I had trouble with my insurance company understanding and stepping up to the issue with my roof, Dallas at Mid South pushed and accomplished a fully covered replacement for my roof. Without his effort, not sure it would have happened. The install of the new roof went seamless.

Justin was easy to work with and responded to all my calls and questions.

MidSouth Construction did pretty good work. They had to come back and couldn't fix some of the issues. They also tried to charge me more than they quoted me and couldn't come up with a good reason why.

Poor communication, unorganized, and slow to follow up.

Roof inspection appointment was on Monday 4/3 at 9:00 am, was told estimate would be sent by Friday 4/7. Did not receive estimate until Thursday 4/27. E-signed agreement on Friday 4/28. No response for several weeks. Then had to provide roof color 3 times (voicemail, written paper with deposit check, and via text). Original roof install date was Friday 7/14, but material was not delivered on time. Sent crew on Saturday 7/15, but was rained out. Most of the crew seemed confused about what to do and did not speak English. Project manager left but crew stayed in driveway for over an hour. I helped boost off van with dead battery. Crew left trailer beside driveway over weekend, just to come pickup it up on Monday morning to go to another job.(was not asked if they could store trailer). Installed most of the roof on Tuesday 7/17 but was one pack of shingles short. Had to install a different color to cover roof before rain. Came back Wednesday 7/18 to replace section with correct shingle color.

Price was fair, and luckily I was not in a hurry.

The company was very good to work with. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing work done. Spencer was one of the best and most respectful people I have ever worked with. He knew his roof business and made sure the workers did the work properly. Mid South is a real company and not a fly by night outfit. Give them a shout when you need work done.

I have been hesitant to review this, as I don't know what a "standard" might be for this kind of work, as this was my first major house project. They did a nice job, but needless to say, there were hiccups...

Project Manager Dallas Sommers and his crew were great. They did a perfect job. They were thorough in cleaning up after the job. All were so very kind and polite. Dallas guided me through the process of what the build would entail and inspected the roof prior. I highly recommend this company.

It was seamless. I was out of town when they started work. I came back and it looked phenomenal. They finished the job with minimal feedback, and did it right the first time. They didn't need to come back for any adjustments, repairs or anything. It was good.

I had partial siding and total roof replacement done after a wind storm (storm was March 3,2023).I worked with Dallas Sommers. Dallas was very kind,respectful, informative, explained things well to me. The crew of people used were also very respectful. The final partial siding replacement and total roof replacement was completed. The required HOA materials were used.

During this project, there were a few hic cups. I had to use HOA required materials, which took time to get. After a few weeks tarp was placed on roof for protection until materials came in. The total project seemed to take quite a bit of time, with the insurance company telling me that the project manager hadn't submitted requests etc in a timely manner to the Contractors Connection portal. But Dallas would explain that he had submitted various needed requests ( certain materials, tarp ,etc) to be approved but that the insurance adjustor assigned to my case didn't understand the Contractors Connection portal. These explanations were given to me on a few occasions regarding hold ups. I didn't know who to believe, regarding these hold ups, but I did sense Dallas' frustrations.

Dallas came out after I requested for a final inspection .He sent a crew for a more thorough clean up (?) on the roof.. I had asked throughout the project for a statement on how my gutter system held up through the storm (worried about possible damage). . He also said that after 2 good storms, rains he would come out to check to see how the roof was holding up. That hasn't happened yet. I haven't received a statement about the gutter system condition. I wanted that stated (for insurance reasons) in the final report.

I was very comfortable working with Dallas.He was very patient with changes to materials , the particulars of having to work in this subdivision(rules, restrictions).
I would recommend MidSouth Construction , LLC to others to work on their home projects. People in our subdivision frequently ask around about who to use for projects. He definitely has learned how to work around , with the particulars, that this HOA demands.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Worked with my schedule and dealt with the insurance company for me for almost the whole project.

I would definitely recommend this company to do a roof repair. There were some communication issues which eventually got resolved but a little frustrating. I did have a large water stain on my kitchen ceiling and when they painted over that with stark white paint, it made the rest of my ceiling look really bad. I did let them know and they said they would take a look at it, but have not. Other than that, they were very timely, took care of my property and my roof looks fantastic. They took care of checking my interior leaks and were very thorough and explained the process. I would definitely recommend them if you are needing a roof repaired or replaced.
