An absolutely wonderful experience. We would recommend Stateson Homes wholeheartedly and without hesitation! Our circumstances were such that we needed to take a very big risk and start this process while we were still living out of state. All meetings and other communications were done virtually. We saw nothing in-person (not even the site) until more than a month after construction had officially started. Our sales manager, Karen, was absolutely WONDERFUL. She kept us in the loop, sent us updates each week, including videos, and checked in to ensure that we were happy with how everything was progressing. Our project manager, John, ensured that the project stayed on schedule, provided us with weekly updates, and ultimately the project was completed almost exactly on schedule (only a 1 week delay). We are generally very happy with the finished product overall, and with the quality of customer service we received from the Stateson Homes team. Thank you so much, Stateson Homes, for making what could have been an incredibly unnerving experience, an exciting and enjoyable one! Definitely 5 stars!
Stateson builds a quality home, All their representatives are very knowledgeable, friendly and polite.

They were by far the best home builders I have ever worked with.
Schedule - They were amazing at responding to every call quickly and getting everything resolved perfectly.
Schedule - They somehow managed to keep to our schedule despite a late window addition in the middle of Covid supply chain hell. We were/are very pleased.
Quality is not their #1 goal nor is customer satisfaction.
They should include a washer and dryer as an option. The delivery people damaged flooring and walls when the units were delivered. I think they should also offer to have the blinds and/or curtains installed prior to moving in.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The process for building was excellent. All team members very responsive!
From start to finish, Stateson Homes did an excellent job, even through turbulant times with supply chain issues, and managed to keep the build on schedule. They exceeded our expectations.

Stateson produces a good product. I requested several changes but some were not allowed for as strange reason...like a change in tile (I wanted 1" square tiles) for the shower floor.
Professional & Organized - Very professional staff. All, from sales, to fixture selections, interior finishes to site prep managers were outstanding!
I had heard that Stateson was a good builder. I am very satisfied... would not hesitate to recommend.

Stateson Homes ensured I had a pleasurable experience for my first home. They were accommodating which made the process less stressful. I appreciated the Roanoke team’s efforts.

Project Manager - Justin Miller is accommodating and kept me informed with every stage of the process.
From the very beginning we expected the build time to be 7-8 months, but the home was finished in 4 1/2 months. We had very few issues during the building process and any issues we observed were already being addressed by the Stateson Project Managers. Working with Jade from the design team made the stressful process of picking out the interior design items as stress free as possible; she really has an eye for design. During the building of the home we had almost constant contact with Justin (first Project Manager) and Luke (Project manager for over half of the build). They addressed any concerns quickly and professionally. I've had conversations with other people that have built homes with other builders and they talk about how challenging it can be working with the Project Managers; we never had any challenges or conflicts with Justin and Luke. The quality of the home is excellent and it matches the quality of the Stateson employees we were fortunate to have assisting us through the build.
This is the first home building organization I have worked with so I don’t have much to compare to.
The positive: The agents and employees I have interacted with have all been kind and professional. The pre- and intra-construction meetings and explanations were clear and thorough. The schedule we were given was held to and we were kept informed throughout the process.
The negative: The completion date seemed to be set arbitrarily. The last 2-3 weeks of construction seemed to be rushed in order to meet that date and that resulted in rushed work by the contractors who were put under extra pressure. This resulted in quite a few minor errors and missed details. These are easily fixable so not a big deal by themselves, but does lead to concern over what other hidden sersils might have been missed. The overall quality of the building materials seems to have declined in comparison to some of the comparable townhomes built in years past. This is of course to maintain stateson’s profit margin in these times of inflated material and real estate prices, which while being understandable from a business point of view is still disappointing.
Karen, John, Jade, and Monica were a wonderful team to partner with on our journey. We especially appreciated their flexibility with us purchasing remotely from across the country, including pics and videos during the build process.
If I know of someone building a home in the New River Valley, I will recommend them to Stateson Homes.
Excellent sales manager and project manager and good attention to timelines and communication with us, but concerns about overall quality of construction ... fit and finish seemed a bit lacking.
