responsive and helpful.

Favorite Home Feature - The great thing about working with the Curate team is that we built and designed our home based on how we live. They were not focused on selling us upgrades or things such as high ceilings and open floor plans, or the newest trends. They listened to us to understand our needs first. Every detail was well planned. Everything we did is important to us (and we couldn't live without). We have a perfect layout design. We love our kitchen, the 2 master suites, and our finished basement.

Additional Comments - We do not believe in giving 5-star ratings because to us, that means everything would be perfect (and there is no such thing as perfect). Here's what we will say. Overall, this team is talented, dedicated and caring. They will go out of their way to help, even after the warranty period. We appreciate all of them and the efforts they made to help us create our home.

We have had several issues with Curate. The back yard is a major issue and I'm not sure I would recommend Curate at this time.

The Curate team works well together. The selection process was organized and allowed time for discussion when needed.

Areas Of Satisfaction/ Recognize Excellence - Every person was truly helpful to getting us a great product. Specifically: Kelly always had a cheerful smile, upbeat attitude and researched questions we had about the build. Casey had great suggestions for design. Emily has such a great sense of our style and gave me pros and cons of choices. Jamie is really fun and organized with suggestions that add a spark (the color of our front door!) I can't remember the guy's name that is helping us with our live edge wood shelves: He really knows his craft and had excitement about making the shelves, and took time to chat with us when we ran into him a few times on the site. I really cannot say enough about this team. We feel ridiculously fortunate that we connected with them!

I loved my experience with Curate! My home was a complete gut remodel and rebuild which comes with his own challenges. Bill did an amazing job with building my home leaving me with very few warranty items. And Dylan was very communicative and helpful to fix any warranty items I had quickly. I would 100% work with Curate again in the future!

The warranty process is worthy of a recommendation along with your design team and that process, but your construction process is a hard no.

Overall Sales Experience - Curate uses a very customer centric sales approach that is genuine and caring. The entire team very patiently allowed us to pinpoint precisely what we wanted in a home and we’re very excited to see it now come to fruition. Kelly and Brian were especially professional, personable, and effective. Such a refreshing difference in comparison to a large national builder we recently worked with during our last build in 2021/2022.

Areas Of Satisfaction/ Recognize Excellence - Everyone I worked with Kelly, Casey, Emily, and Jamie were amazing! They made this process very easy for me. We had a lot of fun with a process that could have easily overwhelmed me if not for their vast knowledge.

It has been a nightmare working with Curate. In the beginning it was great! We were in another state and they were very helpful in the planning process. They were always on time, and considerate of our time. Our move in date was April, and we finally moved in about 3 days before Thanksgiving. Not ideal, but it was during Covid, and we tried to allow for that. There was absolutely NO quality control! Who was suppose to be making sure everything was done correctly? And then when they turned it over to us, we had no choice but to sign. We had to be out of the house we were in. They said they had it professionally cleaned. I’d certainly fire that company. Debris on top of cabinets, fingerprints on just about every cabinet door. Floor adhesive was so sloppy I couldn’t believe my eyes. We are an older couple and not as agile as we once were, so cleaning this mess was not fun! The price we paid, one would expect a certain level of quality. They did try and clean up some of the adhesive on the floor, but when they tried a couple times I decided it wasn’t worth my time to have them return again. I got down on my arthritic knees, cracked open the mineral spirits, and cleaned it myself. Of course the cleaning is a minor issue, sorta. Overall, with a clear conscience, I cannot recommend Curate. I’m sure they will have plenty to say about this review, and give a lot of excuses, but we lived through it, and it wasn’t a walk in the park.
