Company ruined my home after a fire. Never made good on any promises, lied every step of the way, horrible communication, and shoddy work. I've been fixing everything after them for the past year now. They will refuse to see or talk to you until they have your signature and will falsify completion of work.
Organizationally a disaster
Structural - 4 Asset - 1
They were professional, courteous, and easy to contact. They are customer originated.
There were a couple of things damaged but they made it good.
Blackmon Mooring sent two guys to come out and look at the shower. They did some measurements and I told them what I wanted. They were supposed to be ordering the shower pan, but it never came in. They then end up firing these two guys and send another crew out. I told the next crew what I wanted and no one wrote anything down. Neither installation group went step by step. They then get the shower pan backwards and have to call a plumber to move my drain 8-inches over. He is jackhammering in the house all day and I have a toddler in here. This is all just to move the drain over because they didn't want to spend the money on getting a new shower pan. I then called the supervisor and ask "When do I need to pick out faucets and fixtures?" and he said I could do it later. He never actually told me that I needed to pick the faucet before I laid the tile. So, we have this faucet that we have to figure out who made it because they already laid the tile around it. We had to play a guessing game and we had to buy three different faucets to figure out which one fits. They didn't finish off the rough edges that they left and it was very shady.
I appreciated the professionalism and the responsiveness that they showed throughout the process.
We had a really rough start, in the end they made it right. I would not recommend them to others because everything we had to go through to get to the end result.
It was very professional, on time, and had good quality. Their customer service was good.
They take on more than what they can handle. They will come and work at a job for three or four hours and not come back for several days. They will come and bring part of the cabinets. They won't be back to bring the rest of the cabinets or products, whatever you're needing, for several weeks. One of the employees had to pick up his child, I think it was maybe two children, after school every day so in order to meet that employee, if we worked we could not meet him unless we took off work to meet him because he had to be there to pick up his child after school. The scheduling was kind of off. They have some good employees, but they spread them too thin. They have too many jobs and like the cabinet man had so many cabinets going at the same time, he had to work a little bit on this one, a little bit on that one, instead of finishing one set of cabinets and then going to the next one, but he didn't do it. We were probably three months getting the cabinets. They take on too many jobs. They were working on this house and they said, well we've got to drop this and go work on a house down there. They've got too many jobs and not enough employees.
Blackmon Mooring did a great job cleaning my belongings after our house fire, however after that, all other work was below sub-par. Never shown a budget, or a timeline for the long project to return our home to normal. No communication whatsoever concerning daily punch list of jobs to complete. Contacted Alacrity concerning more damage done to the home during project and they denied the evidence I had, photos and all. Did not believe my witness to mishandling money for replacements. They will not support the customer, but calls them invalid. Not impressed with Alacrity who promised professionals to care for my home..It took a change in company's mid-project to finish the job in half the time.
the project started very quickly and then came to a halt.I was repetitively promised a finish date that kept moving back. We were two months past the worst case finish date for completion of work. The work they did was very satisfactory, but we just couldn't seem to keep a schedule. Items that should have been purchase weeks in advance were ordered late. items that were wrong were not replace in a timely manner.
Not after this experience.
After 5 weeks of trying too get things started we get an email stating they can't do the work due to being a manufactured home knowing this from the beginning.
This is my second home that I've had re-roofed with them and they did a great job. They came out on the weekend to give me a quote and to start some of the work. They were very prompt in responding to all of my needs. I was very pleased with their service and I'm very happy with the end result.
Matt Ellis did a great job. He was a really good project manager, and it was timely and efficient.
We were so pleased that we are going to do another.
