I would say I recommend Otero but with the caveat that our remodel was expensive, especially when speaking with others who have had a basement remodel recently.

We were looking for a team who was capable of a level of service and customization that one would not typically see. We also wanted someone who used superior products and who used trades that provided the highest quality services and would guarantee their work. We are in a very busy time in our life and needed someone who was patient with us. Otero fit our needs perfectly, and delivered a product that I am confident no one in the region could quite pull off.

Expertise - Otero's team has extensive experience and expertise in luxury residential construction. Regarding design, in full disclosure we had an idea of what we wanted, but not the details. We also knew what we were looking for was not common. It took time and collaboration for us to work through. and while this required shared learning, there was a willingness, and dedication to making sure everything was done in a top tier fashion.

Everyone should consider Otero as first their choice when building a new house.

I think they have an creative design team and do a great job on new construction or totally gut and redo but just doing minor upgrade and cosmetic upgrades is beneath them.

Otero really was amazing. They did what they said they would, on the timeline they said they would, at a cost they said they would. Guessing they will not be the cheapest option, but they will be your BEST option. Everyone was a pleasure to work with, but especially my Project Manager John. Communication was spot on, which is sooooo important in a large scale building project. You will find bumps in the road, but he owned them 100%, found a solution, and communicated back to me at every step. And, in the end, my project was much more stunning than I ever could have dreamed up on my own.

Ted's process is far superior from other design-build firms who rarely incorporate an interior designer into the project team. Communication has been excellent and calls / emails get returned promptly, even if to acknolwedge receipt and let the client know questions will be discussed internally first so the answers are more informed and collaborative. From the perspective of a customer who is not familair with Otero Signature Homes, it may be hard to differentiate the differences between Otero and Payne and Payne. This is an area that could use some improvement in order increase awareness and familairty among consumers in Northeast Ohio. Ted Otero and his team have a unique story to tell which provides advantages over the competition but may be unknown to consumers until they start working with the team.
