One example that illustrates this is when the backsplash in our pantry was being installed, the grout turned out darker than we had expected. We reached out to the team about it and they were very understanding and prompt in addressing our concerns. They worked with us to select new shades for the pantry and the kitchen (which was set to be grouted the same color as the pantry). This was all brought up, discussed, and executed within a couple of days and we love the final result!

Adam put so much dedication into our house, it often felt as if he was building it for himself. He was onsite early, in the evenings, and even on the weekends. He truly cared about and was invested in our home and our happiness. Nate was so helpful with putting the final touches on the house to make sure it was perfect for move-in. There was a heartwarming moment, when the exterior crew noticed an inhabited bird nest in the framing of our porch and built a temporary perch for it in the corner so that mama bird and her eggs would be safe and undisrupted while they continued their work on the porch. Mr. Luis (deck/exterior crew) went above and beyond on everything he constructed! Simply Quartered was amazing to work with and had so many beautiful options to choose from for our flooring and tile.

Construction Quality - Very impressed. We utilized a third party inspector during framing to help us insure our investment was being protected. He told us in his 40 years of home building experience, this was one of the best houses he had seen built. You can tell the pride that the team takes in building the home from how they store materials, how they keep the job site, and how the address the owner when are on the site. Every team member we interacted with was proud to show us what they had done on the project and wanted to make sure we didn’t have any questions that needed answered.

Employees & Subcontractors - Like I said above, Old world employees and subs take a tremendous amount of pride in their ability to brings your plans to reality. This is demonstrated by the time they take walking you through the steps of the design, build, and finish of the project. It was very great to work with a team that has that mentality.

Prior to signing a contract with OWC, I talked with/met with about a dozen other builders/contractors. I received the most information and support from OWC than I did with any other builder.

Salesperson Knowledge - I was speaking with Jim, emailing l back and forth, for about 3 months determining the perfect floor plan and build for our family, it was then, after 3 or so months that I found out he was part owner. The customer of a home of this level has to make Stuart's job so much more difficult with selections, changes etc. I appreciate Stuart making all the efforts managing all the trades and delivering a great end product. I even told Stuart a few times that Kirsten is the "boss" on some design things. The working relationship between all was so good that some design changes were adjusted without me really knowing . . . I always smiled when things turned out perfect or better than expected. (I.e. black ceiling in wine and bourbon room and a few others). Great work Team!

Schedule - I will absolutely give 5 stars here. Our realtor felt that getting a jump on the selling season of our old home would serve us well. It was a home that didn't sell when listed not too many years prior. Of course it sold rather quickly this go around. Old World put together a price in the long run that was cheaper than other builders. When you price compare similar builds, they were cheaper and less of a headache. Their model was similar to what I would normally do. The process was more enjoyable than for some of the other builders.
