We had a leak in dec that ruined 10 sqft of tile and went thru to basement where the drywall needed repair. It took a month for the project director to finalize the changes we requested to the contract, most of which were rejected. The conditions were over the top, does anyone read this?if I’d had an attorney review they would have laughed and advise not to sign.Anyway most changes were rejected and by then we had to get the job done. Work finally started in February, and just completed july 31. The biggest part of the job was replacing about 500 sqft of tile. The young man working, Larry, was doing a terrific job , then for some reason in April, Kyle, project director and Grant showed up and pulled Larry off the job,, no explanation. Grant didn’t seem too happy about it either. So a few more days delay to finish., mostly done by mid May. We then found signs of mildew in the bathroom where the drywall was repaired. It took 3 weeks to get the final quote. Then back and forth on who was supposed to submit to insurance. Then we didn’t hear from anyone for 2 weeks, despite txtxs and calls. I then called the office, and ultimately found out both Grant and Kyle were no longer with company. No one knew anything about the remaining work to be done. After getting all that straightened out, there were still delays and no information provided unless we called until someone called back. The poor communication is the primary reason I would not recommend Blusky. Secondly I do not think you have enough people and support staff. I get the feeling people leave because of that.so another negative. Thank you for asking. Robin Langowski
Overall the work was completed satisfactorily, and had great interactions with the crew. There was a lack of communication on when people would be out here, and what they were doing.
Super competent and so nice to have these guys helping me
Areas Of Satisfaction - Really liked working with Scott!
Areas Of Satisfaction - All! My tenants were in distress the morning of the loss, and the BluSky team dropped by with breakfast burritos for the entire crowd. That $30 meant so much to these folks!
On the good side-all Blusky employees were very polite; they stuck with the project to the end. My disappointment with their work- 1) I was originally told that my job was a straightforward one that would not be difficult to resolve but it took about 8 visits for the work to be completed in a manner that the mold testing company could give a passing grade. Each time was more time I had to make available for their visit and came so close to the closing date of my house sale which created a lot of stress. 2) communication between Blusky and the testing company could have been better as at first we were told a revisit by the testing company would not be necessary and then it all of a sudden was needed, which only was completed a day before the walkthrough for my house sale was scheduled. 3) Blusky did not always show up on time for their scheduled appointment, including their final visit where they were over an hour late and I had to initiate a call to them to get a status update on their arrival when they were already 25 minutes late- disrespectful and unprofessional.
Contractors were great to work with. Efficient and on the ball communication and follow through. Made a hard situation easy to deal with competent and reliable staff. Highly recommend.
Intentions were good, especially those of Scott, but a nightmare scenario developed that made it difficult to carry out the work in a timely fashion. Factors included the pandemic, labor shortages, high demand for renovation contractors and catastrophic wildfire damage nearby.
How can you recommend a company that does not communicate well, is full of excuses and has no concern for the speed in which they complete projects. They should focus on the jobs they start instead of worrying about taking on more work.
Not after this last experience
Be sure to ask questions, get documentation of everything, and be clear with your expectations.
BluSky was always highly professional! Each team member was quick to respond from the initial problem to the smallest of questions. We were constantly updated on where we were in the process. We would highly recommend BluSky and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.
BluSky has been helped us through our unexpected water damage and kitchen remodel! This can be a stressful project, especially when unplanned, but our Director Nick and crew have helped us greatly by making us feel cared for, hopeful, and always delivering professional communication that reassures us that we are getting top service.
Will recommend and use BluSky in the future.
We partially flooded our basement and immediately reached out to our insurance carrier and they contacted BluSky who in turn, contacted us almost immediately. They had a person out within hours to assess the situation and they brought in fans and a dehumidifier the following morning. They answered all my questions and concerns regarding the risk of developing future mold. Their communication skills, respect for the property, the quality of work and empathy for our situation really helped to put us at ease and get back to "normal". Although my hope is that I never have to use their services again...BluSky would be my first call if I did!
I love the way they took care of wife in her ideas and desires of the changes she wanted, daily with informative and descriptive on the what can be done and what can't be done. They found ways to me her design idea she wanted. They catered to us with a couple of dinner meetings to update on the progress and any concerns we may have had on design and timing. Thanks to Nick, Scott and Victor for making her dream Kitchen, Living Room and Renovation to look like a magazine picture. They have also became friends and still communicate and get together.
It took a very long time to get all the work complete.
We appreciate the kindness and compassion of the all the employees and contractors of BluSky--especially with Nick Fossum and Scott Fry getting us back on track!
Very timely in all aspects of job, from immediate response to timely completion
I loved working with Nick and Scott. They kept us in the loop as our specialty doors took
f o r e v e r to get here and were positive and encouraging throughout.
We have had two restoration issues in the last year and both times BluSky was timely, professional and communicative.
