I was extremely impressed with A Cut Above, beginning with the initial contact up until the final walkthrough. There was initial consultation with Mani Ramos, who explained all the work the project would entail and was honest and upfront about the pricing. It was clear that the attention to detail was going to surpass other potential bids. Once the project began, each day I was delighted to see how much care was taken to make sure the siding and all the components involved would be protecting my home from the elements. The painting was also done beautifully and in a timely manner. In summary, I was extremely happy to have selected A Cut Above for my siding project, and they have my highest recommendation.

When it comes to the quality of work and professionalism of everyone we worked with, we'd rank them a 5. The cost could be a mitigating factor as to whether we'd recommend them. Not everyone has the same resources. But for anyone who has a tricky or somewhat unusual situation, we'd recommend A Cut Above Exteriors in a heartbeat.

Bill, Andre, Vlad and Josh were great to work with! The workmanship was incredible and they obviously are the best at their jobs. We chose A Cut Above Exteriors to reside our entire house from a cedar/T1-11 mix to all Hardie plank, and they did an excellent job; we highly recommend them! We met with other siding companies, and even though ACAE was more expensive, they had employee crews that worked directly for the company. We appreciated that the crew would have responsibility and accountability to the company. The siding crew of Anatoliy, Chad, and Valerio were exceptional! They were extremely friendly, respectful, diligent, and efficient. Their workmanship, attention to detail, and overall work ethic were amazing. After each work day, the entire area around our house was cleaned up so well it didn’t even look as though they had been there! They did siding on my house last year and replaced the shingle roof this spring. They did a good job. I wouldn't have called them back had they not done a good job on the siding.

Re-siding a home is an expensive undertaking and I greatly appreciated the design consulting that Bill McDermott provided, the project management from Josh Irvin, and the expert craftsmanship from Nikolay and Dmitriy. I also can't forget to add that William did a great job keeping our yard and driveway clean and tidy throughout the process.

We were referred to A Cut Above by a business contact. We had storm damage on the side of our house that had never been correctly repaired. Jamie was our point of contact and explained what the process involved, looked over the area, and pricing. He was friendly and made us feel at ease. He was always available by phone, as my husband thought of additional questions. The crew (Nikoloy and Dimitry) and Sam the project manager, showed up early ready to work on an exceptionally freezing day and worked hard throughout the next day. They were respectful of our property and our neighbors. It was a tight area to get in and out of. They did a beautiful job and we have peace of mind for any future Troutdale windstorms. In the walkthrough Sam explained how the siding had come down in the past. Overall a pleasant experience with a great group of individuals!

Having a roofing/residing project done during the height of the pandemic was challenging! My only complaint (and this isn't against A Cut Above) were the supply chain issues and the length of time it took to finish the project. I'm happy with the results, but it went on for about 5 months, so it felt a little bit like living in limbo for a while.

A Cut Above Exteriors completely replaced the siding on my house and shed in November 2021, and I can't praise the company and its employees enough! Josh, my project manager, is everything a project manager should be: extremely skilled, on top of the project at all stages, communicative, responsive, and very kind (the last asset sadly lacking today in our world). The crew, Nickolay and Dmitriy, are very hardworking, careful, prompt, and helpful--and they surprised me in the best possible way by finishing the project early! During the project, the crew discovered some dry rot under the existing siding and took care of it with a very reasonable time-and-expenses fee (this approach was made clear to me early on). In addition, they solved some other problems I wasn't even aware of: repaired some window frames that had been installed incorrectly; added some 2x4s to the inside walls of the shed to make it more stable; replaced two of the posts on my front porch; and repaired an outdoor electrical outlet, among other items. I am so grateful that Josh, Nickolay, and Dmitri really treated my home as though it were their own! A Cut Above Exteriors came highly recommended to me, and I certainly see why. It's my understanding that--from the owner on down--integrity, honesty, knowledge, skill, and kindness are core values for everyone on staff. You will not be sorry if you hire this company.

These guys were thorough and paid attention to detail in their communication AND workmanship. The project cost was higher than other contractors, but these guys stood out among the rest when it came to quality installation and consistent communication; we have zero regrets and are glad we chose them. Staff was approachable and willing to answer questions and address concerns from start to finish. They dealt with unforeseen issues professionally and went above and beyond without hesitation.
