Construction was very smooth and the team did a great job communicating.
The house is beautiful but I do feel like it was rushed a little.
I love my townhouse, but there are things that were not done completely, such as caulking and painting.
I think you must be building too many things way too fast and not giving enough attention to each build then get overwhelmed by phone calls and messages from things that are screwed up.
I think it is a well-built home. As with any new construction, it requires lots of follow up. After the walkthrough certain things haven't been done. It is taking a long time to get them done, but the construction manager is in constant contact. I am unsure if the delays are with Regent themselves, or the subcontractors.
Regent Homes LLC has great customer service!
Regent homes came with very high recommendations, however the home was delivered about 2 or 3 months late, There are 3 or 4 things that still need to be done. A few of the items that need to be done would indicate that the quality was not up to Regent's standards. The realtor who served us who works for regent homes did a great job, he tried very hard. The fact that it was delivered late put our family into a significant bind. This is why I rate them a 4 and not a 5.
My hesitation to recommend Regent is due to lack of communication.
Where do I begin... the framing install was messy and had to be reworked multiple times. Due to poor framing workmanship, the drywall had to be repaired in several areas. The stair's baseboard was installed damaged and uneven (3/4"difference from the top of stairs to bottom). For the walls of the stairway, we are going to hire someone to repair drywall and paint because Regent claims that it's within tolerance (sections of the drywall are still wavy and paint is blotchy). Master bathroom shower subway tile had to be torn down and reinstalled due to poor workmanship. The laundry room utility sink with 4" instead of the standard 10" and the backsplash was damaged. Because Regent refused to install a proper sink, after closing, we purchased and installed a 10" sink and put in a new countertop and backsplash. While one of the painters was repairing drywall in the laundry room, he punctured a water line on the inside wall, which caused water damage to the adjacent formal dining room wall, baseboard, and laminate floor. Damage kitchen cabinet doors and panel. Disappointed with the cabinet tier 3 upgrade quality. Issues with HVAC units: 1) improper wiring and loose pipe, the condensation that overflowed the floor pan caused damage to the kitchen ceiling and crown molding. 2) after closing, we had to call the HVAC company two more times for similar issues. The technician confirmed that the problem was improper wiring at install. Fiber optics cable was never installed from street to house. The water heater broke down one month after closing. We also understand that other builders are facing similar issues due to the current pandemic and shortage of labor force. Nonetheless, we expected higher standards on a home of over half a million in this community.
I bought a house floor plan, and it wasn't built the way it was agreed upon. I had to pay someone else to come fix it because they neglected it.
The yard was horribly dead when I moved in, but they fixed it so I guess no real problems there. The wall is what really makes the star rating go down for me
I would happily recommend Regent to a friend, I already have. My boyfriend is also considering to make a purchase in the same subdivision.
The upgrade options are nice and they do have great floor options not considered upgrades. I like the idea of the work/live/play community, but I’d like to see what commercial space they actually even build here before I can say I feel they conquered that plan. Home warranty issues after close have been an issue getting resolved. Sales agent seems constantly irritated that people would dare email her and ask questions.
Easy purchase process, nice neighborhood, good build quality
That have a great company and product.
Overall, I think Regent Homes are better than the local competitors.
We had a great experience with Regent. Good knowledgeable people, especially Brooke and Alex.
Purchasing a home during the build process is supposed to be fun and the builder is there to make sure the customer is happy. Regent Homes cares more about how many builds they can get done rather than taking a little extra time to ensure the happiness of the customer. We ended up having multiple final walk-thru's because the items we marked were never touched. Upon the second final walk-thru we were told that the house met Regent Homes standards which really meant Regent Homes didn't want to take anymore time to make the customer happy.
The home we built with Regent is our second home, so much of the communication was done remotely. Regent was easy to work with and communicated well so that we knew status each step of the way, even during the difficult pandemic period. We're happy we chose Regent.
Overall the build was really pleasant. I feel like I got a good value for my money. I'd recommend people consider it with some warnings and caveats.
NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN REAGENT & homeowner. Poor , sloppy subcontractors
No sprinklers in entire complex with a lot of dead grass & more over time. Pushed back closing 3 times. Little concern from Reagent as they are in the drivers seat having a plethora of buyers. At least right now
I got into a verbal altercation with the original realtor. I had to go to a higher-up to get a different agent. I've had continued contact with the original agent where I am sent inappropriate emails.
Regent was fantastic throughout the entire process of selecting our lot and construction of our new home.
Due to the workmanship of the finishers, I would be hesitant to recommend this builder to friends/family.
Felt home was overpriced, due to questionable building materials. Communication was average, but overall the Town of Madison is a nice upcoming area. Wouldn't recommend Regent Home Builders to any new people in the Madison area.
The quality of work was not as expected.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Regent Homes LLC as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
